Now I m really confused that NVC doing work or not..? 🤔🤔🤔
October 31, 2018 USCIS has sent our case to the state department for consular processing
still no word from the NVC about case number or anything.
Yesterday my husband called to NVC, they told that they received case on November 6th and it took 6 to 8 week.Any news from NVC?
Our case was sent to the state department October 30. Has sent them several requests but they replied they've "recently" received our visa petition. It's been 6 weeks now...

For CR1 I know for sure the beneficiary don’t have to sign anything. The petitioner can submit everything to the NVC, but of course that would require the beneficiary to send his/her mirage certificate, birth certificate, visa size photos, and in some instances the police clearance to the petitioner as it will be needed. By the way, I submitted all my documents about a week ago November 19, 2018. I did have someone that prepared my package with the documents, he knows what he’s doing since he had done it many times before for others with success. And the attorney might be telling your husband about the DS-260 form which the petitioner can complete online for the beneficiary and when the beneficiary goes for the interview then the officer make them sign electronically by finger print. In most cases the petitioner will complete that form on the beneficiary behalf since the beneficiary might lack access to a computer or Internet which is absolutely fine. Hope this help answer your question of concern a little.
Thank you for the respond!
I think I should ask attorney.
DS-260 form requires E-signature, Affidavit of support requires only sponsor's signature

Guys, question to those who is at NVC stage and submitting documents.
Is there any form required my "live" signature as beneficiary?
Attorney said (from my husband's words) I'll need to sign some papers and then send it to NVC.
Just wonder what it can be.

I was denied K1 in 2016 (Moscow).
K1 petition was returned to USCIS and after 4 months we got mail that the petition expired.
We got married in 2017, in Feb 2018 filed for CR1 with attorney and now we are at NVC stage.
Get married, make several trips together and file for CR1.
It is a tough process, but supporting each other and meetings make it easier. Good luck

Has anyone used e-Request for cases outside normal processing times on USCIS website?
https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt
About to send request, just wonder if they even reply and how long it takes to get respond

Hello guys.
I finally just got some great news.
I received an email from NVC stating Invoice Number and Case Number.
I didn't know until now that we were even approved. Online it still says "case was received".
I'm so relieved right now!!!
Everybody else who's still waiting, hang in there, you'll be up next!

Thank you for your response. My question is why are people who filed in March getting approved before us? That isn't right if they are really processing them in the order they are received. Hopefully we will get approved soon. This wait has been way to long.
I think it depends not only on Service Center but also on the officer who is reviewing cases.
Some ppl are simply slower than others...

I've heard that it should be 2 years anniversary or more on the day of interview to get IR-1..
So I can have interview and the CO will give me CR-1 but if I wait and travel after 2 years of our marriage i will get IR-1 automatically?

thank you for the replies!

Hello
My husband is the petitioner. The company he’s working at was purchased by another company and now the employees are waiting for the contracts to be signed.
So we don’t know if my husband will have a job or not.
We wanted to file I-130 petition but after he spoke with the attorney she advised us to wait till they sign contract with him so we can be sure it won’t cause any problems approving our petition.
I think we can file now and even he won’t have a job at this company he will have time (around 8-10 months) to find a new one and we can provide financial documents by the time of the interview . Also if I’m not mistaken we can postpone the approved petition at the stage of NVC as it has no expiration day. Am I right?
I think now we are just waisting time, waiting for the news from his work and if there's no contract will have to wait till he find a new job.

Hi guys!
Our case was sent back to NVC after the interview for K1. Since 22 December 2016 it's in USCIS for review.
We got married last week and going to apply for CR1 in a month or 2.
Question: do we need to cancel / withdraw our previous petition?

Congratulations!
Received Invoice and Case number today (26th December) too!
