I must say I HATE the new automated system. How are "all representatives are busy right now" even a thing as no one can seem to get through to one! I know my case status was transferred but am trying to find out where it was transferred to! Cant get a hold of anyone and all it does if the automated system cant help you is go "I'm sorry I cant assist you good bye" and disconnects the call. Im trying to be patient but looking at the dates currently being processed on the processing area of this site my case should have already been processed even with COVID a while ago!

Can't remember what we put in each field on the form-fillable form. We might have manually written it in the main question, and left the IF applicable sub-parts blank.

We also decided to include a section in the cover letter, to feel better about it. Maybe it helped.

Good to know! I'm afraid to hand write in the boxes the form would not let me type it! so I think I will hand write in the boxes that the form wont let me fill out but also type in the addition info area and put it in the cover letter.

Anybody here know how the health care tax applies to immigrants with pending AOS? My husband has been here since January 2017 without health insurance, although he does have emergency health care from his country  Entered on a K1 visa and has a pending I-130, I-485.

Husband finally got his EAD approved now just waiting for the actual card and his AOS!

Hey guys , looks like a ton of people are moving forward! My husband and I are still waiting for anything!! EAD and AOS we are approaching 90 days since they recievied the info from the RFE so fingers crossed we hear something in the next few weeks!!!

No, the evidence that I was referring to was for the expidite request. As their computers were showing we never ask. Even though they sent us a letter asking to submit proof of why we needed to expedite. 

So called today to find out what was going on with the expidited request and make sure they received the fax, for his EAD apparently there was nothing on file. So we have to wait another 5 days for them to review our request and get back to us (likely going to ask for proof AGAIN).

Yes, I got it on Monday and sent it in on Tuesday. Sorry yours didn't get that far did you try calling? They should have sent something even if it's a no were sorry you don't qualify, or as some have gotten we currently have too many expedited requests.

Those of you that submitted and expedite request. How long did it take you to hear back after you submitted your proof/evidence of need to expidite?

So i guess we should be counting our 90 days from that date. Very similar situation for us too!! I wish they were more consistent with if RFE/RFIE effect other applications or not as it's frustrating to see other people that had one get approved without it effecting them. But is great for them just wish I was one of the lucky ones! We will get through this!

So we just got a letter stating that due to our RFE our case is still within the processing of 90 day even though we thought we were at day 106 we are actually on day 38. this was for an RFE not an RFIE. so it looks like both can potentially delay it!!! So Monday we are putting in for severe financial loss as my hours at work are decreasing during the summer months, as well as I have medical bills! 

I know several people here put in an expedited request how did the process go for you guys? So I can be ready when we call.

Yes I could just go through everyone's timeline but this puts it all in one place for everyone. 

 

I know each case is different and I shouldn't use other peoples to figure out mine. But I'm impatient! And now that the wait is. Beyond the 90 days I have the itch. I know there are people still waiting well beyond 100 days and it's sad.

Just realized I should probably post my info too! LoL

came in on K1 visa

Filed for AOS (i485) and EAD (i765) received on March 17.

We had an RFE on our 485 as our international birth certificate with translations on the back wasn't translated enough. That was recievied on May 24.

So that should put our EAD at Day 98.

and our AOS at Day 30.

i really hope I don't have to wait 60 more days for his EAD because of the RFE.

I found mine via the following link. After the search there was an envelope icon that I clicked on next to their picture. I haven't heard anything yet I think it's accurate at least I hope so. It may also depend on the office their in but I would think they all would have the same means of communication.

Well it's day 98 for my husbands EAD. I just got done sending our local congressman an email hoping he can help. I figure it can't hurt so why not! Here is hoping it does!!!

we are staying with my husband's mom's house atm. 

My husband am I are in a similar situation currently living with my parents, brother and his fiancée in a small 3 bed 1 bath house (6 people total) waiting for him to get his EAD so we can move out after he gets a job!! 

We are currently on day 93 so hopefully soon!

Well it's been several days and no real update! Got my hopes up and smash!!! Looks like it was a fluke text update!! (I had already received one for current update so it was technically a duplicate)

put in an inquiry for his EAD so hopefully soon we know something!

Yeah I thought that too at first. But I looked back on previous texts and i had already got a text for the we received you RFE and have resumed you case... I'm trying to check online again but the site seems to be having issues. Fingers crossed that there is an update! that would be fantastic!!!

Weird I just got a text that my AOS had a case update. But went to check status and it was still the same!

It's a bit confusing if you look in the bottom right corner  under the table it says May 26th but I would like to think the update is from March 31 which puts them right on target.

Grrr just checked the USCIS website for current processing times. It was finally updated on May 26, 2017. Either they didn't update it correctly or they are wayyyyy behind as it said they are currently processing applications from December 2016. But yet I remember it being the same December 2016 before they updated finally. So I'm guessing it's inocorrect at least I hope so. If they actually are only on December this is gonna suck! I think I'm going to put in an inquiry can't hurt any thing as I'm at Day 76 and they tell you to submit one on their site if it's been more than 75 days since you last heard from them.

So I belive we are hitting the 90 day mark for those that filed on or near the 1st of March. Which means hopefully the EADs start flowing in! Fingers crossed for everyone! Our month for EADs is finally here!
