I think you just need to be realistic enough to expect your lifestyle to be different. Some things will be a little strange for you for a while, but all new things take time to adjust to.
Fortunately, you will have the love of your fiance to help you through some of your ups and downs. You are not only going to have to adjust to married life, but also the differences in America from your home country. Plus, you will be missing your family back home.
All of us here on VJ felt all these things in our own way, and I have to tell you, I've been here for 6 years, and I sometimes still miss my life in Canada. And Canada is very similar to the U.S. in so many ways, but I miss my family and friends every day.
Just give yourself lots of time to adjust to your new life here in the U.S. and talk to your fiance about any of your fears.
Good luck!!!!

At the time of your interview, you can mention any errors to them so that they can be rectified. It's better to have the information that USCIS has on file to be accurate so it doesn't cause problems in the future.
Good luck.

That's always been the biggest complaint people have about the immigration process... the fact that the Service Centers are not equal in terms of processing times.
Unfortunately, there's really nothing anyone can do, so you just have to be patient and hope that the time passes quickly.
Good luck.

Make sure you make copies of all your originals, so that at the interview, you can give them the copies and they can return the originals to you. They need the copies to put in your file.

You will be just fine to enter through B.C./Washington state.

Congrats!!!
Very informative post!!

I have not heard of this happening to anyone else, but I'm sure someone here on VJ will post if it has.
I think what probably happened is that you got an officer that didn't know all the facts, which happened to us many many times during the whole K-1 process.
Anyways, congrats on your entry into the U.S., and good luck with the wedding planning!!!!

Congrats and best wishes!!!!

Welcome to VJ, firstly, and you may want to read the "Guides" and "Visa FAQs" sections here on VJ to get all the information you will need about immigrating to the U.S.
Good luck with your journey!!!

I can't comment on Germany, but you don't have to give up your Canadian citizenship to become American.

Congrats on the successful interview and on not having to do the ROC!!!

We just used the tax transcripts from the IRS... you can order them online.

Congrats on passing the test!!!!
I made the oath ceremony appointment at my interview for a few weeks later.

Good advice... I always thought the K-2 child had to have their own passport.
-
Congrats and best wishes!!!! You get a bit of a break until you have to apply for ROC.
Good luck.

The signed letter is what they are looking for. My ex-husband and I had "joint" custody of my daughter, and they weren't interested in that part as much as the signed letter from her Dad giving his permission for her to move to the U.S. with me.
-
The document we got for my daughter's biological father to sign was called a "Statutory Declaration", and we filled the form in ourselves and then had it notarized at a lawyer's office. This is what it said:
"I, (Father's Name), of (address), solemnly declare that: I give my permission for my daughter (daughter's name), date of birth (xx/xx/xxxx), to move to the United States of America to live with her mother, (mother's name), mother's date of birth (xx/xx/xxxx), of (address), effective immediately."
Her biological father went into the lawyer's office and signed the document.
Good luck.
