    Congrats!

Do you know when did USCIS mail the receipt notice?

My case was received on November 2nd, and USCIS mailed the receipt notice on December 4th. I still haven't received it though.

They give me My receipt number  SRCXXXXXXXXX, Application was received on 11/2 my check has not been cashed yet, but I have a question. When I use the USCIS case tracker app and put in my receipt number, it says my case was received on December 2nd.I thought  was going to say the day they put my case in the system.

You mean "it says my case was received on November 2nd"?

Yes, even my case status says the same. But if you click on the case history tab, it will show the date then actually opened the case. It shouldn't be anything to worry about.

Folks who have received I-751 notices, what does the prefix say? See below from USCIS and for more details refer to the link

For example, the speakers confirmed that I-751 receipt numbers with the prefix MSC are routed for interview scheduling; receipt numbers that do not contain the MSC prefix (e.g., EAC, VSC, LIN, etc.) are routed to the appropriate service center for an interview waiver determination. The speakers also clarified that, if the jointly filed I-751 petition is pending at the time of the N-400 interview, an applicant should bring his or her petitioning spouse to the naturalization interview.

My receipt number starts with Lin. I have not received the notice yet.

Yes I did it says on 12/07/2020 your application was rejected it was filed improperly filed and that they are sending the whole thing back and that to  correct  it and resubmit and if the paperwork is  not returned by 01/06/2021 to contact USCIS

Interesting. At least that's a relief for the rest of us who has the receipt number. My case status says 'Case Received'. Good luck!

I got it today when my husband called and they told him it was rejected and they said that we have to wait to see why it was rejected. I scanned the whole application except the money orders to my computer so the only thing I did wrong was not putting N/A on the blank spaces... I’m looking over it now....

If they gave you a receipt number, did you try to check the case status online using https://my.uscis.gov/? Please check and let us know what it says.

Yes it is now it’s probably going to be here after his card expires.... I would have to do a letter explaining why I filed late???

It is I’m just going to have to wait and see

Just to clarify. You never received a receipt number when you called USCIS, correct?

We both have the same received date 11/02. They charged my credit card on 12/04, and also they gave me the receipt number on 12/07. They said they mailed the I-797 on 12/04.

Even my application has blank spaces because I never used N/A. How come they did not reject my application, but gave me the receipt number? This does not make sense.

Just called USCIS today, the rep said wait time is expected to be 4-6 weeks right now.

Mine was sent 10/30, received by lockbox 11/2. No update yet (no check cashed, no notification, no NOA).

Mine was sent on 10/28 and received on 11/02. My credit card was charged on 11/04. I called USCIS today and they gave me the receipt number. They have mailed the NOA on 12/04 so it should arrive in mail any day now.

Don't worry, you will get an update within this week. You should call them again on Wednesday and then Friday. Good luck!

Can I still work while waiting on NOA1? My green card expires on Jan 3rd and I sent over I-751 documents in the middle of November. With all the process being delayed, I am not sure if I receive it in time. Not sure what I am going to tell my employer.

Don't think your current employer can ask for reverification of employment authorization. It should not be a problem for your current job. But you will need the I-797 NOA and your expired Green Card if you apply for a new job to verify that you are authorized to work. It is better to talk to your HR and have them confirm.

Reverification is never required for U.S. citizens or noncitizen nationals. Reverification is also never required when the following documents expire: U.S. passports, U.S. passport cards, Form I-551 (Alien Registration Receipt Cards/Permanent Resident Cards, which are also known as Green Cards), and List B documents.

    hey all ,

    we have 2 questions please:

-we saw that the money order was cashed like 2 weeks ago but till now we did not receive any letter or text or email. should we do something or wait?

-does the case get added automatically to our account on the website or we have to add it manually in order to see updates?

    - You can try calling USCIS to get the receipt number. Call 1-800-375-5283 and then when you get to the automated voice recording, say "schedule appointment", then "infopass". You should be redirected to a representative immediately. I tried that method a few times and it worked every time.

    - Yes, you have to manually add the receipt number to the online account track the case status

30 oct. So I called back after reading the auto response email about I751 inquiries not being answered. The call center agent informed me that the previous agent made a mistake and we were escalated to our case being assigned to an agent. The lockboxsupport email does not answer I751 questions.

So they confirmed that they have received your case and it is being processed right now? Which means you should get your receipt number early next week, right?

Called them this morning. They informed me that there is a big backlog on I-751s and that we still have no receipt number. She gave me the lockbox support email and told us what to put in the Email however, after we received the auto response it states that I751s inquiries won't be responded to. She did inform us that I wont get deported so Im a bit more at ease now.

Could you please tell us when was your application was received at the lockbox?

I finally got an update in regards to my case. No notification, No text. But i called USCIS and i got a receipt number over the phone. My case was received on the 30th October but i heard nothing since then. The Tier 1 officer told me my case has been updated December 1st and a receipt notice has been sent to me. To other October filers waiting for responses, try to give USCIS  a call because that Notification might never come even after filling form G1145.   Goodluck.

This is an update from October Filers' thread.

At least there's some action this week. I called USCIS today, but they still do not have my application. Hopefully it will be tomorrow or early next week.

We're slowly getting there, my friends. 🥳😄

That's interesting. Did you at least know the date when they cashed your check or charged your credit card before calling USCIS?

Hopefully you'll receive the NOA soon in mail. My received date is 11/02 and I need my NOA by 12/28 as it's going to be the first day of my new job. My GC expired on 11/26. 😣

Nothing yet. My received date is November 2nd. They have not even charged my credit card yet.

The last update I have seen is for received date 10/29. Hopefully there will be some action within this week.
