  1. @Magi Stark now you know about the picture, ask him/her for a new one.
  2. I am curious, share it with us and I will give you a sincere oipinion!!! Come on, be brave!!!!
  3. Google also states USCIS uses the photo taken at the biometrics appointment and You tube demo videos indicate the picture is taken when you seat down right after the swearing under oath at the interview.
  4. Are the ID pictures for the US Citizenship Certificate taken at the naturalization ceremony? (We never saw a request for pictures in te online application but added them as extra dicumentation).
  5. Feedback, opinions, and personal experiences about the N-336 appeal process after an N-400 denial, especially concerning a rejected N-648 Medical Disability Exception, are highly valued and appreciated!!! So far, I have learned that it must be submitted within 30 days of the N-400 denial, and typically the hearing is held within 180 days by a USCIS Immigration Officer, not by an immigration judge. If a decision is not made within 120 days after the citizenship interview, the applicant can request a hearing in the United States district court for their district of residence. This option for judicial review does not require filing Form N-336 with USCIS first. The AAO (Administrative Appeals Office) is a distinct body that manages appeals for most other USCIS decisions. You may be able to appeal to the AAO if your N-336 is denied, depending on the particular situation and the relevant appeal procedures.
  6. That was a clear answer!! Thank you @OldUser
  7. Silly question about N-400? Maybe not. Part 16, Oath of Allegiance, clearly states is to be used at the naturalization ceremony. The question is, if at the interview you may be tested about your knowledge of this oath either by knowing it by memory or explaining it in your own words? (We understand that PART 9 question 32 asks if you understand the Oath of Allegiance.)
  8. In these cities you can get your passport in the same day using the "reservation ticket" described above. Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Detroit, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Stamford, and Washington, D.C. I don't know why Miami is not listed, I did last year down here.
  9. You can make a reservation with AA to any country they fly not claiming to be a US citizen without purchasing it, its good for 24 hours. NOW YOU HAVE A VALID RESERVATION. Make the passport appointment for 8/18, (it does not matter if yu reservation has expired by the passport appointment date, they just look at the reservation printout to verify your name and the dates of travel). If the passport appointment comes around and still you are not a US Citizen, just get online and cancel it. Keep the 14 days in mind to request the passport appointment.
  10. Thank you @Magi Stark for your confirmation.
  11. We hope so, no brushes with domestic or international LEO, no immigration violations, no taxes due, no more than 210 days abroad during last 5 years, we both are seniors over 65, I have been a US citizen since 1988 and she a LPR since 2016.🙏🙏🙏
  12. I knew your experience was recent and knowing your commitment and dedication to this forum, I knew you will answer. Thank you again!!!
  13. We decided to go without one, my wife filed under the 5 year rule.
  14. I remembered having this conversation with you back in March and I have been quoting many attorneys down here in South Florida, no one wants to do it below 3k. I told them all the paperwork has been gathered, submitted and processed and still they want that much. That looks to me like grand theft with a license to make it legitimate!!!
  15. I am glad I asked, my wife said she saw Youtube videos rehearsing interviews where they mentioned tablets for the civics test. (I am skeptical about info like that) Thank you @OldUser
  16. What is the format for the current history/civics test? Do they use a tablet with written questions and multiple choice answers or oral questions and oral/written answers? Thank you in advance for your answers.
  17. That would explain his/her excitment about getting the interview after 17 months. In Visajourney there are 36 NY cases filed in 2024 and just 16 have interviews, their backlog is serious.
  18. I think is more likely like March 2024 what @singh0819 meant. Another member "with timeline" from New York who filed on March 2024 just got an interview scheduled for August 14 2025.
  19. Thanks for your update, I believe you got it!!! But its a very streesful how they are handling your case. Everything will turnout OK!!!
  20. Latest USCIS data for 2025 QTR-2 is available. https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-and-studies/immigration-and-citizenship-data?page=1
  21. Recent official USCIS released data for 2025 QTR-2 (JAN-FEB-MAR) quarterly_all_forms_fy2025_q2.pdf n400_performancedata_fy2025_q2.pdf appropriation_requirement_may_2025.pdf
  22. I found 58 Visajourney members applied during January 2025 for Citizenship, 33 of us have scheduled interviews, 24 have been approved and 25 have their interview still pending. I do not know how many of the 58 are in this thread.
  23. https://www.congress.gov/bill/119th-congress/house-bill/1/text
  24. Congratulations, it seems like most January 2025 filers have interviews scheduled according to the data in the timelines. BIG congratulations to all of us!!!. Is there a way of knowing the amount of memebers in each thread?
