This is what I would send back, highlighted of course, as Nich suggested. There are no red stamps. But this IS a FINAL Decree, undoubtedly. I'm fine with sending this back with a letter of explanation and highlighted relevant parts, but my fear is that a rejection would end our petition, or would there be an RFE2? Would a call to USCIS be in order in addition to a letter in our response? Thanks again!

No it won't end your petition, but make sure you follow up with a phone call, do not assume everything is being processed

Keep on top of this, keep on top of the NVC, don't assume everything is being worked on

Your case will get completed, but you have to be proactive in the whole process

Your getting there, a lot of Brits have gone through what you are going through

The totally bizarre thing about this is that I remarried in Chicago, so my decree was good enough to get married in the US, provide the NVC with said Marriage Cert, yet not good enough for immigration...............

I had exactly the same problem, I sent the flimsy 1 page decree and got an RFE for the decree................We assumed NVC had lost it so sent another copy, no joy

My wife had to go through the wording of the decree on the telephone to explain that yes it was in fact a decree!!

As you say you would've thought NVC would be aware of the paperwork, but it appears not!

As Nick-Nich says highlight the obvious parts, I would also call them and get them to look again at your paperwork and run through it with them

When you get your US driving licence they encourage you to smile, unfortunately I look like a drunk gurning muppet!

You can still work, just show the paperwork that shows you have applied for your SSN, the HR department just use a temporary number

The UK driving test is very hard and very strict. I'm sure if I took it again now I'd fail. So the real joke is that in Massachusetts they wouldn't accept me passing the UK test as proof that I could drive but gave me a MA license on the strength of me being able to drive round the block! It's crazy!

Same here, don't think I would stand a chance of passing the UK test now

And yes it's been quick, combination of luck and me asking if the interview could be scheduled quickly due to me being 6mos pregnant. ?

Yup that pays for your written test (which isn't written it's on a PC)

Then you get your learners permit, it pays for your driving test, and pays for your new Photo ID/Licence

I think you get 3 attempts at the written, and 1 attempt at driving test, even if you somehow manage to fail its $7 to restest!

Passed the written test without reading any manuals, just a multi choice set of questions on a PC

Honestly if you've been driving most of the answers are obvious (I've been driving 30 years)

Probably the biggest issue is that they drive on the wrong side of the road in the US, I took my Nike test sometime after my Car test so was in a better position, no reference points on a bike.

I do remember it causing an issue on the multiple guess questions, got my lefts and rights the wrong way around.

The context I have heard it used in a negative was was something like "Oh stuff off".

But I am sure it can be different by region.

For example I see online that putting two finger in the air in a v shape (or a peace sign) is similar to the middle finger. When someone does it in Top Gear I notice they cover it up.

But my fiance does the peace sign all the time, and it's clearly not an offensive gesture for him, as he is not a vulgar person and absolutely hates cursing.

Yeah kinda, 2 fingers with knuckles facing outwards is rude, 2 fingers knuckles facing inwards is the peace sign

They showed me what was being entered in the system for me to check (it was wrong my mother has a weird first name!)

So it was changed and then entered into the system, did you not check it first??

NOA2 dates can be all different dates, I guess its how efficient the clerk whose desk your file was dumped on is lol
