I responded the truth, NO. In the explanation field I stated the "medical panel will take care of vaccinations before interview day"
We did not experience any problems with the DS-260.
The question is so stupid, they know every one is going to get some shots needed or not.
I believe they are testing your honesty and that is why we answered it honestly.

I don't think the immunizations are by country. You're getting vaccinations based on what are needed to meet US immigration regulations. the DOS website lists what are needed but from what i've read in different forums on this website, the approved panel pysician will determine what is needed based on medical records you bring and what is needed as an adult.

You got it girl, you are smart and fast learner, I like that.
Yes, a lot of members including myself have done it and saved precious time.
NOTE: This is not a big deal, there is a small difference between the IV and AOS cover page: The AOS page has this line: Attn. CMR AOS.
In the IV cover page the same line says Attn. CMR. So if you are a perfectionist like I am, after you print the AOS cover page, edit it removing the AOS word and now you have an IV cover page.
Keep up the good work reading ahead of time, the NVC Wiki guide and the NVC official page have everything you need to know. https://travel.state.gov/content/visas/en/immigrate/immigrant-process/approved.html

    I read this: https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-864instr.pdf
Your mother in-law is part of your household in your income tax if she is your dependent ot you are hers, then you will be combining her income with yours and in that case she will need an I-864A.
But I am assuming she is not your dependent, neither you are not her dependent as reported on in the 2014 or 2015 tax return.
You just happen to live together in the same house.
So you need an I-864 as well as your mother in-law.

If only your father-in-law will be the joint sponsor (and not your mother-in-law), then you will need to submit the following:
For your petitioner (spouse): Signed form I-864, original (wet signed) Tax transcripts or tax returns (most recent tax year or last 3 years) Employment letter (as proof of current income, if applicable) Pay stubs for the last 6 months (optional but another proof current of income, if applicable)
From your joint sponsor (father-in-law): Signed form I-864, original (wet signed) Proof of US citizenship or permanent residence Tax transcripts or tax returns (most recent tax year or last 3 years) Employment letter (as proof of current income, needed to show your father-in-law's individual income separate from your mother-in-law) Pay stubs for the last 6 months (optional but another proof current of income, also will show your father-in-law's individual income separate from your mother-in-law) Form W-2 (optional but another proof current of income, also will show your father-in-law's individual income separate from your mother-in-law And don't forget to attach the barcoded AOS cover sheet that you will get from the NVC after paying the AOS fees.

Welcome to the Case Complete to Interview Monthly thread.

You can view my spreadsheet Case Complete to Interview Spreadsheet

To update your interview date go here. Case Complete to Interview Form

For New people to the thread please go Case Complete to Interview Form and input your information in the form and it will be added to the form.

Everyone should be clicking on the Portal tab to visit the information for their country. If nothing is there or information needs updating. Update or add.
Its up to all of us to keep this information current, relevant and helpful to others.

Special Note: Different consulates or embassies have strict guidelines as to what type of bags/purses/cellphones etc can be carried in. And whether they provide any lockers (or not) for temp storage. As many travel from far away (by air/train/cars, one needs to specially know what they will not be able to take inside the consulate and where to store their personal belongings.

Here are some FAQ and other tidbits that may be useful to you. Be sure to visit your countries portal and click on the Consular Information and also Consular reviews.

    FAQ

I just called and got Case Complete how long does it take to get the email as confirmation?
Well it has been taking 5 to 7 days to get case complete email from the date they Case Complete.

How long after Case Complete will I get an interview?
Okay this is the BIG mystery of NVC. How it usually goes is end of the month and first week of month they start scheduling for interviews for the that upcoming month. Since January they have been pretty consistent starting about the last 2 days of the month and finishing that following first week of next month

Do I have to call for my interview date?
NVC has improved greatly since March. The interview letter now comes day of schedule. So call if you want its up to you.

I know someone who got interview in the middle of the month. How is that possible?
Usually when you see someone pop up with an interview outside the bunch its usually the result of a cancellation or the embassy opening up a slot. Just because scheduling stops doesn't mean they filled up all slots. They may have more slots than appointments which is good. So someone gets case complete and immediately they get an interview. It happens.

Remember every embassy has its own slots and schedule. Some like El Salvador are very busy with a long waiting list. Some like Yemen, well it may be a few months to get in. Iceland you get interview immediately scheduled after case Complete.

I need to change our interview date what do I do?
Once you receive your interview date track your casefile. Call NVC ask when your casefile left than you can follow the DHL instructions to embassy. The contact your embassy (email is best) and ask to be rescheduled later, earlier just ask.

What do I need to bring to interview?
When you receive your P4 Letter (Interview letter) it will have your personalized checklist of things to bring or not. It has been suggested because things have been lost between NVC and embassy to bring everything (Originals) to the interview so if they don't have at embassy you aren't delayed. It's up to you. It doesn't happen much but it does happen.

    How to expedite at NVC?
Go to this link has good information how to go about it.

Just to remind everyone to revisit the NVC Process Wiki, NVC Process Wiki

You must bring the following items to the visa interview:
Any original documents the NVC requested that you did not submit (refer to the document list below) If the physician gives you your medical exam results, bring them to your interview in the envelope sealed by the medical office. Two passport photographs measuring 2 inches by 2 inches (5 cm by 5 cm) with a white background A valid unexpired passport Photocopies of all civil documents A new police certificate from your current country of residence, if you obtained the police certificate more than one year ago. Any additional documents listed in the U.S. Embassy or Consulate specific interview guidelines
The following table lists the documents requested by the NVC and whether or not you submitted them to the
NVC. Please note that even though you may have provided the NVC with a copy of a document, you are
still required to bring the original document to the visa interview.

Refer to the Document Status Code Definitions (see key below) to determine the meaning of the document status codes.

Irene and Joanna, I knew this was coming when you ladies started posting each other in Spanish, that is impolite and rude to the rest of the non-Spanish speaking VJ memebers.
I have not read the extensive VJ's TOS but I am pretty sure some where in there it addresses your behavior which is a way of hijacking the thread.
I am Hispanic and I am glad VJ has accommodated Spanish speaking members not only by language but by regions, so do not even try the discrimination card here.
Every body here is welcome, we all are from different countries, cultures and backgrounds and English is the common language for us to interact and support each other.
Dwheels76 has not been rude to any one in VJ, she has supported hundreds of people here and she is the official moderator for the topic.
She was not rude to you ladies, she is just doing her volunteer job.

I searched it for you, yes they do ask for 2 photos:

Notes on marriage fault, this is red flag for bona fide marriage supporting evidence. Prepare your husband with lots of evidence.

The link you provided presents general information about what is needed for the IR1/CR1, not anywhere says these items are to be sent to NVC.
The following link lists what is supposed to be sent to NVC, and the 2 pictures are NOT TO BE SENT to NVC, it clearly states they are to be brought to the interview.

According to NVC portal, he needs to bring to the interview all the original civil documents you guys previously sent to NVC, plus a copy of each, a current police certificate, his current passport, 2 photos and AOS.Your embassy must have a P4 letter with instructions and specific requirements.
Ex: Mine requires divorce papers for both of us from previous marriage, (when applicable)not just the beneficiary as NVC lists. Also our instructions required 7 photos, 1 for lab, 4 doctor, 2 for interview.
All that other bona fide marriage stuff is optional but historically mandatory for certain high fraud countries.
Do not be nervous, focus instead.
We had a lean, just required stuff package and another one with extra stuff just in case.
For instance we had a translation to English of the beneficiary's BC just in case because USCIS does not longer ask for it and NVC does not require translations if documents are in the language of the of the beneficiary's country, but our embassy requires English translations for all civil docs.

I am posting here my reply to your PM for the benefit of all members:
First, I want to clarify I referred to the NVC process Wiki guide here in VJ, not to the official https://travel.state...s/approved.html
The Official NVC section of the State Department does not specify how you file taxes, it just requires an AOS.
Second, the NVC process Wiki guide: Item 14 addresses taxes issues: It shows examples of 2014 because it was written back then.

Read my post on filing MFS and claiming the spouse exemption. (Extra refund money $$$)

    http://www.visajourn...16#entry7996153

The 3 conditions to claim spouse exemption are NEW for 2015.
Filing MFS and using NRA in tyhe SSN field for immigrant spouse is nothing new.

This link proves that the IRS has provisions for non resident spouses living abroad.
    https://www.irs.gov/...d-as-a-Resident

BOTTOM LINE IS NOT TO LIE TO UNCLE SAM REGARDING YOUR CIVIL STATUS ON YOUR TAX RETURN.
FURTHERMORE, THE CO WILL DENY YOUR VISA OR PUT YOU ON AP UNTIL YOUR INCOME TAX REFLECTS YOUR REAL CIVIL STATUS, WHICH MUST BE MARRIED BECAUSE YOU ARE APPLYING FOR A IR1/CR1.
The CO does no care if you file MFJ (a little bit complicated) or MFS (easier this year, because of the 3 conditions), THE CO WANTS TO SEE "M" for MARRIED.
