CC this evening. Supervisor Amanda came through! She called and personally reviewed our marriage certificate translation and said 'congrats, case closed'!

I just got off the phone with the nvc, they said the crazy backward translation the Dhaka embassy requested is on its way to the supervisors desk. Hopefully she will get it in the next couple days and maybe we might get a CC. They said that was the only thing holding it up.
I sure hope so because me and husband are about to lose it. Our 1st anniversary is coming up, thought he'd be here or at least interviewing by now

I just returned from visiting my husband to celebrate our first anniversary too, so I know how you feel! Don't worry though this is all coming to a close and it'll all be over soon.  It's not an infinite process and has to end at some point lol. Just a bit more to go! CC's are in sight for us both! 

So frustrating...I'm sorry. That sure was a quick denial. That's about the only thing they're fast at!

I'm so sorry and I know what you mean about this process testing a relationship! We're both stressed and tired of staring at each other across a computer screen. 
 
I would suggest, as Adreamer said, to continue calling and asking to speak with a supervisor since the link they sent you clearly states info about the Special Marriage Act. There's absolutely no reason for a checklist and I would push that point with the customer service reps every day if I had to. Call early in the morning! You'll get through quickly and I found the people during the day are more friendly than those at night lol. Just my experience. 

Aww noo... Since you are sure you sent in the right thing I would call every so often and see if u can be put through to a supervisor even though they said u were in "supervisor review" maybe you will get lucky and someone can review on the phone. Sorry I know how it feels to get set back .. ..can you update the spreadsheet so we can keep track of nvc's progress? Thanks! 
 
 

Hello! Just checking in. My scan date is 6/15/2017. I'm new to VJ and I'm so happy to have other people to keep me company on this long, nerve racking, but at the same time exciting journey. Good luck to all of us!

Thanks for the advice and thoughts. I really beat up on myself and feel like I'm in the wrong. He has a way of making me feel sorry for him because he left everything. But it was his choice. I don't want to sit here and bash him. I do love him and think he's a good guy.. But I'm finding that maybe he's not the guy for me. I just don't know how to tell him without him making me feel terrible or it blowing up. I feel that I have good intentions. I want both of us happy. And it does feel like I've got 2 kids. Constantly worried about if he'll be getting home drunk tonight, if he's lieing to me (he has a history of being dishonest), or if I have someone to be there for my son and I. If things don't get better then he will have to leave. He's 39 and I'm 29. I'm just tired of immature men that I've gotta take care of. Im done with all the partying and being wild and crazy. Maybe I just had a dream of what it would be like once he's here and that's not really happening. But I can only compromise my own happiness for so long I think. He's told me before that he's not going to change and that's fine. But he's also told me lies like how he wants a family and to be responsible. So which one is it? Based on his actions he would rather be irresponsible so hopefully I can have a mature conversation with him and we can figure things out. 

Personally, I would not spend time being miserable. I have been through that. I have kids and was divorced. But for a decade I tried, made excuses for him and tried to change myself, etc. 
Sometimes if you have fundamental differences, you have to know when to call it a day, so to speak. Just because he came here, doesn't mean you are responsible for putting up with bad behavior. As a nurse, I think we tend to enable and want to nurture. But many people will take advantage of your good nature. You have a tough job and are responsible for your child. I would find you well within your rights to tell him he gets 2 drunken nights in a month, and that's it. Plus he has to step up and be an equal in caring for your son, who cares if he doesn't have kids, you are part of a package with your dear son, and that is non negotiable. He isn't being a good role model either to your son.
Anyway, as the previous person said, it is your marriage and your life too. I wish you the best. But clear and firm expectations is a good start IMO.

Good news! Yesterday afternoon at around 4:00 pm the fee status changed to paid. I never spoke to a supervisor. I think they received enough calls that they realized it was an issue and fixed it. Now we are all ready to fill out the DS-260! 

wait for a couple of days for the AOS fee to unlock. After you pay it, it will take about 2-3 days for it to be processed. The IV fee should unlock about 1 week after the AOS fee. Good luck!

I called uscis 3 times and we got approved at the 176 day mark. So I don't believe it slowed us down:)

I'd like to ask you a question if you don't mind.
Will you guys file only 2016 tax transcript as NVC official guild says or 3 past years tax transcripts as others commonly do?
My husband's income met the poverty line only in 2016 but not in 2015 and 2014 so I was wondering if I should just sent 2016 tax transcript..

Read it in the news, USCIS will start issue new type of Green Cards starting May which applies to pretty much everyone here ...
