I'm not really surprised by this.
    1) Really short visit
    2) Haven't met after that and it's been over 2 years
    3) The embassy you are dealing with
    4) You waited to file SO late that it messed it up. Did the evidence say the dates you met to and from or just the first date?
I'm sorry but like I said I'm not surprised. You can file again though either K-1 or CR-1 as long as you meet before. And I'm sure they will look at this for your next case also, the facetime.

It should be 2 years from the time of filing but approval is at the CO's discretion. However, by what you stated above, you met for about a week in March 2014 and haven't met again since then. The CO likely found it questionable that you have an ongoing relationship since at the time of the interview you haven't seen each other in nearly 2 1/2 years. Plus the fact that you filed the K-1 a few days prior to the 2 year expiration of meeting probably did not help your case. You can still get married in the beneficiary's country and file for a spousal visa. Sorry I don't have any helpful information to provide other than doing a spousal visa.

In my opinion, always follow the directions exactly. The last thing you want is for a hold up or denial to be caused just for not submitting exactly what they ask for...
The few extra minutes it will take to copy all the pages gives you peace of mind

Haha why thank you! I think that from what it seems, some people on here (not talking about anyone on this thread), but on others believe they are now qualified to be immigration attorneys or the foremost experts on the topic.... just for what it's worth, everyone's case is different so no matter how we all come to our conclusions based on our experiences, we should keep in mind that we are only offering our opinions and we are not and should not be the judges (thank goodness) for who gets approved or who doesn't.
Phew, this felt really good to say!

Important Notice to Visa Applicants: After you have completed the DS-160, you must take these next steps below:
Print and keep the DS-160 barcode page. (You will not need to print the full application.) You must schedule a visa interview appointment. (The U.S. Embassy or Consulate does not schedule an appointment for you.) Visit the U.S. Embassy or Consulate website where you will be interviewed for country-specific instructions.; Pay the visa application processing fee. Review country-specific instructions on the U.S. Embassy or Consulate website and yes, you should fill out the DS 160
Morocco specific financee needs the 2 criminal investigation reports (look at morocco embassy site to see the names)
tell financee to be calm, (do not smile as they consider this serious business), answer all questions without hesitating, do not say more than they ask for
know everything about you and i mean everything
Incha allah / all will go good
