  1. hello I'm replying to this topic for future reference:

I rescheduled my appointment thrice. I just wrote on the reply tab that i have a family emergency and could not attend at the schedule time. (i forgot which date that was)

the first re-scheduled date was on aug 8, I was scheduled to return in the US at aug 7.

however, my dad became really sick and would have to go to the hospital around aug 5. I didn't return to the US at aug 7 as I intended. I wrote again about my situation and  they rescheduled me for an Aug. 30 appointment.

I wrote them back again and ask if they are ok to reschedule to September 11. I told them that my dad doesn't have much time  and I would like to extend my leave to September.
(in which, I was very thankful that Imade that decision to stay :( )

they again rescheduled me to my recommended date, September 11. I made it to that appointment, thankfully.

  2. hello i applied for citizenship (online)last week and today i got a notification that they are scheduling me for a biometrics appointment.

my problem is im here in the philippines on FMLA leave. my dad has a life threatening illness. im here until aug7. i didnt think that they would schedule it soon. i dont know when is the appointment yet.

my question is, can i reschedule the appointment if ever the scheduled date is near? im very anxious that i cant attend.

my husband is in the US, can he call in behalf of me?

what are my other options. help very anxious.

  3. I feel like OP is being stubborn based on Op's replies. OP your visa is denied (we are sorry to inform you). the people here already told you the reasons.Don't linger too much on the NVC replying , it will not happen.

I bet everyone knows the feeling of waiting here. So everybody feels for you, that's why we are recommending you some options for you and your fiance to be together.

but don't be discouraged, there are options:  refile k-1 or

Maybe go for CR1, that's the best bet.

Also, before applying build a better case, complete your files ( divorce papers, etc)

  4. I was really surprised, i checked it a couple of times making sure that uscis is not pulling an april fools joke on me. because after the biometrics, there was no case transfer, approval or anything.

I also  i checked the case tracker by 100s ( the number being close to my case number) and none of the ROC cases above or below me got approvals >_<

it feels like my lucky day---🍀🍀🍀 hopefully vermont filers will get their approvals soon.

  5. we have a similar dilemma. when I filed i had few financial evidences.

    what i had are just:
    -health insurance, dental, eye

-a joint account that we rarely use, I put money into it but not too much.
we have separate bank accounts because it's silly to ask for your husbands' permission to buy things ( i explained this in the cover letter)

-a lot of travel photos and photos of our weddings (us and in the philippines)

-letter submitted to the church indicating we want to get married in catholic church- i dont know if this has bearing

    - testimony from friends

    - tax transcripts since we filed jointly

    - a copy of a check address to the both us.

    - bank statements from the joint account

I was advise to put a will, but end up not doing that.

    ------

my ROC got approved today-- But i know this these are case to case basis.

maybe you could get passenger's insurance instead of an actual car insurance?

or get a joint credit card? that's what im planning to do when I file citizenship >soon<

  6. hello everyone,

so recently, I filed removal of conditions feb 16, 2018... i havent received my NOA 1 yet

but coming next week we are going to canada and I'm a bit worried that I might not be allowed to enter the US, my card is expiring in May.

However, I already called USCIS(before booking the flight)and ask a cpb officer (we had a trip outside the US december 2017) if there is going to be a problem and they both said to me that it's not a problem.

I just want to know if any of you here have experienced this and how did you go about this.

    thanks

  7. Hello,

happy new year everyone! So I know that there is already a lot of threads regarding this matter but most of

I read is they have compounded a lot of evidences (loans, credit cards, billing statements, lease agreement etc.)

We are filing soon (maybe around feb.), but I'm a little bit concern that I may not have a lot of 'evidence' because I don't have those examples above. (I am the alien spouse)

at the top of my head, (hypothetically, if we are going to file now) all I have is..\:

1.) taxes filed (from the date of marriage)

2.)  joint account statements from our bank

3.) TONS of photos. ( 2nd wedding in the Philippines, travel)

4.) affidavits from friends and relatives.

NOTES: We keep our finances separate like credit cards, bills etc. that works with us.
We live with other people so like our other bills (internet, electric etc) doesn't reflect our names in it.

Do you think these might be enough? I'm so worried.

  8. And I based my answer on the actual I-485 form instructions from the USCIS.

You would not get an RFE for including a needless extra form. Just because you personally included it does not make you right. Show me in the I-485 instructions where it asks for a G-325A from the USC petitioner/sponsor. If you can, then you will be right.

ok not going to fight with you on this, if you think you are correct that is fine. I thought i was also correct because almost all of the checklist I've looked it include the petitioner's and the beneficiaries G325A. i just did my own thing and got a green card, that's it.

  9. 2. Should the G325A be completed for both myself (beneficiary) and my husband (petitioner)? Or just myself? The person that answered 'both' above is incorrect. Just you. You are the one filing the I-485 to adjust status. The USC does not provide anything other than the I-864 and its supporting documents.

I based my answer in my recent application, and my own checklist. I didnt have an rfe so i guess i was right. it's up to you if you want to include your spouse's G325A

  10. 1. At my K1 embassy interview in London, I received a Medical Disc - which I assumed would be required for AOS. However I don’t see this on the list, is this for my own personal records or should it be submitted?

dont attach the cd in the aos package. but I showed the CD to the civil surgeon. there is one here in avon,MA I'd recommend it if you like.
civil surgeon not required, but it is up to you, some got approved using the DS-3025 medical record but also I saw some people having RFEs w/o the i-693

    2. Should the G325A be completed for both myself (beneficiary) and my husband (petitioner)? Or just myself?

    BOTH

    3. As 'supporting documents' for I-864 it seems we are required to have "A copy of your complete Federal income tax return for the last year”. I have Matthews Tax Transcripts and W2’s for the past three years. Are these sufficient? I am not familiar with any other documents or where I can obtain them.

if he already has the 2015, you could attach that too. so it would be tax returns for 2015, 2014, 2013. transcripts are good it shows proof that he DID file for income tax.

  11. hi OP, given the facts that you've stated, if you are are the consular officer would you approve this case?

you've only met two days and both of you already thought 'this is the one.' it's not impossible, but really, how well do you really know this person?

we all know a person can be really different behind a computer or a mobile device, Is 2 days enough for you to say that you could trust this man?

I know and we understand, that maybe you are very excited to come here in the US. But you have to consider your own welfare coming here, like, what if he beat the heck out of you? or what if he's not the person he is suppose to be? what happens to you?

All we are saying is get to know this person enough before you (also) make a decision. the K1 option is always there, dont rush it.

  12. Congrats leisli and happiness268 on your GC!

My Congressman's office informed me that my I-485 application has been ready for interview since April 5, 2016 and is waiting in queue, and that I will get an interview notice when an interview has been scheduled. The online status has not changed at all.

Does this mean that my file has moved from NBC to my field office in Boston?

thank you jayess21! finally doing some job searching now >_<
