  1. Weekends don't count, it has only been 8 days.... you need to be patient.

yeah i am, but im seeing post from facebooks groups that they got their visa in a week after interview. I have no 221gs also. It just makes me wonder.

Did u got any problem with ur interview? Is ur visa pick up or delivery?

Nope. Approved. It has only been 8 business days but it would be nice if i get it earlier.

  2. You only need the confirmation page from the DS-160. The DS-160 is an online form and does not need to be printed out completely, the embassy will access it on their computer with the bar code on the confirmation page. Nowhere in the Philippines forum does anyone ever mention a need to print the complete form out.

    From the instructions letter:

"ONLINE NONIMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION (DS-160) CONFIRMATION PAGE. You must print the DS-160 Confirmation Page that contains the barcode information and bring it to your interview."

yup youre right. sorry what i meant was the appointment conformation page (1st page, from us travel docs) + DS 160 form (1st page) ^_^

  3. yes you have to bring the 1st page of the confirmation page + ds 160 form. if you dont bring the ds-160, the vendors outside of the embassy will take advantage and charge you 160-200php to have it printed. read the consulate reviews (here in visa journey) for more information.

  4. hi OP I've read all the posts on this topic. It is not a joke that you have spent a lot of $$$ towards your fiancee here in the Philippines.
I'm very sorry that you have encountered this type of people who digs money out of foreigners' pockets :(

I think the embassy already informed you what to do with her but please report her to NBI or the local police. So she will have a record and possibly cannot acquire an NBI clearance in the future.

Next time, please take your time to get to know the person you are marrying. there are a lot of kind-hearted people here in the Philippines, but there are also some people who take advantage of foreigners, because they think they have a lot of money.

I don't want to make assumptions of what her work is, but you said you met her and spent 5 days with her and yet both of you decided to be engaged. a huge red flag. she has a son that you haven't spent enough time with. another huge red flag. the previous comments already said that the CO will definitely deny you. Always remember, money doesn't equate to love.

please comply with the requirements about the divorce decrees in the US embassy. when you enter USEM, they staple a paper that has the list of requirements needed, it is written there that you need the divorce decrees. YES, you are right about that being included in Petition, but you STILL have to comply with this requirement.

it is almost always needed in CFO/GCP, a seminar that we ALL filipinos are required to take before immigrating for. if you have no sticker and certificate the immigration officer will refuse you to board the plane. Again this is required. there will be another interview there and if they find your relationship is not bonifide, they will refuse you to have a the cfo sticker w/c immigration officers will look. they are on the watch for fraudulent marriages, I went to CFO oct 22, so this information is fresh. so next time if your doing K1 again, better be prepared.

I hope that you take this exp. positively. Don't blame yourself. We are human, we sometimes fall in love with the wrong person.

  5. I did not wait for the NVC letter because it didnt come, or it wasn't going to come (my interview date is near)

some did their medical a week before their interview date. i did it on oct 8-9, my fiance got my MNL case number by calling NVC and i tracked it via ceac, once it was ready,

I did the payment and scheduled my interview at the embassy and registered online for my medical.

after i did my medical, my fiance(usc) received the letter and an email saying that I should schedule my appointment.

if you are all clear, yes it will take two days. and yes they will give the results in the sealed envelope together with a cd ( do not open this, or tamper this)

i think your fiance can do it in one trip as long as she is physically fit, and has complete papers. but give him/her at least a good week or 2 in manila because I had a fever doing the immunization, she/he might not feel well after the medical.

good luck to your journey ^^

  6. mine is for immigration purposes. i was thinking if i will be needing to get a new one with travel abroad purposes?

did you get a new one? mine also says 'immigration purposes'

i see in your timeline that you already did your interview, are there no rfes in your NBI?

  7. I just checked my NVC status. It's "in transit". Meaning my dumbutt yet again was playing like he had all the time in the world to do the SIMPLEST of tasks....and now...times up! We weren't talking to each other the day we got NOA2. Or more specifically, I wasn't talking to him so that I didn't some extremely nasty things that I don't really mean. August has not been a good month for us. And I'm not entirely sure what to do about that.

catherineA, are you able to check you case status in CEAC already?

How long did it take for you to get your case number from NVC from NOA2? My fiance has been calling NVC since last week :( he hasn't able to connect to an operator. he's starting to get frustrated :(

  8. I'm so upset, sad and feeling very low . I'm praying to God Pl help me for the approval .

yeah me too :( we cant do anything about it but to just helplessly WAIT.

My boyfriend tells me to just chill and don't expect anything.

I'm turning 30 this saturday... so if i received my approval this august it will be just sweet icing on my birthday cake, but then again no expectations *sigh*

on the brighter side: goodluck to everyone, I'm really happy that texas is doing feb now :)

  9. i cant wait praying to happen within the 6 month not more than that like people from january still waiting, truly sometimes i am so hopeful and other so down,

sometimes i wonder people from Philippine gets so fast and other so slow, hope to have it by maximum next week

really because it's NOT about the home country. I just think that there were many philippine approvals before because of the quantity of philippine k-1s.

I dont know what system of approval USCIS use...it is sooo random >_<

  10. i am truly so happy for everyone posts here that they got their approval , that gives me so much hope

mine i dont know in uscis says we received your petition 23 but in the had copy the notice date is 26 of feb, i pry to have mine very soon today is my 167 as per 26 of feb, how i cant wait for the approval, i check uscis like crazy like every 30 minutes , from the application on my tablet or the uscis website itself

we have the same NOA1 date, received date and notice date. Cant wait for our approval. it would be a great birthday present for me >_<

  11. WHEN your fiance is already in the PH, have your visa picture taken in Great images (located at any SM malls). remember the picture must be a RECENT one

print all the docs needed for K1 available at USCIS website sample of forms available in VJ. take note of the expiry dates of the forms.

Our PH passort is only needed. Renew it if it's already near the expiry date.

AGAIN. please do your research everything is already available in the internet. go to ms. presson's blog if you want a detailed walk-through.
    http://www.mrspresson.com/

Please read and don't expect everybody to feed you information. we did it ourselves and I have confidence that YOU CAN DO IT TOO! :)

    goodluck ^^

  12. hi OP i know it's hard hearing the tough advice that everyone is giving you. But please be patient on doing k1.
    There is no easy way.
You have to meet him. Period. That's a requirement.

If you're on a financial hardship, why don't you just hold it first, earn a ticket, meet him somewhere and enjoy your time together as a couple.
Don't rush yourselves getting married, get to know him more. I think that's what people here are trying to say to you.

I know how it feels to do the wait, it's like forever... I have to wait for 5 years for my boyfriend to become a citizen so he could file k1 for me.
If you really love each other you/he will understand that your situation now is not the best for k1, or visitor visa or employment visa.

I know your journey will not be easy but in time you'll realize that it is worth it and at the end you'll appreciate each other more.

  13. not to be rude but please do some research before asking. everything is already in the internet (USCIS website, visa journey), you just have to read it.
if you like a more clearer guide like a walk-through you can go to mrs. pressons blog ( just type it in google).
She's also a filipina and her blog helped me organize our needs for K1.
if your reason is your head hurting because your reading it via phone, maybe you might want to allot time in a net cafe to read and note what you will need.

    goodluck to your journey

  14. hello fellow feb filers. I'm just really curious because I kept on reading those "philippine expedites" on this forum.
Is it really true tho? the flood was sooo in the past and I just think that these so called 'expedites' are not only in the PH.
It could be just a lottery (someone on TSC decided to pick a case from december) and the random person who gets the approval is from the PH,
since PH has a big percentage of K1 filers.

    it is like this...
    random case gets approval:

it's from PH, must be an expedite.
not from PH, oh it must be magic.

bottom line waiting in TSC sucks :( :( :(
