  1. My daughter’s case (IR2) has been documentarily qualified Sept. 2020 . We have been waiting for her Interview Date up to this day . We once sent an email at NVC to ask why it’s taking this long for her interview date to come out and the answer was they will let us know when the embassy has open slot for her! By the way , her embassy is Manila.   Is there anybody here who had this problem before ? What did you do ? To expedite is not an option for us since we have no  reason  to resort to this route. Any suggestion on how can we make her case move   to the embassy from NVC? Her case has already been outside the normal process. It’s now 10 months since DQ.

  2. Tell me about it! Been there done that! I still not totally done coz my derivative who’s my daughter (IR2) is still not through. She has been waiting for her interview date for 9 mo the now. She has been DQed Sept 2020 and yet no IL in sight up to now. We tried calling but same answer they do not know when will there be available slot. It was slow pre covid and now it’s a nightmare coz the backlog is unprecedented especially in countries with high immigrations like Philippines. Nevertheless,we are hoping that she will get her interview date this year and she will be able to join us soon. Good luck to you. The best virtue you can have right now is Patience. I did that for 24 months☺️👍🏻

  3. Hi . Yes you are right. It is complicated. What I did was, I uploaded the paper that the Police has given me which basically a receipt that you have applied for a Police clearance and that it is being sent directly to the US Embassy in 7 days. But then it took awhile for me to get an interview after I was DQed, so what I did was I went to get another police clearance 3 weeks before my interview just not to have some loose ends that will delay the issuance of my visa. It all went well. I got my visa right after the interview. It was issued right away but I only got my passport back 5 days after.

  4. Hi guys. My daughter and I were petitioned by my USC husband March 2019. We got approved after 13 months (Nebraska then transferred to Vermont) . We were DQed at different dates due to some documents that were uploaded wrong. Note that we are not in the same embassy as I am in Israel and my daughter lives in the Philippines. I got documentarily qualified Nov 4 2020 and my interview date is this month of March. My concern is my daughter has been DQed Sept 2020 and she is still waiting for interview date in MAnila. It’s taking really long to get an appointment in Manila.she’s been DQed almost 6 months now and we haven’t heard from NVC yet. Hopefully she’ll get through very soon and finish up the process so we can be together in the US . My daughter is now 22. She was 19 yrs old when my husband filed our petition.(  By the way my daughter is the step daughter of my petitioner husband.)She has graduated in college  in 2019 and got a job  right away but unfortunately lost it due to the pandemic so now we are supporting her since she is unemployed . I would love to be with my daughter ASAP but as I have been reading from other sources that back logged  in Manila is voluminous  and that the priorities are those pre covid and expedited cases. Any experience of IR 2 in Manila please ? How long did it take you for the whole process pre covid and during covid?

Just  write a statement explaining the reason and everything should be okay, I got DQ without it.

I also have this kind of a problem I can’t obtain a police certificate at this time and I am stuck in NVC for 2 months already. Can I just write them and explain that I will just bring my police clearance in the interview because right now it is a bit difficult to obtain since I am

not residing in my birth country ?
By the way,  how did you send them your explanation, if I may ask? Thanks

  6. Me too. Our case is stuck in NVC because of this police clearance that I have to obtain from my country of birth . Since I already a naturalized citizenship of my country of residency , I have a difficulty obtaining the police clearance from my birth country . I went to the embassy to ask for help and they said I need to go home and file myself . The problem now is there is no flight!!! My country of residence   has close the sky because of the pandemic. Hopefully I can solve this problem soon so my case will be reviewed by NVC and eventually get dq. It’s been more 2 months now since I got the welcome letter of NVC

  7. Hi everyone. Is there anyone here from Israel who filed for police clearance ? NVC is asking me for a police clearance which needs to be uploaded to my civil documents before they can review our case. But according to my readings, police clearance obtained in Israel are directly sent to the US embassy in Jerusalem. If I may ask for those who have personal experience and knowledge about this, what did you do ? We’re you be able to provide the NVC a copy for your Police clearance and how did you do it? Thank you

Hi, we were in this situation due to a tax issue on my husbands side. It usually expires after 12 months of inactivity. Can you contact the NVC either by email or phone? I called them to ensure it wouldn't expire. It took us 14 months to get everything together so I feel your pain!

Thanks for the response. It may take awhile for me too since I need to get a police clearance from my birth country  and I am not residing there for almost 20 yrs now.

  9. Hi everyone . We are still in the NVC process and our submission of documents are really on hold since I can’t obtain police clearance from the Philippines as of this time due to the pandemic. I am living abroad and to even get an appointment at the Phil embassy is impossible. My question is , Is the 1 year expiration in the NVC process starts when you have paid the fees? I am a bit in panic because it’s taking us so long to upload civil documents since I have no idea what am I doing. I have all the civil documents except for the nbi clearance which I can’t obtain right now. If it will take a while for me to upload documents in NVC , will I be in trouble for the 1 year expiration ? This is not so clear to me. Can anyone enlighten me please.  Thanks

  10. My daughter and I are at the NVC process . I would like to ask anybody here who has already undergone the IR 2 process . What are the civil documents needed for IR 2  in the Philippines . How to upload the 2 x 2 photo at the NVC processing ? Please help

  11. I am also having difficulty with the addresses since I moved around quite a bit and from 16 yrs old is a long time since I am already 54 yrs old. I have the same problem which until now I have not solved and it frustrates me because it’s already almost a month since we have paid NVC so we can start uploading . It’s the ds 260 that is frustrating. What to do with it? Have no idea until now. I need help too please😢

Hello, I was part of the first transfers back in Jan 22. It’s been 56 days I have still not heard anything. However, I have seen some other cases approved. I have called and yes I was told it will take 45 days for decision once an officer has it. But again, there is no set plan of who goes first etc. I was transferred from Nebraska Jan 22, 2020 and submitted my paperwork PD 2-15-2019.

You’re not alone. Here I am still waiting too. NOA 1 is March 19 2019 got transferred from NSC to VSC feb 10,2020 . Hopefully we’ll also get some answers soon. Problem is we are still on lock down and getting a bit scary with this pandemic. How will we get those paperwork’s for NVC ?

Although my application has been sent from Texas to Vermont service center still I believe that i won’t have to face a longer wait as a result of being transferred.

Find below two recent I-130 approved cases from Vermont as per Igor’s list. As we all know that Nebraska processing time is 12-16 months as compared to Vermont 16-20 months for I-130 case for US citizens. These two cases approved in around 12 months as per Nebraska timelines even after transferring to Vermont. In fact transfer to Vermont speed us their approval. Look at their transfer date and NOA2 approval date.

    E&N

    NOA1- April 4, 2019

    NOA2- March 13, 2020

    Transfer date 10 Feb, 2020

    NOA1- March 21, 2019

    NOA2- March 13, 2020

    Transfer date 25 Feb, 2020

My NOA1 is March 19, 2019 yet I am still waiting until now. Everybody else are getting approved why is our case not coming out?😢😢😢 I have been away from my husband for more than a year now . After 18 years of being together, now we are apart and patiently waiting to be reunited but it is just frustrating because I can see lots of approvals past my PD .😢😢😢I hope we will  also get approved very soon.🙏

UPDATE: Attorney and I received an email from the National Visa Center with a case# after submitting for a case about 2-3 weeks ago :). Should be within a couple of months before I can go and pick up my stepdaughter.

    Remaining:

    1. Attorney Upload needed doc

    2. Pay fees

    3. Consulate Interview for my stepdaughter once all the above is accepted and NVC does their part.

Apart form that, just making sure she/we have all the required docs. Not 100% what all the requirements are as its slightly different for children.

Hi. What are the documents you have submitted for your stepchild in the NVC process? Can you please share ? My daughter has been included in the I-130 petition of my USC husband for me and we are waiting for the approval of the USCIS .Thank you.
