Hello, we received an RFE on our K1 visa app and sent back the blue paper. I believe it specifically stated to send it back.

Only the applicant is admittes inside. If you are travelling a day earlier do not hesitate and drop by and ask the guard if they can process you...they might... this happenes to my fiance..
They went a day earlier and was checked in at a hotel nearby. They scouted the area and asked the guard outside the building if they found the correct buildin. The guard told my fiance to go in sice they are still open. It was around 2pm.

Just the applicants that are their for their exam are allowed in. There are lots of places to go while waiting. Little restaurants and such.

Family members, friends, etc are not allowed inside clinic due to crowding. They can wait outside or at the hotel.

Im sorry but she cant bring anyone with her inside. When I went there, I could observe that those with small children or those that are really old are the only ones allowed to have companion inside the clinic. Good luck on your journey! ?

Newbie208 reacted to Zedayn in Nervous (more like terrified) of getting the K-1 Visa wrong, please help
No it won't. As was stated before, the I-129F asks how you met in person...now how you originally met when your relationship began. Yes at the interview they will ask how you originally met, and it is perfectly fine at that time to say you met on such and such website, started messaging each other, etc. There is no issue at all with this.
I met my wife originally online. On the I-129F I sent in, I said:
I met [wife's name] at NAIA airport in Manila, Philippines on Nov 3, 2013. We spent 2 weeks together.
At the interview the first Filipina consul asked us how we met. We explained that we met each other online, started messaging each other and became best friends. Then she asked to see pictures of us together, and that was it. The American consul never asked us how we met, just focused more on what our wedding plans were.
Absolutely NO ISSUES.

Well, if they say in writing they met in another country, but in the interview the beneficiary says they met online, that will cause problems. It is better to tell the truth and omit nothing.

Newbie208 reacted to Greenbaum in S.O.S NO interview dates this year
The Embassy keeps very strict controls on interview dates by not opening too many months at a time. Usually the current month and maybe the next. August is open now of course, and if a date shows then it may be because of a cancellation. September should be open now also. Are you seeing a September calendar with possible dates grayed out?
Like others have said, the calendar is always in flux. You can try in an hour and fined 6 dates open or again zero. You just never know.

No worries. They really just open up one month schedule at a time. Keep checking everyday. They might open the schedule for next month soon.

Newbie208 reacted to Greenbaum in DS-160 Fee?
Keep calling them. It seems you are lagging a little behind the norm but you are near enough that soon you will have your MNL#.

Newbie208 reacted to Greenbaum in DS-160 Fee?
One click and you print it off. Call ahead to the bank you will be visiting to insure they will take a visa payment. Like my website states, not all do. Also, tell her to bring her passport, again not all bank branches ask for it but those who do you can't get by the gate keeper till you have it. So just bring it along.
Once you get the receipt back from the bank then have her make copies and put one in a very safe place. This is a good time to start scanning to pdf and saving to the cloud.

You know the next steps? If not use the link in my signature at the twisting arrow. Good luck.

Newbie208 reacted to Greenbaum in DS-160 Fee?
First thing you do is create your visa payment receipt then go to the bank and pay for the visa interview fee with that receipt. Wait 24 hours and then go online to schedule your interview. And then fill out the ds-160. Additional steps are available on my website. Link is in the signature box below at the twisty narrow.

Call every day M-F till you get your number. That's the official answer "CALL BACK IN TWO WEEKS" that everyone receives.
E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov I highly recommend you email NVC for the MNL #, even if you call and get it, this will give you a correspondence from NVC with the MNL # for future reference. The email request for your MNL # is also a great way to track when your file is forwarded to USEM as NVC will not reply to the email until that time.
REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:
You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:
* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).
* Petitioner's name and date of birth.
( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )
* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.

Newbie208 reacted to danlrob in NVC no response
The time it takes to move from USCIS to NVC varies for each case. I saw some cases received at NVC in 2 weeks time. For us, it was 36 days for NVC to receive our case. They received it Aug 5, we had a case number Aug 6, and it was sent to Manila Aug 7. Hang in there, you are very close. You don't have to wait 2 weeks to call back. I called every day.

Newbie208 reacted to Hank_ in I-864 and/or I-134 ?
Embassy instructions letter asks for the I-134. Details in the link in my signature.
You would do well to pop over to the Philippines forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/129-philippines/

Newbie208 reacted to Shauneg in I-864 and/or I-134 ?
If you make over than you are ok. Use the I-134, they haven't even been asking for them or proof of income the past few months but do it anyway as it's listed as documents they may ask for. The 864 is not for you.
