  1. Our case was sent from the NVC on Aug 25. We are still waiting for our P3. When I call to inquire at the DOS, they use terms that I am unclear on. I have talked to other people that have gotten the same information, so I was hoping that someone knows what the terms means. Does anyone know what "loaded" and "open" status means after a case leaves the NVC???

    Thanks in advance!

LOADED = NVC has sent an electronic copy of the petition to GUZ, but hardcopy petition information has NOT been entered by GUZ.

OPEN = This does not occur until AFTER GUZ signs by STAMP for the DHL package sent by the NVC. Within days to a few weeks after that, GUZ will enter information into the computer and the case is then considered to be "Open." The P3 is then mailed.

  2. I just called the USCIS again and talked to a supervisor. He said that unless they changed something and didn't tell him (IMBRA anyone?) that ALL K-1's still go through the NVC. He had no explanation for the wording on my NOA2, he had no explanation for what the NVC told me and he could not explain why the first level support at the USCIS told me what they did. I think I going to be sick. :dead: After 6 months of waiting for my NOA2 and a month so far waiting for the NVC to get my case, now this!!!!

Gary, I am willing to bet that the just imputed the wording incorrect on your NOA2. They approved so many petitions that week/and day, just mixed up the key stroke. NVC just reveived mine today and assigned the case number to us. Call them again tonight, and see, also call tomorrow too (NVC). Don't tell them about the wording when you call, as it will confuse them for sure. I think you will get good news in the next 24 hours.

  3. Is there any number other than the national line that I can call?

I notice some of you have spoken with adjuncting officers at the Service Centers. What is the number I can call at CSC?

I am just going to find another girlfriend, here in Chicago. :crying:

As in you want to call the USCIS and cancel your petition and what/how to do?

  4. Go ahead and call, but I would also send that RFE filled out and back to them. You have a hit somewhere linked to the RFE on your case, even though it is a mistake to get it now. Follow through, fill it out, and send it back. Complete the paper trail, don't leave anything open. It is stupid yes, but don't give USCIS or NVC, or anyone else a reason to hold you up down the road for their error.

  5. Just got off the phone with the NVC operator. She was in a very good mood today and open. While our case has not been entered into the system yet, I asked further. She said they (NVC had just received a huge transfer from the California Service Center today (Monday), and were working on assigning case numbers and entering them into their computer system today. She said to call back tomorow and check, not the standard wait 2-4 weeks.

Lets all hope for the best on this news.

  6. Here is combined data from VJ and a Chinese site,

    http://001family.001.bank.cn/timeline/interviews.asp

I combined them into one spreadsheet. While 4 1/2 months is possible, 6 months seems more likely. And with the longer delay (CSC to NVC) and the upcoming holidays, I fear it could stretch out a bit.

Nice work. Did you notice that the latest P2-interview is June 2, 2006? We have no new information to go on for now. But it nice to see a P2-Interview in just over 4 months,(All K1 I was looking at only), probably because they had no other K1's since the IMBRA stoppage and cranked out the interviews as fast as they could.

  7. Thank you both. :) For the people who really do care and look and hunt for answers, I for one do appreciate both of your efforts.

Maybe we can start a China Club, as we will all be waiting till after Christmas at the very least (probably closer to Valentines Day) for the Guangzhou express.
