We never got a response from anyone on this, but I thought I'd update anyway. After calling USCIS, they called back within a couple days after the original post, and said they would make a note that the I-751was still pending, and they said to go to the N400 interview. At the interview the officer noticed the I-751 wasn't complete. He asked my wife the citizenship questions, looked at only the most recent bank statement she had along (wanted to see payroll deposits), and asked to see a couple of recent pictures (lucky she had her phone with her). He told her he couldn't approve the N400 because the I-751 wasn't approved yet, but said he would take care of that. The interview lasted about 15 minutes. The next day the I-751 approval notification showed up, and later that day or the next morning the N400 approval notification came in and said that the ceremony letter would be mailed. Interview was the last week of March, ceremony was the third week of April. After all the long waits along the way the end all happened pretty quickly.

I've seen a few posts similar to this but not quite the same scenario. I-751 has been at the status of "ready to be scheduled for interview" on the USCIS site for a very long time, perhaps almost a year by now. We filed the N-400 last fall and now have an interview scheduled for that (also reflected on the site), but the I-751 status has not changed nor was it mentioned on the letter. We called a week ago for clarification but have not received a response yet. Would this be typical of how they handle the combination interview? 

It's not necessary to submit that information, but a good idea to do so for a high fraud country, as what is in the submission is all of the information the consular officer sees before you attend interview, and could possibly help the outcome. We submitted extra pictures, Skype screenshots, messenger and chat screenshots, and a brief one page letter about our relationship. Haven't got to the interview stage, yet, but hopefully it helps us out.

So happy to see so many of the September filers moving on to the next stage.
I called NVC this morning, and our case arrived or was entered into their system yesterday, Nov 5. I was told the standard 42 days thing to have a number assigned, but I'll be calling next week, and the week after I'm sure. I had called on Wednesday also, and I really hadn't thought they'd have it at all this week, just getting anxious. Both times that I called I got through relatively quickly, Wednesday I was on hold for less than 4 minutes, today less than 7. I must have got lucky.

Checked the case tracker app a little while ago for the millionth time today, and there it was in bright green, APPROVED!!!! Then looked and saw that the email had arrived about a half hour ago too. Perfect start to the weekend!!

We just submitted ours about two weeks ago, and your list is nearly identical to what we submitted, giving a little front loading with the relationship information. The only thing I don't see in your list is pictures of the two of you together? I'm guessing you have them, but just not itemized.

Yes, should pretty soon for sure. I woke up today and saw my check cleared overnight, I'd been impatiently waiting ever since.
