  1. HELLO EVERYBODY I ORIGINALY SENT MY PETITION TO NEBRSAKA SO ANYWAY.....I SENT MY RFE ITS BEEN LIKE 3 DAY NOW AND TODAY I GOT TOUCHED. I KNOW ITS NOT BIG DEAL LOL BUT AM HAPPY....PEOPEL SENT THERE PETITION IN MAY IN VERMONT ALREADY GOT THERE NO2 SO NO LOGICAL PROCCESSING...THEY EVEN GOT IT BEFORE THOSE WHO SENT IT IN MARS THAT CRZAY BUT ANYWAY THEY WORKING ON DEM .... :D:D(F)(F)

Maybe they do some kind of batch processing to send these email messages. I am not trying to be negative, but I really find it hard to believe that any government office would be functioning on July 4.

I just checked, and I got touched today too. I bet it is just a computer program that touches you whenever they update the email system.

  2. dwarf,

Correct. But many people don't realize this because only the VSC puts the A# on the Receipt Notice. (And I've seen some reports from VSC people that their Receipt Notice did not show their A#.) Some people get all the way to the AOS application without knowing what their A# is, or even that they have one.

    Yodrak

All centers assign an A#. ...

    As a side note:

On our original NOA1 from NSC, my fiance did receive her A#.

  3. Just got two e-mails from USCIS and came to check my case status. I've got a touch from CSC and the status has changed to show that they have recieved it.

"On June 14, 2006, your I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E) was received here for processing. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates"

Though I am curious if this is a sort of "new" NOA1... which would, from the looks of it, unfortunately mean we're all back at the bottom of the pile.

Let's hope California speeds up a bit at least.

I just got the exact same thing.

  4. hello

plz i have 2 questions that may seem wierd to you but pls just want explination....does the new york state has enything with the uscis or vsc....i mena if the petion goes throught new york state or no ???? and i did hear that some case had been transefered to vermont? plz help me

New York state itself does not accept I-129F petitions for K1 visa petitions.

Now if you live in the state of New York, then as of today June 12, 2006, you still do send your I-129F K1 petition to VSC.

As of today June 12, 2006, VSC has not transferred any petitions to NSC or CSC that we have heard of, unless it was in error. Only the NSC petitions have been transferred to CSC so far, along with TSC as usual.

VSC has been sent back petitions that had previously been approved by them (VSC)(NOA2).

  5. AH!!!

I got a hold after waiting half an hour with a USCIS operator, they said the I129F Fiance visas are supposed to go straight to the embassy and the letter i got from them was wrong. I told her she must be mistaken, but then she told me she had been working there for 3 years and that was standard procedure. Now I don't know what to think, but it does remind me of people saying they were surprised that their application was suddenly received at their embassy. I'll just call Guangzhou tomorrow, or later tonight and find out what the hell. Maybe all this worrying should have been directed in china's general direction and not at the incompetency of US government workers.

You won't be able to call Guanghzou direct. All of the calls are out-sourced to a call company in Shanghi. It is a pay per call feature, and it is paid ahead of time (by you or the fiance, cash, credit card). They do have an English option, but good luck getting an English operator. Also, because you do not have your GUZ# assigned by NVC yet, they will not be able to tell you anything (just use up your money for the call). (Just saving you some time and money here).

You can try email (it's free, but much slower), just make sure it is from your same email you included on your I-129F. Again, you will need to supply your GUZ# assigned by NVC for the email (but you can try without??).

Forget the time lines you see here as a whole, they do not compare to the wait you will have with Guanghzou. If you want to get a more true picture of your time frame, look only at Guanghzou time lines (NVC-P3-P4-interview).

But then again, there is a lull now with the K1's, so Guanghzou is cleaning house lately with the back log of everything else.

  6. After filing and expecting the NOA2 by the end of June, I was delighted to get another I-797C in the mail this morning....until I opened it. They have transfered my case to California, even though I live in Wisconsin and the official USCIS site STILL says I should send the I-129F to Nebraska....which is what I did.

This link shows there have been changes to where applications are supposed to be mailed

    USCIS.GOV FORMS AND FEES

    And it states

"NOTE: Effective 4/01/06, the filing addresses for Forms I-129, I-140, I-485, I-539, I-765, and I-907 will change. Address information will be available from each document’s Forms Entry Page, linked below. "

But when I follow the link to the I-129F form USCIS.GOV I-129F FORM....it states clearly on the form that if you live in Wisconsin it gets mailed to Nebraska!!!!!

So they've had the case since early April and they couldn't have sent this through a little faster??? I know they have a lot of cases and files to review but really!!! That's 2 months wasted time for the file to be sitting on someone's desk only to be transferred to another office.

I just had to complain somewhere, because I know it won't help to contact them and complain. It may only get the file sent back to Nebraska to start all over again.....AGAIN!!!

It is a common mistake to read this link and information fast. Remember that there is a difference between the I-129 & I-129F in regards to what the forms are used to petition for.

You did mail yours correctly to the correct address.

  7. ok are they doing this for ALL petitions for k-1 that were filed in nebraska§§§ i never got any notice that my petition was moved

is there anyway on the uscis.gov site that will tell me where my petition is currently§§ i cant call because im in algeria help

Use this link and enter your LIN number. You will be able to see your petition and what it says about any updates or moves.

    https://egov.immigration.gov/cris/caseStatusSearchDisplay.do

  8. we got the letter from NVC dated May 30th that the office recvd our approved k-1 petition. they would send it to tokyo within a week. i put my case# in the NVC automated voice service and it was recognised. i talked to the operator. she case is already sent to Tokyo on June 1st

Now that is how it is supposed to happen! :)
