  1. Hi misshepburn!

    I saw that you posted this on another forum that is now closed about electronic processing: "email processing will shave 8 + weeks off your wait time....its literally like night and day. We got through NVC in 2 weeks (including a checklist) from the time we sent in our AOS/IV packets via email. "

    My question is : how do you do this email processing?

    Thanks for any advice!

      @maolga hello there!

      Yes... its true that email/electronic processing at NVC will significantly reduce your waiting time, but you are only allowed to do it if you are from one of 19 countries (as of right now). They seem to add a few each year.

      Here is a link to the embassies/consulates that NVC allows email processing: https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/documents/Submit_documents.html

      You MUST do email processing if:

      "If your NVC case number begins with one of the following prefixes:

      • AKD
      • AMM
      • BGH (except I-730 petitions)
      • DMS
      • GZO"

      You can choose if you are from:

      MTL Any immigrant visa category Email Processing or Mail Processing
      GUZ CR1, CR2, F1, F2A, F2B, F3, F4, IR1, IR2 or IR5 Email Processing or Mail Processing
      ADD, BNS, FRN, GTM, HNK, KEV, MRV, PHP, RDJ, SYD, TGG, or THT IR1, IR2, IR5, CR1, or CR2 Email Processing or Mail Processing
