Hi everyone! I will be filing the i-130 for my husband and kids. I am going to use my maiden name in the form since all my documents and evidence are in my maiden name. I was just worried that this would be a problem with the embassy? Given that my kids and husband all have the same last name except me?

Hi everyone! I arrived in Manila last Oct 2014 after a 2 week vacation in Chicago, then last Nov 2015, I went to HK for a week with my kids, my question is, can I file for DCF this March? or do I have to wait for April which is the 6th month after my HK trip?

Cover letter won't be necessary. We filed on the 18th and they didn't ask for it
Hi Ma'am! I have a question, were your application forms handwritten? Or did you answer them computerized?

Hi guys! I'll be petitioning my husband and kids next month and I'm already making a checklist of things I need to present in the filing. Please let me know if there's something missing.
1. I-130 Cover Letter
2. Form I-130
3. Birth Certificate
4. Marriage Certificate
5. Copy of passport
6. G325-A (For me and my husband and kids)
7. Passport photo style for me, kids and husband
8. Pictures and other proof of relationship
I feel like there's still something missing? Can anyone share what they passed? Also, does anyone have a sample cover letter for DCF in manila?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

- For the most part, it should be okay. She'll need to list the income from her last 3 year tax returns but, if she doesn't have for all 3 years then she'll need to provide a letter stating why (student, no income etc.).
- Being an LPR is no problem. The CO may be a little iffy on the fact that she's only worked one year but, provide a lot of financial evidence such as recent pay stubs and a letter from an employer.
- You don't need to list the relationship since it's not necessary that the joint sponsor be related to the person they are sponsoring. They just need to be a legal resident, over the age of 18 and living in the US.
thank you so much for your reply! It has definitely cleared out my questions!!

additional question:
even if my bestfriend meets the requirement can i get my cousin as a 2nd joint sponsor(she makes around 60k also but she's been working for 20 years now)? just to better support my i-864?

I am petitioning my son and my husband and I have no income so my best friend agreed to be a sponsor, she has only been working for a year and she's only 23. She has a green card. She makes 60k a year. My question is:
Can she be a cosponsor even if she's only been employed for a year and is only an LPR?
What will she put in the relationship to sponsored immigrant? Can she put godmother to my son? how about to my husband? would it be alright to put in friend? Or would that discourage the consular officers given the relationship?
Thank you very much!

Hi! may I ask what the CENOMAR is for? If you're married then you won't have one right?
