Our card is being produced.....got the update today. For anybody interested, we filed November 24th 2018, no communication from USCIS at all until July 2019. Received fingerprint appointment for 24th July 2019. No update after that. Today received notification about card production.

Mine just changed today to 'Case was approved', so 3 days after 'Card is being produced'.

On October 7, 2019, we approved your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number LIN19900xxxxx. We sent you an approval notice. Please follow the instructions in the notice.

Yeah I would totally recommend people to not reschedule it does seem to slow the process. And you will be in and out the biometrics in less then 20 min.

Sadly don't have an option on this one.

My local office doesn't accept walk in. And this vacation cost me an arm, I'll take delays in my case over losing tons of money

    Thanks for your answer!

As for point 3 I more meant what are the effects of having a different name in the US than I do in Belgium? Since I wouldn't be changing my name in Belgium. I've heard from a Dutch immigrant to the US (from the Netherlands) they had some issues because the names were different but I am unable to find information about this for Belgium.

    Hi Taygi!

I've been in the US for 5 years now and decided not to change my last name (French sounding). Other than the fact that some people may mispronounce it, I didn't get any issue with that.

Where I live (WI), there are lots of immigrants from Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany, Netherlands so a lot of people actually have some very European sounding last names and no one seems to bother.

After that, it's up to you. But for me it felt like I would be giving away a part of my identity to change my name

have you heard if anyone faced any problem in the same situation? I am planning for one month trip but my lawyer says It is very risky and he never recommend me to travel.

I am student here and to be honest he scared me.

    Hey,

I just traveled a second time on my extension letter (to the Carribean) and no issues again.

It is written on the letter that you can travel so I don't see why you would have any issue

  5. So I just traveled overseas with an extension letter and I figure I'd share my experience if some of you are about to travel.

I traveled from O'Hare (Chicago) to Brussels (Europe).

To my big surprise, everyone from flight attendant to border agents were very familiar with the letter.

I didn't need to explain my situation, and they knew right away what it was.

The only thing I couldn't do was to check in online before my flight because of the expired date of the green card.

When I landed in Chicago, I couldn't register on the automatic kiosks and was guided to an officer.

He asked if I was removing the conditions of my green card, wrote down the new expiration date of my green card and asked me to wait for a higher grade officer.

I had to wait in secondary inspection for maybe 2 minutes and the agent gave me my document back and told me everything looks good and that I was good to go.

Border patrol seem very familiar with the extension letter and make no fuss about it.

Good luck for the ones traveling soon!

    Hi Guys,

I have submitted my I-751 remove condition application in early October 2018, I've received the action of notice with extension of residency after 30 days from original date when I submitted my package to Dallas USCIS processing center.

So far it has been more then two months I haven't heard anything back from them.

My case status with USCIS online still display the same notification, that they have received my application and it's actually under review through the USCIS.

My question is does anybody going through the same thing? and whats the wait time to receive the green card.

Does it normally take more then 60 days after receiving the action notice to get the appointment for Bio Metrics.

    Thank you for your help.

The wait time to receive a green card depends on the service center, but on average it takes about 18-24 months to receive it

I hears about that but they sent a letter saying we dont need biometrics again etc. I was trying to understand the timeline (like 2 months or 3 months etc) cuz I heard in some cases where biometrics mail got lost and people missed their biometrics appointment.

Oh I didn't know you were supposed to get a letter, even if you don't need biometrics.

I thought that no letter meant no biometrics.

    I'll be patient then :)
