  1. Well....i am hoping to visit my fiance in US but i am concerned at the likelihood of problems.

I will be going for just over a week, and plan to have return air ticket- return train tickets and a letter from my employer to confirm my expected return date, wondered if anyone has experienced problems?

My passport has stamps for the 4 previous visits i have made over the past few years to show that i have never overstayed - any ideas thoughts or experiences ?

  2. Not sure if anyone can help ....having worked most of my life i have of course contributed to the standard government pension ( also have been fortunate to have for past 8 years also paying into work related pension as well) ...so..i wondered what happens when i reach the age of retirement if i am in USA - will my contributions still count? I am presuming my company will deal with the private company pension themselves - all info greatly appreciated :D

  3. I understand you need a police certificate if you have lived in foreign countries - i have lived in 2 foreign countries but as a dependant of a memeber of HM Forces - would i need to get police certificate in these circumstances as any misdeamour would surely be already on your UK police certificate ?

  4. This is interesting topic....my us fiance is paid commssion and he beleives he exceeds the poverty level required for k1....however as with most of these types of jobs some months are better than others - however i do have some savings - this is a straight forward savings which can be access very quickly - if his income does not suffice will i be able to use mine savings to make up the difference ?

    Thanks

  5. I somehow managed to post this on the wrong board, this is better now.

    Hello All....

Just a query - probably best answered by those who have experienced the process - I am just wondering when the best time would be to request Police certificate in view of the potential delay in receiving it from asking...would it be prudent to send for it once NOA2 has been received? - as always looking to try and anticipate anything that may hold the application up....

    Thanking you all

  7. Well...I understand the Nebraska centre will not be doing K1 visas...so where will the application end up?

Anyone know if ALL Nebraska petitions are going to a particular service centre - and do we know where?

Grateful for any input ...and...to all my fellow VJers.....as they say "keep your chin up! " ...

  8. Well i checked the processing times and am shocked to see the huge leap the dates took (refering to Nebraska).....last time i checked they showed to dealing 20th Feb ...now they say 29th May! ....Can this really be true??? and what happened?...i probably missed something but i am puzzled by the missing 2 months in between!!...LOL

Thanks in advance to anyone who shed a little light on this :)

  9. Well honestly, I recommend you be as detailed as possible. In this particular area, too much information isn't a bad thing unless you don't have any evidence to support it. So what you do have, pictures passport stamps boarding pases, etc. of the times you met in person, write about that.

Thanks Zethris for replying ...sadly we are one of those couples who has pictures but because we are together either he was taking pic of me or me taking pic of him - it has only dawned on us as we decided we wanted to make the giant leap from g/f b/f to fiance that we didnt have anything in way of pic!! my last visit was in May and we made effort to get pics this time ( together and with family members) - current evidence i have covers my last two visit - boarding passes - train tickets -those lovely little tickets they give you when you leave the country - phone bill for the last 7 months - and passport stamps - receipt for engagment ring ( of course i do have passport stamps for 2003 onwards but on their own i dont suppose they amount to evidence?)....any guidance ot thoughts gratefully received :):)

Thanks Lina - was posting to Zethris as you posted your reply - :D

  11. New to this - and sorry if this seems like a basic question but i am keen to get it right first time ..so i would rather look like a plank and ask than get it wrong just for the want of taking advice. Me and my fiance have know each other and been visiting each other since 2003 - however when question 18 comes along should he simply stick to the last two years or actually state we met in 2003 - and should we be furnishing them with actual mm/yyyy for the past two years only?

Grateful for any advice regarding this aspect of the I-129F as the rest is straight forward but i am concerned about what they actually want to see in this question

    Thanks!! :help:
