  1. Jahan - 5000, will barely get you a room of your own + basic food in Dubai.  That doesn't constitute ties to Dubai.  If you are comfortable with at least 35K per month, married, senior job, travelling often (low cost holidays like Georgia don't count) it would give you a real chance.

  2. Its much more than salary amount!  This amount is very low for Dubai - I lived there all my life so I know.  Applicants with 4 times that - about 20,000 get refused.  I think you are single - that doesn't help either.

So if your salary was at least 18-20K
    You are married with kids

    have property in Dubai

    or business in Dubai

travelled to at least 2-3 'Western countries' in past 5 years

It may work - still with all of above many get refused.

its a long way for you...

I am working late and too tired to explain - but it is what it is.  Your ties to Dubai are considered weak.

I have spent hours sitting in the embassy on 4 occasions and I observed closely.  Also, know lots of people and have done extensive research.

  3. Hi.  I am from Dubai.  The best option for your wife is to file in Dubai itself.  It won't take as long.  It won't be recognised in the Philippines though.  I am not sure if its enough for the embassy if she interviews in Abu dhabi.  My previous divorce was accepted, however my divorce was attested by the Indian embassy (although they didn't check that I think).  I know rules are slightly different for Phillipinos - it maybe though if she interviews in Abu Dhabi she doesn't need the Phillipino one....

Good luck and sorry about the night mare with Philipino divorces :(

I know most people in her situation get a renewal online when the apply.  She will probably not need any interview and just has to send her passport.  Don't worry so much.  If it gets denied, it does, but I know very recently similar situation the person did not even had to do an interview.

Three people actually - 2 were 60 plus and another was 45.

Please se just go online and try apply her visa.  You will likely get a waiver.

  5. I cannot believe you didn't bother getting their citizenship all these years!  Regardless of where they were studying I believe as a USC living in US father, married to their mother that would have been possible before they turned 18.

please immediately sort it out for the kids you still can.

Others on here should give you more direction or put up a new clearer post.

At least one parent lived in the U.S. or its territories prior to the birth.

One parent is a U.S. citizen at the time of birth and the birthdate is on or after November 14, 1986

The U.S. citizen parent had been physically present in the U.S. or its territories for a period of at least five years at some time in his or her life prior to the birth, of which at least two years were after his or her 14thbirthday.

If the U.S. citizen parent spent time abroad in any of the following three capacities, this can also be counted towards the physical presence requirement:

    • Serving honorably in the U.S. armed forces;
    • Employed with the U.S. government; or
    • Employed with certain international organizations.

Additionally, time spent abroad by the U.S. citizen parent while the U.S. citizen parent was the unmarried son or daughter and a member of the household of a person who meets any of the three conditions listed above can also be counted.

    Ok

You are living in the US, since 1990 and a US cirizen?  Your kids should be able to get their citizenship from you i would think.  Difficult to understand how you have a full family in Pakistan while living in the US.
