FERGUSON, Mo. – Ferguson police have confirmed that Dorian Johnson, who was with Michael Brown moments before Brown was fatally shot in 2014, was killed Sunday morning in a separate shooting. According to a spokesperson with the Ferguson Police Department, the shooting happened around 8:30 a.m. in the 9600 block of Abaco Court, near Exuma Drive. Officers arrived at the scene and found Dorian Johnson shot multiple times. Johnson later died of his injuries. He was 33. The department spokesperson stressed that police were not involved in the shooting. Johnson became widely known in 2014 as an eyewitness walking alongside Michael Brown before the teen was shot by a Ferguson police officer. His account helped spark protests in Ferguson and nationwide, becoming a symbol of the fight for racial justice. Johnson’s claims that Brown was shot in the back and was attempting to surrender to the officer when he was fatally wounded were ultimately contradicted by several other witness statements and reflected in a March 2015 Justice Department report. more at https://fox2now.com/news/missouri/police-investigate-ferguson-shooting-suspect-leads-identified/

A beloved ex veterinary professor was hacked to death while walking her dog in an Alabama park — the same place where she took her pet to exercise almost every day. The killer stole her truck and fled — but was caught by cops a short distance away the next day. The body of Dr. Julie Gard Schnuelle, 59, a former professor of Large Animal Medicine at Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, was discovered in a wooded area of Kiesel Park in Auburn, on Saturday afternoon. She had driven to the park with her dog in her red Ford F-150 pickup truck. The pup stuck by his owner’s body, and was found unharmed. more at https://nypost.com/2025/09/08/us-news/auburn-vet-prof-julie-schnuelle-hacked-to-death-in-alabama-park/

Migrant children lost under the Biden Administration found dead or working as sex slaves After an estimated 233,000 children who crossed the US-Mexico border alone during President Joe Biden's tenure were lost, law enforcement has started to locate them - only to learn of the horrors they have faced. Since March, the Trump administration has tracked down 22,638 kids, finding some in 'deplorable' conditions, dead and others being used as sex slaves, officials told Fox News. At least 27 of those lost children have been confirmed dead, with causes of death ranging from murder, suicide, car accidents or drug overdoses. In some cases, the adults the kids were released to-- called sponsors-- were not DNA tested ensure they were actually related. In other cases, the addresses where the kids were being taken to were not verified to make sure the child was actually living there. Under the current administration, DNA testing is a requirement, as is proof of income, criminal background checks, fingerprinting and identification verification. more at https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-15070729/Migrant-children-Biden-dead-sex-slaves.html -

CHICAGO - An unusual discovery was made along the Chicago River, stemming from a cold case investigation that dates back to 1970. An independent dive team using sonar technology to search for a couple who disappeared decades ago instead found dozens of submerged vehicles. What we know: When the Chaos Divers arrived at the Richard J. Daley Boat Launch on the city's Lower West Side, they were looking for clues that could help solve the mysterious disappearance of Edward and Stephania Andrews dating back to 1970. In search of one car in particular, they found not one, not two, not even three cars — but 97 vehicles between Cicero Avenue and Diversey Parkway in the Chicago River. more at https://www.fox32chicago.com/news/chicago-river-search-cold-case-couple-turns-up-91-vehicles

Three-year TBI investigation concludes McNairy County Sheriff Buford Pusser, immortalized in the movie 'Walking Tall,' likely killed his wife Pauline Pusser and staged the 1967 crime scene. MARTIN, Tenn. (WTVF) — A decades-old cold case investigation has concluded with shocking findings about one of Tennessee's most famous lawmen: legendary McNairy County Sheriff Buford Pusser likely murdered his wife in 1967, investigators say. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and a local District Attorney's office announced the conclusion of their three-year investigation into the death of Pauline Mullins Pusser, whose body was exhumed and autopsied after her 1967 death went unsolved for decades. "Events did not occur as stated by Buford Pusser and that Pauline Pusser was more likely than not shot outside the vehicle and then placed inside the vehicle," said Mark Davidson, District Attorney General for the 25th Judicial District in a news conference held at the University of Tennessee at Martin. The investigation found that Pusser's gunshot wound was likely self-inflicted, contradicting his original account of the incident. more at https://www.newschannel5.com/news/investigators-say-they-found-probable-cause-that-legendary-sheriff-buford-pusser-murdered-his-wife-pauline
