No unfortunately we didn't know anything about the immigration system so we married right away in her country instead of a fiance visa also does that mean they won't be processing our packet at this time? Like we have to wait the month + normal processing times?
We received the paper copy of the receipt notice on 4-19-21. It's at the Potomac Service Center. I also received a notice to sign up for the online account. I did that. Hopefully the process will go a little faster. Now we are exercising patience. Have you received anything yet?

We filed for my step children on March 19 and received the texted Official Receipt Notice yesterday. We mailed the petitions.

You will not get anymore hits on your credit if it is within 30 days from the last time your credit was pulled for buying a home.

My husband went down in the end of January for his grandmothers funeral. He had to go with a negative COVID test and have the approved travel JA authorization form. He did not need to put an app on his phone, but he did give them a contact number where he was staying. He quarantined for 14 days at his mothers house. After that he was good to go about. He attended the grave digging, set up and gravesite funeral while wearing a mask. When it was time for his return, he took the COVID test on a Friday and flew back to US on a Monday and also had to complete an authorization form for US. We are not in a state where he had to quarantine for 14 days upon return. I am not sure what the requirements are for Certified Hotels. My daughter was going down to an all inclusive hotel but she said there were to many restrictions and changes (staying on the property, no mini bars in rooms, etc) so she did decided not to go.

We provided school records from the schools she attended (basic, primary and high school). We didn't need DNA. This was provided after the interview when requested.

Go to the interview. Take the letter they sent you to the interview to show the address change. Considering everything is pretty much virtual when it comes to government paperwork, the paperwork may be able to be transferred via email of internal systems.

There are quite a few of us that are at MSC. We are just waiting with a few exceptions. There have been a lot of February, 2019 filers who have received their 10 year card.

Wth? There is no tone, you're clearly reading things into the post that aren't there. I said "Never heard of, must be new". Let us know what the letter says, as this is new to many of us.
Is it just another copy of the letter you already received last year?
My stepdaughter received the same letter. She is a college student. The letter was just an update of the 1st extension letter. It still said 18 months from the card expiration. It's a receipt notice. The received date is March 1, 2019. The notice date is 7-20-20. The wording was exactly the same. I thought maybe she received it just in case they ask for school. My husband did not receive one.

I filed as single to file electronically. We did not have any problems with NVC. Once he came and received his SSN, I amended the tax returns.

I agree with trying to file in your own, if possible.

I just saw on the news that U.S. embassies are temporarily suspending visa services due to Covid 19.

We got a letter last week that our case was transferred to NBC "to speed up processing." Anyone else get this? Wonder what speed up means...
We are at MSC. Google states it is also known as NBC. We were assigned there since Feb. 2019. I hope it does speed up.

Congratulations to all who have received their cards. Have any February, 2019 MSC filers had any movement beyond being ready to schedule interview?

It’s an accredited college.
Did you use your extension letter to apply?
Used the expired green card.
-
It may just be the school. Is it an accredited school? We didn't have a problem at a state university when we applied.
-
The extension letter extends the green card. Upload the green card, front and back and the extension letter. Financial aid asks if you are a citizen or legal permanent resident. This should suffice. Just provide what is requested, you should be okay.

Go to print shop and print it out. You will have it even if it's not an original.

I have a friend who was originally a K1 but filed for children after marriage. He just received his 10 year green card (filed 2017). He filed for the childrens ROC in November 2018. His wife filed for divorce last week. The wife informed the kids mother about the divorce and stated she is sending the children back. He has moved out and has his children with him. The question is what happens with the kids status.

Ours says the same thing. I've only checked the site 2x within the last 90 days. Maybe it's because I'm using my phone to try to access it. 🤔

Just checked USCIS site. States case is ready for interview (as of June 6). At least it's something...🙄
I-1551 stamp, travel & passport expiring
in Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion
Posted
My husband and daughter went for the I-551 stamp last month. Her passport expires in November. Her passport was not stamped. A card was stamped and inserted into her passport that is removal. The agent stated this way when the passport is sent to the embassy for renewal, my daughter would still have her valid stamp for the new passport.
