  1. Part B. Line 13 on I-129F asks for list of all children of alien fiance. Does this apply to adult children who will remain in their native country?

Yes. Your fiance(e) will be asked about any children accompanying at a later time.

Pushbrk....The OP has not indicated the children will follow, in fact OP says children will remain in native country -

To the OP - I listed my adult daughter on the form because it wasn't specific about the arrangements ( staying, going with parent or following at a later date). I listed her even though she had no intent to immigrate to the USA. Of course, it is always possible that sometime in the future your fiance children may wish to pursue immigration.

The answer to your question is yes, please list you fiance children even adult ones.

    Good Luck

  2. Maybe someone can shead some light for me. It has almost 5 months and I still haven't received my NOA2 yet in the mail. The date is coming quick for the adjunct according to my timeline but it seems that everyone is getting theirs so much faster than mine. I keep looking every day in the mail and hoping there is a letter in there and get disappointed when I open it up and find nothing. Maybe it is just me that I am getting so anxious to spend the rest of my life with my soul mate and longer to be with him. It was been over 2 months since I last saw him and we were waiting for the interview to come for the day he can live here permentally and we can get married. He was going to travel for the holidays but decided to save some money for our future and wait for the interview I really hope I get some news soon. I miss my love very much even though we talk everyday on msn and I see his face on webcam but our whole life depends on one little paper. So sorry for babbling just anxious I guess. :crying:

My wife lived with me "permentally" during the whole process, even though she was thosands of miles away.

Technology helps with the "thosands" of miles -

  3. Does anyone know if my co-sponsor can also have a pending K1 petition? We have both been approved within the last 30 day's. My consulate is Manila his is Guangzhou. On top of that he is my employer. Will this be OK?

    Thanks,

    Mike

It will not matter, provided that he has the assets to support his petition and your co-sponsorship.

Assets are not required. It can be income and/or assets used to qualify.

So to say assets are not required is not quite correct - assets MAY be needed in ADDITION to income dependant on wether the co sponspor earns enough income to support his own petition AND the OP's.

My understanding is that if the co sponspor has enough income to cover both petitions he need not show assets - if he does not have enough income he will need to show assets to make up the shortfall.

  4. absolutely with YuAndDan on that.... you will find most people are wary and worry about RFE's holds etc - it is a natural feeling but if you do get one then usually it can be resolved simply by sending them what they ask for.... in our case we had RFE for divorce certificates (though I KNOW we sent them in). Easy for me to say now that we completed the K1 visa process but my best advice is try not to worry too much.

  5. Personally not a big fan of Ryanair purely based on the attitude and rudeness of the staff, however if the case is that birds got sucked into engines whilst on aproach to the runway that surely has to be a problem with ground maitainance crew?

I was always under the impression that the airport had a duty to ensure birds were scared off ?... not a lot the pilot or cabin crew can do about birds on the runway I would think.

  6. He was willing to be a soldier - his uncle managed it quite nicely during the Falklands ...the issue was by highlighting where he was it wasnt just him that became an enhanced target - his men became targets as well.

If the press had stuck to the agreement... not to report it, chances are he would have been able to complete his tour - and I repeat the UK media didnt report it - FOREIGN media reported it.

  7. Unfortunately, the OP has already received this advice and has chosen not to follow it. Actually, he claims to have asked this question of attorneys in GUZ and at CFL and received advice to appeal. However, no such subject has been raised on CFL lately and the OP has failed to respond to multiple requests for the details contained on the white sheet.

As such, it would appear he is either a troll or complete idiot. In either case, he's beyond our help.

Hmm..... actually the OP did state in the thread you refer to that evidence presented was deemed to be under doubt - post number 11

Are you suggesting for the OP to "real" he has to post on CDL and VJ ? I appreciate your view may be that most people would but the fact that he appears to have kept the issue to VJ alone does not necessarily mean he is a troll or a complete idiot ?

OP I would suggest returning to the thread in the China forum and re-reading advice given by Haole as Haole seems to be able to connect with your issue - see post 12 on your thread in the China forum.

    Good Luck

  8. Remember Prince Harry having to return to UK because it was leaked he was serving in Afghanistan with his men (for SVVT remark about not being able to read articles in US newspapers, interestingly the British media actually kept this out of media - it was broken by foreign media) - Just one example of where national security is at risk.

Remember the outrage when pictures where printed of soldiers who appeared to be abusing prisoners ? It created a problem for all the authorities because they had not only to conduct investigations but field the press at the same time, meanwhile the images spread across the world - including the middle east, fuelling anger and possible retallation. It would have been much better for the investigations to have taken place first - and be reported when the full "story" had been told - at least them the authorities would have been able to show they had not only investigated the events but also punished as appropriate any who were found guilty.

  9. Would the British citizens actually put up with this?

They've already put up with closed circuit cameras all over the place, why not this?

It seems your ignoring the value of CCT when trying to solve crimes, it has proven to be very useful when being used to apprehend and convict criminals.

Many technologies can be useful in fighting crime. Many of those technologies also invade individual privacy in unacceptable ways, and CCT is one of those technologies.

You may find those people who have been victims of crimes and have had the benefit of cct footage not only identify the individual(s) but been able to present it in legal proceedings would offer a different opinion - for them the so called invasion of privacy was valid.

  10. hello Tommyboy and veepee,

Tommy ... the question about declaration of meeting in person appears on the I-129f question number 18 which is the one I think you are refering to? If this is correct I beleive it is the USC who is explaining how he/she met fiance(e) - when this question has come up in the past there is a variation in responses - some people filled that box with a few lines others have added a extra page to the form with a more detailed explaination - I am sure others will chip in with helpful hints on this.

The declaration of Intent to Marry has to be completed by both parties - and personally I used the example given here without any problems or queries, and to answer Veepee we did exactly the same ... simply inserting our details where appropraite.

You would need to send originals - this of course may cause a little delay whilst you get them but it is one less thing to worry about regarding potential RFE.

If I may suggest this link which is the guide to filling the form in and mentions how to attach extra information if required and the letter of intent to marry along with a lot of other information

    Good luck with your journey

  11. Actually you should make the check payable to U S Department of Homeland Security - as always the devil is in the detail. :)

    Good luck with your journey.

I'm sure it will be fine either way but from the I-129F instructions...

Pay by check or money order in the exact amount. Makethe check or money order payable to the Department of Homeland Security.

    So, bite me.

Lifted directly from the USCIS site - actually from the instructions for form I-129F expires 01/31/2010 : "Make the check or money order payable to U.S Department of Homeland Security" - they themselves have bolded that part to make it stand out.

    http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/I-129Finstr.pdf

Page 5 bottom right hand side under the title block " What is the filing fee" point 2

What is with the "bite me" remark? I am simply providing information as I understand it. I was under the impression you are a fierce advocat of attention to detail.

  12. My medical was some time ago and I recall i got a receipt for my payment and also a sheet with the details of the vaccinations etc ... so I wasnt in your position however is it possible you could contact the place the medical took place and ask if they have kept copies that they can send you ?

  13. I recall reading a book written by a Somali born Dutch parliamentarian Ayaan Hirsi Ali.... The book I read was called "The Caged Virgin" and I would recommend it as a must read - this lady recounts her experience's and how she ran away from Somalia to avoid a forced marriage amongst other things. She explains many of the beliefs that are held - such as men stating they could not get SDT's due to the fact they are muslim men - It is a very enlightening book especially from view point of a woman being subjected to these beliefs. A very brave lady.

  14. Sorry, but I am getting confused... I am a u.s. born citizen but this year will have spent in total over 6 months out of the u.s. in other countries. Is that a problem? I have already sent off a k1 for my fiancee in Vietnam but am considering going to stay in Vietnam until her interview. Obviously if this will negate my status as a U.S. citizen, I won't do this. Thanks

    Jonas

No problem. Born in the USA citizens can never "lose" their US Citizenship.

    LPR status can be lost.

Unless they take specific action to renounce it....

Which was the point of emphasising the word "lose".

The OP didnt say "lose" they said negate, not the same thing.

Synonyms of negate can be counteract, neutralize, nullify, abrogate, annihilate, annul, cancel, invalidate, set aside, vitiate, void, contradict

  15. Mikelovesgracie - part of the OP's post is as below

"So, my wonderfully helpful VJers, any thoughts on if an expedite is possible, how to best organize the paperwork, how to best stay on top of/help out my congressman in an expedition request, etc., would be great. Also, is there any danger in requesting again? Will the people at VSC see my name again, find me annoying and through my case to the bottom of the pile?!?!?!

    "

I read that he is asking for advice - sometimes the truth is something we dont want to hear however it doesnt make the information any the less valid. I am sure the OP would rather hear that yes being pregnant is a reason to expedite and the living conditions are also valid reasons but the truth is that it is unlikely to affect his petition. This forum is excellent because usually the information and advice is spot on - people have offered possible options for him to consider such as finding alternative accommodation and to understand everyone has sympathy as others are in similar situations .....didnt see any judgemental behaviour but i did see a lot of people explaining they too are in the same boat which is oftens viewed as supportive behaviour.

Would you rather the posters offered false hope and then for the OP to find himself unable to trust advice and support from this forum ?

  16. Wildlife Fish and Game are excellent at what they do... darting a bear in darkness is asking for trouble. The bear would not necesarily be guaranteed to be put down immediately and possible escape into darkness causing all kinds of issues.

I do beleive people who live in bear areas should be responsible about ensuring they dont make their home attractive to wild animals - bears have excellent sense of smell.

  17. hey SKParker and welcome....

I had visited my now husband over a period of 4 years before we submitted the paperwork, and had kept the e-tickets, had copies of passport stamps and a couple of pictures of us to together over that period - so I think you have as much as you need to prove the intial requirement to have met within 2 years.

I saved cards, telephone bills, letters, etc for the interview stage - so I think you are fine. I turned up to the embassy with a large file of evidence.

Good luck with your journey -
