My wife left Chile with no issues on January 7.  The airline attendant didn't ask to see any papers prior to boarding.

Once she landed in Miami, she had to wait in the customs and immigration line for nearly 2 hours as apparently there were about 4 other flights that landed at the same time.  Since her green card was expired, she couldn't use one of the kiosks so she had to wait to see an actual person.  Once she was seen, she presented her expired green card and letter, and there were no issues.

She now has her 10 year green card! 

So, for clarity...

Since she's already out of the country, will she have issues re-entering?  She has an extension letter from December 2018 which was good for 18 months.  Is that all she needs to show when re-entering?

These people choose to put themselves out there on television knowing full well that everything is going to be edited with lots of drama... it's entertainment.  In a way it's a mockery of the entire process so I don't feel bad at all making comments about what is presented on television.  All of us watching the show shake our heads in disbelief yet we continue watching...

Did anyone else think that jungle boy was going to push Karine in the water for a second?  I wonder what he would have done if the cameras weren't there.  He's deranged.   If I'm correct there was more than one emergency protective/domestic violence order against him.   He is a violent, violent man. I dunno about the mugging scene if it was set up or not.  Karine did tell him to put his cell phone in his pocket because it was dangerous then low and behold hers gets stolen.  I was also wondering why they didn't try to take the cameras...

Chris gave Abby SCABIES!!! WHAT!!!! that's soooo disgusting!  I mean, how does that even happen?  and they were so nonchalant about it.  and how much more obvious could they have been about wanting to tear each other's clothes off in the back of the taxi?  "it's funny how inhibiting cameras are"  ICK ICK ICK 

Antonio is a player, but at least he's somewhat honest about it.  He tries to play it off as his culture.  Anyone think about Pedro when Antonio kept asking "what's the problem?"  Cortney just needs to relax and have fun and not let her emotions get too involved.  She did fly across the pond to be a booty call.  Might as well live it up, eat paella, drink sangria, and see the sights. 

I wonder if Darcey has a drinking problem, but it's not being addressed on the show?  She made it seem like she only had wine with his mom but omitted the part she went to the bar afterward.  She doesn't want to be treated like a child, well maybe she shouldn't act like one.  Jesse looks weird without facial hair...Darcey actually looks better without so much makeup.  She need to get rid of the hair extensions tho and maybe deflate the lips a bit.

Just from the previews it seems like he tells her his criminal history then throws a fit like "I don't deserve you because I'm a horrible person" and then just clops off like a bratty child.  I wouldn't be surprised if he had the machete.  I mean why would someone mug him?  all they'd get is condoms, cough drops, and maybe some spare STD tests...

Darcey straight up threw a little tantrum after Jesse's mom told her what she didn't want to hear.  Then she turns it around on Jesse.  I mean, yes, he's a bit controlling but to me it's more of an OCD thing than an actual power trip.  He had a romantic time planned until she showed up all sloppy drunk.  Her girls are gonna watch this show. 

Patrick is so going to win over Miriam.  Well, by win over I mean hook up and probably just that...I don't see it going anywhere else.

How can new sugar daddy not know that old sugar daddy is Abby's REAL sugar daddy??  I mean, does Abby really think that she can hide the fact, especially from the camera/producers?  She had to tell Chris no mouth and they played tickle fingers the whole time in the car...It's less creepy seeing them together than with Sean.  How does he say she's the woman of his dreams?  She's barely out of her teens!! 

I just can't even with Paul.   Poor Karine wanted to be intimate, but Paul being the romantic made her take the STD and pregnancy test beforehand.  HE needs the STD test.  And when they started making out I cringed. I'm sure their moment of intimacy was short-lived.  I mean, he said it's been a decade?? c'mon.

I don't think Paul is as dorky as he looks.  Have you seen his mug shot?  Arson and burning personal property to defraud insurer.  I think he's probably playing it up for the cameras.  He's been a fan of the show and knows exactly what will make the ratings.  I mean, I think he's a creep, and I also think he's a lot different behind closed doors.  (he's out on shock probation ans on probation until 2020) And why in the hell wouldn't he learn some basic Portuguese?? Is he going to rely on the translator app while he's there?  That poor girl. HOW DID HE GET A PASSPORT AND A VISA!!!! 

The guy from Ohio, what is he thinking??  She's a year old than his daughter!  Besides the ick factor the woman already has a sugar daddy!  Another train wreck I'm eager to see play out.

The lady who is going to Amsterdam is going to be there for 6 weeks?  Isn't that overkill? She has 2 children that she says are her world, and she made the comment that she hopes she'll be engaged when she comes back and he can be a father to her kids.  WHAT?! 

It's nice to see some fresh faces to throw into the poisonous soup of this show.  I can't help but consume it.

She was just approved for her Green Card.  Does this impact us filing our taxes now??

We are in the process of filing our taxes, and I want to cry.

My wife moved here in April 2016, but I couldn't add her to my health insurance through my employer as she didn't have a social security number and was told I couldn't add her without one. 

She finally received her social security number and EAD in September 2016.  I couldn't add her to the health insurance until January 2017.

Is there an exemption or will we be penalized?

Also, I've gone through many of the forums here, and I *think* we need to file:

We filed in June 2016, received an RFE and returned it in August 2016.  Haven't heard anything since so I called USCIS for an inquiry.  Received a letter stating the case is being considered for an interview waiver in Tuscon, AZ.  they couldn't give an exact date of processing time. 

We are soo frustrated!!!!

It felt like the interview show was all about Jorge and Anfisa. Anfisa was upset that people call her a and complained that viewers don't see what Jorge does. Even if he's an ### to her at times that still doesn't justify locking and breaking his phone, keying his car, etc. She "had her reasons." If those reasons call for that kinda behavior she's better off to go back home. He called her a child, but he argued with her like one himself.

Why can Chantel not use her jaw when she talks?? Poor Pedro. He truly does love her and seems very naïve. It was funny when he said it was crazy that Anfisa had Jorge's passwords.

Matt and Alla will probably last. She's probably in it for the GC, but she seems content and so does he.

It was weird how they "lost" connection with Azan after Nicole's mom said she's not going to help her get him to the US. Nicole did look pretty though.

Last night I think I screamed at my tv at everyone except Matt and Alla. His friend is a douche though. I'm so glad her sister was able to come here, but I'm also very surprised she was granted the visa.

Everything Chantel whined and complained about was her fault. She treated Pedro like ####### on their wedding day as if it was all his fault she didn't have a beautiful planned out wedding. pfff I think it was all staged with her family though.

Nicole's 16 year old brother is a lot wiser than she is. .Does Nicole still live at home with her parents? When her mother said she wasn't going to co-sponsor and that Nicole isn't going to take May to Morocco in December because Nicole has no money and Nicole's response was "SO" haha SUCH A CHILD! I also didn't like how she talked negatively about Azan but then told her brother that she doesn't want him or the rest of her family thinking badly about him.

Jorge should have taken her and dropped her off with the money at the departure curb and sped off. She would have thrown a fit though and not gotten out of the car. It was amusing last night when Mohammed was riling everyone up. He said they're all drunk, which I didn't understand. He has this attitude like he's entitled to something. Have you guys watched his youtube channel where he gives advice to those immigrating here?

Anfisa is a psycho, and Jorge added fuel to fire by giving her his password to his phone. What's up with the car he's driving? does it not have Bluetooth? It was kinda amusing when he was getting frustrated with her calling every other second. She acts the way she does because he allows her to do so. She's 20 years old, barely out of her teens. And in the previews she keys a car? oh hell no. After everything she's done I wonder what would actually be Jorge's deal breaker?

Nicole just needs to accept that she and Azan will never work. She had a 5-week vacation full of drama with a dash of romance. It'd be a shame to have them be this season's version of Mohammed and Danielle.

Matt's friend is way too involved in Matt's relationship. He has no respect for Matt or for Alla. I think it's a red flag that Alla hasn't told Matt she loves him, but she did leave her family, her home, everything she knows to come live with Matt in a small town in Kentucky. If Matt is willing to marry her and build a loveless marriage that's his decision.

Pedro's mom did not hold back. Chantel whining that his mom wouldn't speak slower so she could understand. She caused this mess and wants to complain that she's not being respected.

Narkyia really bought in to Lowo's BS seduction. He wants her to be more Nigerian and let him be in control of everything. She was like oh hell no. She's independent BUT she also chased his wannabe prince ### to Vietnam to get some answers. Can't wait till next week when she wastes a perfectly good ice cream cone on his face.

OMG! Happily Ever After had me with my jaw dropped after Mohammed said Danielle smells and needs to see a doctor before anyone has sex with her. Chantel aka Ceair Wylie did not fess up that she was the one who lied, not Pedro aka Junior Jimeno Morel. Again, why are they not using the real names?? Makes me think their whole story was fabricated. Pedro went from "no understand" to referring to himself in 3rd person. "no body likes the Pedro because of you." The whole pre-nup discussion was absurd.

Lowo still saying he's a Nigerian prince. He thinks he can romance her and things are going to be fine. What's with the headshots of her he has all over the walls. that's supposed to make her swoon? He straight up said he was in it for the green card but oops, he fell in love. As if that justifies all the lies. And I be damned if she didn't chase his butt to Vietnam. The desperation is heartbreaking because she seems like a beautiful independent woman and she's being victimized, albeit by choice.

Azan's reasons why he loves Nicole were generic. She cares about him and has a nice smile? She said if she'd stay a week longer then he'd change and treat her the way she deserves. Um, she was there 5 weeks. Another day wouldn't have made any difference. He'd still reject her physical advances and appear emotionally void like he did when she was leaving. I did think maybe he really loved her, and maybe it's the editing, but I'm back to thinking he's just in it for the green card.

We received an RFE for AOS because I had failed to send the hard copies of my last 3 year tax returns. I had put the amounts only, and they said I didn't meet the

200% poverty line. I work for state government and am well beyond the necessary required income. I submitted the RFE with the last 3 year tax returns as well as my bank statements. They received August 29, 2016. Our case is still pending.

My wife was approved for EAD on Sept 12, applied for SSN, and is now applying for employment.

I'm a bit confused about Chantel and Pedro. I saw online that those are not their real names. Do they use fake names for this show?

It's also weird how both Chantel and her brother refer to their parents as "mommy and daddy." Her brother assumes Pedro put her up to lying, and it doesn't seem that Chantel was going to fess up that it was her idea all along.

I don't see in any fashion or form how Nicole and Azan will ever work out. The cultural and religious differences are too much, and neither can seem to find common ground. If they've had this many issues thus far I can't imagine how they will handle any issues that comes along with marriage. She's just so immature...Seeing how he is on the show and how his Twitter page is, I can't believe it's really him on Twitter. He doesn't strike me as saying things like "haters gonna hate."

Jorge acted like he was all hurt when Anfisa straight up told him her true intentions. I liked her honesty and the way she threw it back at him when she asked if he'd still like her if she were fat and ugly. I can't fault her for actually coming clean about being a gold-digger. Jorge is getting what he deserves if she chooses to stay with her.

Alla had to compromise her dream wedding on the beach because Matt was already married at the beach, and his family couldn't afford to make the trip. She could have had a beach wedding with just her and Matt and Max, and then had another ceremony/reception back in KY. She must really love Matt to tolerate his overbearing family.

Last night felt like the Anfisa/Jorge show. Anfisa is going to end up in the porn industry just like Farrah from Teen Moms. Jorge is going to end up broke and groveling at Anfisa's feet as she looks down on him with those duck lips, rolling her eyes.

I'm starting to change my opinion about Azan. I think he might actually love Nicole. I don't know how or even why, but he sees something in her. Either that or he's amazing at faking it. People on Twitter were getting upset about Azan calling out Nicole's weight and eating habits, but she's obviously obese. He wants her healthier so they can be more active. I'd rather someone tell me to eat healthy and exercise instead of enable me to the point I'm a candidate for My 600lb Life. He said she's lazy, which she is. He didn't call her a fat ### or anything demeaning. She seems to be taking heed in what he was telling her because she's putting effort into losing weight as she documents on Twitter. Both she and Azan are alluding to a big twist on the finale...can't wait.

Chantel threw Pedro under the bus when she asked him to tell her parents. Poor guy can't even speak fluent English! Her brother is controlling, and what was with the hickey on his neck? Her parents are very respectful and classy. Of course who's to say they didn't explode once the cameras were gone.

Any of us here knows that Lowo is lying. They wouldn't approve a visa without FIRST doing the criminal background check. She seems so desperate believing lie after lie.

On Happily Ever After, I was bored with Alexei and Loren. I think I even channel surfed when they were on.

Danielle, Danielle...She was actually giddy when she found out he was coming to Ohio to talk to her. It was almost like she was behaving like she was going on a first date again with him. It was difficult to watch. She needed to stick with the annulment. I really think she has a mental health diagnosis, living in an alternate reality.

I didn't start watching the show until this season. I can't believe that Nicole and Azan will get approved for the K-1 visa. He asked her to marry him after how long? A few weeks? I wonder what they have in common. She's clearly in lust with him, and he doesn't seem the bit attracted to her. I do think he's genuine in wanting her to enjoy herself while in his country and teach her about his culture, but she has tunnel vision and is all about being touchy-feely. I just don't see it being a success. She's a whiny child who left her own child for 5 weeks. I mean, 5 weeks? Two weeks seems more realistic.

I feel for Pedro. I think he's a nice guy and also genuine, but Chantel has already tainted their relationship by lying to her family. That puts Pedro in an awkward and unjust position. I don't think Chantel is ready to be married since she still loves to party. She was crying that she had no money yet they went to Florida to get away from the stress. The stress that she created herself. I have hopes for them because I like Pedro. He is funny with his "no understand." His accent though...If her dad did any research he would know that Pedro would have to take the TOEFL to get into school in the US, and since he can't speak English fluently it's obvious he's not in school.

Alla and Matt. I liked them in the beginning, but now I think Matt has way too much baggage. Bringing up the fact he's already been married 3 times is not going to build their relationship. I think his family is way too intrusive, which he allows, and poor Alla has to endure all of this. I don't know if it's going to last because he's starting to seem too jealous and controlling. She seems too head strong and independent for his insecurities.

I like to dislike Jorge and Anfisa. There is absolutely no love there AT ALL. He's so taken by her beauty, and she's so taken with his money. She's entirely fake. She's a gold digger, and I too throw up in my mouth each time he says "my love." Send her back to Russia so she can start anew with another sugar daddy.

Our i129f petition was approved on December 7, 2015 online, but I never received a hard copy of the NOA2.

On January 11, 2016 I received notice that the petition was received at NVC and will be forwarded to the US Embassy in Santiago, Chile. I inquired on the USCIS site about never receiving the NOA2, and I received a response that it must have been lost in the mail. My only option is to file a i824 in order to request a duplicate. The filing fee is outrageous! It's also soo frustrating that I have to pay for something that was lost due to no fault of my own...

My question is do I need the hard copy of NOA2 for my fiancée's interview? if so, is there any way to get an extension because I read that it might take 3 months to receive the duplicate after filing the i824.
