  1. Exactly! I brought so much during my husband's interview and some weren't even looked at nor requested but it's better to have them just in case! It'll be easier in the end! Good luck and God bless!:)

  2. The brown envelope is not to be opened. There will be words to that effect printed in bold on it.

You have to open the envelope that had the passport in it because he needs to present the passport at the airport check in desk to get on the plane.

Did you open the brown envelope? If you did, you need to contact the embassy asap to have it re-sealed.

I opened the plastic carrying the envelope. I opened about 1/3 of the plastic but not the envelope, I just opened enough to get the passport but not the brown envelope. Is that okay?

  3. We had our interview today and I just want to clarify some things. I am a USC with 2 kids who were previously on the IR2 category, but during the interview the pre-screener changed their status to CR2, is there any reason for the change? What is the difference between the IR2 and CR2? She then asked the I-864W for both kids, so is it safe to assume that they will both be USC upon entry? After the interview I checked the status on CEAC and it says ISSUED, does it mean that their petitions are approved? My husband was just given the violence pamphlet and we were asked to register our mailing address on ustraveldocs, but we weren't asked to go to another window, does it mean that everything's okay? I'm just being extra anxious! Thank you everyone for the time!

  4. I think the vaccines are already included in the medical fee? The only vaccines I could remember were the BGC (if he doesn't have a mark to show), Flu, Influenza, Varicella, Mumps?

  5. This forum has been of great help to me and I just want to thank those who take time to reply to my posts. Okay, I just want some clarifications on this question. With regards to the assets, should I still write them even though they won't be enough? We're a family of 4 with assets just a little over $60k, this won't be enough which is why my sister in California agreed to be our sponsor. Do I still need to write our savings and stocks even if they won't be enough to cover?

Also.. if some of our accounts are joint, do I divide them in half for my husband's I-864? How about for our kids?

Thank you everyone for the patience!

  6. Hi everyone! I am finalizing the I-864 and I just stumbled upon some questions:

Is this the income tax transcript that they're requesting for or is this different from the Income Tax Transcript? Is this copy okay to bring with me on the day of the interview? Or should I have the one requested from the IRS?

Also, which income should I put? Is it the 56,188 or 58,291? (see picture below)

Thank you everyone for the patience!
