It's Guatemala. They charge you for everything, including using the restroom in public and at the border of belize! Ha ha thank you we are both nervous!!
Thank you!!! It's so anxiety inducing!!!!!hope you get what you need this week!!!
But the glue stick did make me chuckle. I found it a little over the top. I'm sure you'll be fine

When my ex and I applied for my daughter they wanted to see his passport and her birth certificate etc. There was a little bit of paperwork involved but nothing like what we do for our visas. It was quite easy and the documents were created very quickly.

Ok everybody, interview is Friday morning! Anybody heard any tips? For our consulate i heard to bring a gluestick! Even though we did the DS160 online, they want him to glue a photo to it anyway...something like that!!!
Best of luck to those still waiting for approval, and NVC case numbers!! Stay positive! Once you get that NVC id, it all goes fast!!!!!!
NERVOUS HERE!!!!
A glue stick? You think they'd have their own Good luck!

Yes that one is fine. It's the same one I have. I was worried too but it seems that means the form is up for review. But they will accept that one

I had my POE on Friday, spent all day in IKEA and Wal-Mart yesterday, and today caught up with my future mother- and grandmother-in-law After six months' separation it's so nice to be reunited with my fiancée.
POE at Chicago O'Hare was fine, the queues were lengthy but everything went well. I really recommend Icelandair, at least for those flying from Scotland.
Now to deal with SSNs, AOS and, oh yeah, getting married!
Glad everything went well for you Enjoy your new life!! I'm also planning on POE in Chicago so it's nice to know that they are good there.

I did mention the website (Interpals) but did not include the TOS. I did specify that our original intention was language exchange and our friendship grew to more.
You might be ok. I don't know if interpals is one of the more common ones but it's certainly well known. You mentioned the site name and if the person reviewing your file is familiar with it they will know it isn't an international marriage broker, you also don't pay any fees for interpals so hopefully you will be fine.

As far as I am aware an expedite is only granted on grounds of medical or military reasons.
-
Yeah they say 35 days. A lot of people were and still are getting their numbers before the 35 days. But at least we know it shouldn't take longer than that for them to do it.

Just checking, is everyone talking business days or total days? Waiting 25 business days will suck
Also does anyone know what info from my tax return is needed for the affidavit of support? I noticed this years return was 99 pages for some reason. Not sure which info is necessary.
It's not business days.As for your tax return, we haven't but it kind of depends on what your embassy requires.

Might get a quote from them. Total weight of my packages is 410kg and rising though The joy of ship it is they go on size and weight is irrelevant
I don't know it might be more expensive since you have a lot more than me. My stuff fits into 4 boxes... I don't have everything in there, but most of it.

You fill out what they they sent you then you put the cover page on top and send it back.

Yes, same here. We did not include the site's TOS.
If you put the name of the website it might be ok if it's well known. My fiance didn't mention the website. Just that we met online and then met in person and what dates they were. they RFE us for the TOS and wanted to know the name of the site we met on.

Ours landed on day 26; I've seen them to be averaging 21-29 days, and last I saw on the NOA2 to NVC was 24 days. After day 24, we started calling twice a day, once at 0700 and once before midnight...NVC really slowed down since Jan/Feb. good luck.
That is just so disheartening

My fiance received the NOA2 hard copy yesterday. Under strict instructions to put it in our folder and not to lose it lol. He lost the NOA1
Monday marks a week for us, so I'm going to start calling NVC next friday. I don't expect anything for a few weeks yet but that will be our almost 2 week mark so I don't see any harm in trying.

It doesn't matter where she POE. I'll POE in Chicago (hopefully) as it's cheaper than the state my fiance lives to fly to.

This is who I've been looking at. 2 cu metres of boxes from UK to LA and price quoted is around £900
I'm using baggage hub. They quoted me £470 for 5 large 25kg boxes (they have a lot of space in them. I only ended up filling 4 boxes so it'll be less and you don't have to pay duty on them as they take a copy of your visa once you have it. As for the cat, I'd suggest somewhere like Airpets. I say Airpets because I personally have used their services to send a dog to my friend before. They were very good and dealt with most of the paperwork for me. I can't afford to take all my things with me and I've had to make a lot of really big sacrifices in order to keep with in my budget. I think baggage hub have reasonable prices.

I know this is a few months off ,yet. But my fiance and I were talking last night. He wants to go back to college and get his RN and I completely support him in this, it'd be great for him and us as a family. Although we are having our wedding ceremony in October we are planning on legally marrying and AOS in July/August when I move there. When I have a job (With EAD) he would like to apply for college. He is still going to work as well. But obviously the green card can take 4-12 months to be issued and sometimes there is an interview.
So what my question is, is if he starts college and is working still but takes a pay cut and I am working. Will my income count toward 125% of the poverty line? As long as we don't fall under our bracket? Ideally he'd like to enroll for spring 2017, but I'd said to him that I assume it would depend on if my income would count or not if it would affect my green card application. Any advice and links to sources would be great as I have googled and can't seem to find anything.

Cool, when are you planning to get in touch with NVC? Do you also know if there's a long wait for the medical?
No I think Knightsbridge get you booked in pretty quickly!
And I might try and call NVC later today, I'm not expecting much but it can't hurt
Knightsbridge usually have very good availability. A couple of people on the January thread got it for the following Friday but could of had it before then if they could get down from where they live.

We got ours about 5 days after
My NOA2 date was the Friday. I (petitioner) got the hard copy the following Thursday. Took about 4 business days to be delivered.
We reciebved our approval hard copy 4 days after approval notification. This includes weekends
Thanks! I told him he'll probably get it some time next week. But it'd be great if he got it this week.
-
For those who got their NOA2 already. How long did it take for you to get your hard copy? Just wondering when my fiance should expect to receive it Is it around the same time for other notifications 7-10 days?

On my way to London, interview is this afternoon will post back later! Feeling quite nervous!
Oh it's a later interview!! I was messaging you to ask you how it had gone lol. Hope it goes well!
-
Yea, from recent time scales it seems to be taking 13 or so days to get the letter from the day of the medical. Fingers crossed.
Good luck, not long now
Transfer to Vermont (VSC) ?
in USCIS Service Centers
Posted
I waited 2 months to hear something and then it was an RFE, we then had to wait another month for our second notice. CSC has had cases from VSC transferred to them and so have been slowed down. Unless you are military and have deployment orders or have a serious medical condition you won't get an expedite. Everyone wants to be with their loved ones too, we are all sad we have to be apart. We all still have to wait. The only service center now processing K-1 is California.
