ScotchHans got a reaction from Fox087 in I-485 & I-765
After your fingerprint appointment, it can take a few weeks before your status changes. Its a case to case basis so it would be better if you stop comparing timelines and just be patient. Calling the USCIS is no need, it will only be needed if you have lapsed the 75-90 days of wait without a response or update (I am not really sure about the number of days). You will only get an update if your EAD/AP is gonna be approved or if you are gonna be scheduled for an interview. Again, just be patient.
Good luck

Each case after the interview will normally go to administrative processing, it is not really a thing you need to worry about. Yes, it is a good thing he kept your passport. The length of the case being under AP will depend, sometimes it is shorter, other times it will take longer. Just be patient and keep a positive thinking about your processing. If you say that the CO was convinced by your answers then it might just be a short AP before it changes to Issued.
Good luck and Happy Holidays!

If you file the Travel and Work Authorization with the I-485 AOS, then you will not have to pay for those two as it will be waived. You will only need to pay the amount for the I-485 AOS FEE.

You can check this link -- http://www.path2usa.com/countries-that-offer-a-visa-waiver-for-us-green-card-holders -- it says which countries you can visit while having a green card. Not until she becomes a US Citizen and has the American passport can she start travelling the same places a USC can go to.

ScotchHans got a reaction from MrsAwakened in K1 Interview tips
My fiance and I only met once, we have quite a few photos but I really did take time to screen shot our FaceTime moments. The CO still insisted that the pile of evidences should be thicker than it was, so what I did is I explained how our hours with each other is spent and how much time we take every day to actually text and FT one another. We had a long discussion about it and after not changing my story, and standing with the truth I have. He just changed the topic and we talked about how me and my husband share the love for Game of Thrones, which is the same with the CO. So we talked a lil bit about it too.
The thing is, JUST BE CALM AND TELL THE TRUTH ALWAYS. It will always depend on the CO that you will have, some is strict and some are really not that strict. You just have to be confident enough to answer all the questions. Always smile.
Good luck.

Yes. But it will only be effective until your I-94 expires, if you have already sent out the AOS papers and you have the NOA1 you can always bring it to DMV so that they will know your processing your green card and won't put the I-94 date on the expiration.
Good luck

True, just wait till you get your green card though. They won't change it if you just have your marriage cert.
