They received the additional evidence 5 days ago and now the status switched to ‘new card is being produced’

So I sent my response to the RFE from SRC (they said my petition was filed late, while it wasn’t). The response is just on its way, definitely has not made it to Texas yet.
 
BUT! This morning I got a notification “New Card Is Being Produced”! What???!!! 
 
I wonder if the USCIS contact center officer who I spoke to on the phone somehow helped the case? I don’t know, and I just hope this is not a mistake

having a lawyer wouldn't change anything. Just follow the instructions they sent you. They basically want updated evidence, which happens. So, all you have to do is send all the evidence you accumulated after 2018. 
 
I am not sure why you feel discouraged? You should be happy as now you know they are looking at your case, and if you send them what they asked for, they will approve you probably within 90 days without an interview

Hey! I have been one of the quiet observers here, but since there's not a lot of info from SRC, wanted to let other people know I got an update last night that my new card is being produced! 
 
My receipt # SRC199009****
My timeline just in case anyone finds it useful:
11-23-2018 - I-751 package sent
01-21-2019 - NOA1 
11-08-2019 - Fingerprints taken
02-04-2020 - New card is being produced

Yes yes that definitely a really good idea, being proactive with more evidences. Just specify that in your letter so they get on board with you on the same page. 
Definitely no lawyer needed for this inconvenience. Please keep us updated and I wish you the best outcome.

I called USCIS contact center today and they confirmed that I filed on time. They also said to explain this in my response to the RFE (as well as send copies of the GC and extension letter).
 
I think that in addition to the evidence of timely filing, I’ll also add copies of newer evidence of our relationship and hope to avoid getting one more RFE...

For the lawyer part, I think you should save your money for now and do a first attempt yourself by simply explaining your case "to whom it may concern" by highlighting the differentes dates and explaining the mistake on their part.
You definitely don't need a lawyer for that. You just need to demonstrate that a mistake was done and you did everything right. 
If you filed late like they said, they would not have issued you an extension at first place, but a notice of late filing since November 2018.

Yes, you should definitely send that information and probably a letter explaining to them that you did actually submit your application on time.  I am not sure if for your case it is worth it or not to hire a lawyer. It is up to you, probably not necessary. In our case, we are doing so because they are not acknowledging all the evidence that we already sent (bills, affidavits, house deed, retirement plan, etc.), and they wanted us to send documents that back then did not exist...You cannot have bank statements or tax returns for future years...We will send to them whatever our lawyer tells us to since they just state to submit additional evidence.
 
I totally understand your stress...We feel the same way. We work and have other responsibilities just like you all do...

Wow, that is really strange... According to the USCIS website it states: “
NOTE: You must file your petition during the 90-day period immediately before your conditional residence expires if you are filing Form I-751 jointly with your U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident spouse.”  It seems like you did submit your application on time. We are also waiting for an RFE, according to the USPS app, it’s going to arrive today...
 
Did you submit your application with a lawyer? I would make copies of your GC, your NOA, the information available online, you may also find the “Period for filing petition”  online under “Title 8, chapter 12, subchapter II, Part II/ 1186 a” .
 
Explain in a letter that you filed during the 90-day period before the second anniversary of the alien’s obtaining the status of lawful adminission to PR. If you can afford it and you want,  maybe you can have a lawyer go over all these documents before you send your evidence back to them. Maybe you can contact USCIS over the phone next week as well to explain to them that it is an error, and you filed on time. Has anyone been in this situation before? 
 
I am really sorry. Hopefully, our RFE arrives soon...

TEXAS SERVICE CENTER!!!!!!  Green card has been produced!!!!!

Heads up everyone, here is a good news for Texas filers with receipt # SRC, today , I got an email stating a new card is being produced. Today makes it 14months and 25days since I filed my I-751. Now, the next thing is to file N-400. I wish all guys still waiting the very best. Just hang on and be patient, your time will surely come. My timeline I filed in October 2018, was told in December 2018 that my biometrics will be reused, I didn’t get my extension letter until March 2019, in October I got a letter to go and redo the biometrics, which I did on October 30th 2019, on December 13th,2019 my case was updated to show fingerprints were taken and today January 13th, 2020, new card is being produced. Thank you all for the support all through the long waiting, I pray each and everyone of you guys too have the course to smile. God did it... Hallelujah!!!

Hello everyone. I've been a silent reader on the forum. I'm an October 2018 filer SRC. Got biometrics done on November and yesterday I got a text. Card is in production! Next step is N400.

So We are still Waiting. It is X-mas and we hoped the 10 y card will be here. But it is not. And that is ok....:-)

Bio done July `19,
Update on old tracker "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" last week,
New account or USCIS account still showing " BIO review completed in July `19 " 
 
We have been checking some numbers around ours and almost everyone has been approved or RFE was issued. With us: nothing. We don`t even get the email or txt updates from USCIS anymore. 
I cant think about what went wrong. If we should have filed differently. More documents or something else. But we have used the Lawyer to overlook our packet and he said everything was perfect.
Only one thing maybe : I am not big on Social media ( FB )..... my wife is.... and I have read that USCIS is checking social media very often to see if the couple is legit. But it may be a rumor. I have hear that they are also accessing the GPS locations for couples cell phones to see if cell phones are in the same location every night. But who knows?
We have nothing to worry about. We are happy and healthy!
Lets wait. Lets get ready for N 400.

card being produced 3 days before 1 yr. had to manually request extension letter and biometrics but card went from case received --> card being produced in one go. SRC center

same, mine didn't change either and only 5/10 fingers or mine registered , but I am sure it will be ok since they did take our picture which I am sure our pics will be on record from the 2 year green card and stuff, if my status changes ill let you know and I hope you do the same if yours does
