Rc123rc got a reaction from Best wishes in Spouse cheated. I am a US citizen. I sponsored her. How do I delay her Citizenship process?
Do yourself a big favor. Go out and get drunk, wait 3 days then file for divorce before she does. You can't do anything about her citizenship except possibly by divorcing her. I feel sorry for you but your story is not uncommon and the answer is always the same. Cheating is not fraud and trying to prove actual fraud is almost impossible and USCIS has heard it all. Please research the forums and threads and you will see very quickly what everyone is telling you.

There have been a number of rejections because of this. USCIS employees have not been following the rules and rejecting even if the postmark before December 23, 2016.

There are always two sides to every story. Please reread the posts again. The OP has denied a specific list of possible abuse categories. As stated previously, doubts are in play from a number of posters and the OP has received advice from many people on how to handle this situation.

I'm telling you that you need to stop listening to her parents' threats. I have said they are empty threats a couple of times. Stop worrying about it.

Calm down. They can't jail you or deport you. I'm sorry you are going through this. Ignore their threats. Get some counseling if you need it. If they filed for divorce then you can ignore it or sign it. Even if you sign it, you can still stay here and do removal of conditions with a divorce waiver.

So you think you wife is going to swear under oath that you beat her up many times? She says you "made" her hit herself. Telling a counselor these things does not mean a swearing under oath you did them. I will give one piece of advice. At this point, stay away from her, don't talk to the parents. Only see her with a fair witness present. Don't sign anything they ask you to sign.

If there was any lawsuit or arrest, she would be questioned thoroughly and her story would probably fall apart quickly. They won't question her with her parents there.

Oath means that she is legally telling to an official of the court or a notary that her statements are true. If she lies under oath, then the courts could throw her into jail. Thats the simple answer. A lawyer would give better answers. You might want to look into free legal advice. There should be some available to you.

They won't. It's a bluff/threat. Did you hit her? Restrain her? Threaten to harm her? Throw something at her? If no, then you probably have nothing to worry about and can jsut ignore them. They have to have "Physical" proof, police reports and hospital reports. They are just threatening you with the worst thing they can think of to make you sign a divorce document.

Rc123rc got a reaction from JANETandLYLE in Looking to get a divorce or annulment from k1 wife. How can I protect myself.
ICE could care less. They have bigger fish to fry. Fraud is really really hard to prove and this sounds like a situation where fraud could never be proved. It's a failed marriage as far as immigration and most people are concerned. Even if she tries to adjust with a VAWA it has a low chance. USCIS is on to the VAWA scams and scrutinizes carefully. Same thing with annulments. States are tightening up what qualifies as an annulment. It's being abused too much. Again, think about what you need to do to protect yourself, don't focus on trying to get her out of the country or screaming fraud. It's a waste of emotional effort. Sorry you are going through this. Get some counseling if you think it would do some good.
