After 1 year of receipt, I have taken biometric today. How long after biometric, you get the interview appointment letter or card produced status? TIA.

Congrats on your pregnancy.❤ I think we have the same timeline. After a year from date of receipt, I just had my biometric yesterday. Today, my status online was updated to "fingerprints were taken" after a year of being stuck with "case received" status.

  2. We sent ours a bit late. Our window opened the July 7 and we sent our package on July 21 through USPS to USCIS P.O.Box and when we checked today (July 26) using USPS tracking number, it is tagged as "available for pick up" dated July 25. I am worried. We mailed it to USCIS lockbox/PO Box and now we are wondering why it is tagged by USPS that way. Anyone who has the same experience? Im extremely worried. 😢😨

  3. After three (3) days, I got my passport with my visa stamped into it. :)(L) I had it delivered at work since I am at the office 5days/week. I did not expect for it to arrive really quick because I was told to wait 7 to 10 days for provincial areas. Felt like Christmas in July. Me and my husband are beyond excited and happy.(L)

I apologize if this has been asked before (I was researching and couldn't find the link to solve my questions). To those who used to be Phil. Government employees & are now in the US, I work as an accountant in the government but I will resign as soon as I get the CFO sticker and I want to know if the immigration (naia) asked for your Civil Service Form No. 7 - Clearance? Will an original resignation stamped received, acknowledged and signed approved by the local chief executive or its appointing authority suffice? I am curious if the immigration officer at naia will ask for my travel clearance because waiting for the clearances will take more or less 30 days per the new existing civil service rules (bureaucratic system takes so much time). Me and husband are planning on purchasing a ticket to florida once everything is ok.

Your inputs related to the aformentioned matter will be much appreciated. :)

Not sure where you are located but there is now a CFO in Davao as well.

I lived in Bacolod, Negros Occidental. :) thank you so much Hank, youve been very helpful.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us!  Congrats!! :D

My spouse has his interview next month.  I saw that the I-864 and all related financial documents were a part of the list of things to bring to the interview.  They did not ask you for your I-864 at all?

    Thank you so much :)

No, they didnt ask for my I864 but I had it with me just in case. Twelve days before my interview appointment, US Embassy Manila sent an email to my husband listing all the documents that they require and I864 wasnt listed.

Fall in Line, #1 hobby in the Philippines...…...

Yes, fortunately I brought tons of patience that day. :)

(different scenario) I overheard a tourist saying "and this is what you call fast food" while we were waiting in a very long line at a fast food restaurant (25 people before us) :D

I sort of thought you attended earlier, but one never knows for sure.    All you need to do now is swing by CFO with the certificate and your passport to get the sticker affixed.

Not sure what your employer may, or may not, request.

thank you Hank. :) I will probably get the sticker at CFO Cebu because it is nearer, 30mins. flight time

You will need an appt scheduled for the GCP seminar.  Not sure how far out the CFO openings are for the GCP seminar.

Don't need a appt if you already have the certificate and only need the sticker.

i already have the certificate 2 yrs ago when I changed name and used my husband's family name for my passport. i only need the sticker. is this the PDOS??

when i attended gcp 2 yrs ago, CFO instructed me that clearance will also be required from my employer since I worked for the provincial government office. if this is the current rule, i still need to submit documents to my employer for mt clearance.

Yes, arriving at 4am is a waste of time and lots of extra waiting.   If they arrive after SLEC has been open for maybe an hour they will walk right in,  and still be done with their first day with ease.

With the change in how they test children the "good days" are not so cut and dry anymore.   Friday is a bad day as the 2nd day isn't until Monday .. which is OK if you live in metro Manila.

I agree with an hour after SLEC has been opened. There was one applicant who arrived at 7am and was done by 11am... and there were three applicants who arrived at 2am and were done by 1pm... :)

I find all this getting there at 4 am and falling in line to be a waste of time

Go there like on Wednesday and show up at 1 pm, it should only take a hour or two to complete Day One Medical......

Wasted time entirely depends on our definition of it. :) I was glad I did mine in the morning &  left nothing to chance so when SLEC required me additional papers for my blood transfusion record, I had enough time to call the hospital and the Doctor’s clinic (which usually closes at 4pm). If I did it in the afternoon, I wouldn’t be able to get the records on time and I would have missed my flight the next day too (which would require me to file another leave of absence from work).

Waiting wasn’t so bad, it allowed me to be present in the moment that I would have otherwise missed. “Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time” :)

  13. Hi everyone :)

I am from Bacolod City, Negros Occidental and my husband is from Florida. Been reading the whole thread for a while to know who has the Ilonggo / Hiligaynon as their mother tongue :)  I can understand bisaya too. (pag amping) (halong)
