Seems as if i paid the wrong fee for ds160 and i have already scheduled my interview. Is there anyway i could pay this fee at the embassy in Kingston on the day of my interview?

I was assuming that the k1 visa fee is paid at the embassy. Let me know if i need to cancel my appt and make a new one

My interview is scheduled.. Now its time for the medical

So im now stuck as i dont know when will be my interview date. My fiance is booked with court appearances and motions etc..

The earliest date available is the 29th of January which of course he has court on that day..

What a nightmare. And i definitely do not want to do the interview alone

I really wanted you guys to receive an approval early. Now its like im going through the process alone and don't feel very excited to tell about my progress.

But just to note cecac is really slow on updating nvc process.. I called nvc and found out they sent my file off to Kingston yesterday so its in transit but the website still says at nvc.

So just a heads up guys.

Ive been reading some crazy comments one Facebook about how some people feel about the K1 visa process its very obscured. Ive also come to the realization that a lot of these government officials have very little knowledge of the K1 process. If only they knw how hard this whole process is. Its making me a little nervous. I feel that the k1 process will drastically slow down and its not due to the holidays

I have a NOA 1 date of 11/10 and still have zero movement with my case. No alien registration number created, no noa2 Nothing..........is this normal?

Also if you wake up in the day and check uscis website and see no update does that mean there will be zero update all day? meaning does it only change in the mornings or does it change at anytime throughout the day to keep looking back?

Base on my experience their website changes around 11pm.

But if you sign up for notification you will get an email when your file has been updated

They received it Dec 2nd. Still haven't cashed the check.

Ok this is just crazy. Last night I had a dream that we got an RFE because I did not submit the (T.O.S.) terms of service of the dating site that we used or provide any info about the site at all. I checked "NO" for question 35. Did you meet your fiancé(e) or spouse through the services of an international marriage broker? All I did was list the name of the site. www.asiandating.com. I did many other things wrong that if I took the time to read the K-1 Guide I would have had a better packet. Including failing to put "I-129F" on the mailing envelope AND not knowing about the e-notifications forum but I did sign up for USCIS case tracking once I had my WAC number. I was actually happy in my "dream" because I knew that even with an RFE at least my petition was being worked and after I sent in the info it would be approved shortly thereafter. Well a dream is not reality and there was no RFE or anything else when I woke up.

Full disclosure. I have petitioned someone over 21 years ago via a K-1 this was WELL before the internet. It took about 5-6 months total back then. I did another K-1 over 10 years ago which was also approved. This was Pre-IMBRA and it took 95 days for NOA 2 to show up and 7 months total from filing to Visa in hand. Believe it or not I used these very forums 10 years ago but a lot has changed. So there you have it. I know it's a lot of baggage but I have no regrets. Actually I have 2 beautiful children to show for it.

Me and the kids were making cookies tonight after watching the GOP debate "talk about entertainment". I had a BLEEP text message on my phone and it said........"Your Case WACXXXX is now updated Check "My Case Status at www.uscis.gov"

My heart nearly stopped. My first thought was "oh boy I'm getting an RFE" . Well I logged on and as of DECEMBER 15th, 2015 your case is APPROVED"

I am just stunned now and at a loss for words.

First thing I did was dial up my honey in the Philippines to tell her the great news. I nearly cried.

She said "What's next?" I said "You're Next" LOL

It sucks because i know the more you wait the more questions you have.

Sometimes it has alot to do with the amount of paperwork you send in to be reviewed.

thank you for your response, i hated because i paid for their services (immigation lawyer office) and they tried to save couple dollar by not sending it with delivery confimation, And now they have no idea if it was received or not. .

Yes i called..

It seems as the 0888 number gets updated last.

And the 0700 is more detailed.

I called twice once to the 0888 and they informed me they received my case.

And called the other number and they gave me full details of my case including the case number

Sorry to double post this. I started a thread before refering to this one. SO i repost it here an hopefully more will answer me.

I paid an immigration lawyer office to prepared and send file my application, according to them my application was send in on Nov. 23 2015. And up until now i still haven't NO1. Sadly the immigration lawyer office didn't send it with delivery confirmation. Im worry that my application was lost in transit, because i seen everyone one mostly get there NO1 within 10 days.

Another question for everyone been through this is, did the USCIS deposit your check before you received the Notice or the other way around ?

I have seen folks with noa2 dates as yours who called nvc and received their case number. Dont be afraid to call. And calling is the quickest response
