does anyone know what the ELIGIBILITY DOCUMENT is that I received a 'J' on my interview letter for?

yeh its just basically your canadian passport - its basically like what proof do you have that you are eligible to apply from canada. Its really confusing I had to ring NVC and that is what they said and that it confuses people a lot!

I register my appointment online and select the courier location

Guys When NVC send the case to US embassy abroad how long it takes. My Status still saying at NVC should i call and ask them when they going to send it. I need to register my visa appointment online.

not long if its in canada - i received letter on 20th May and I registered the interview on the 22nd. Can you register online for the interview?

Guys just curious i got an email notification and interview packet on email. I am going for medical on thursday June 11 so i am wondering is the email notification is good enough to show the doctor that they schedule my interview on July 9, 2015

yeh so print the appt letter which is attached in the email notification that nvc sent you and take that with you. you just need the first page.

I got everything via email not post. even though i didnt register for EP.

I went picked it up. Ask them when you go for yours if they can courier it...I just wanted to physically have it in my hand lol.

I was worried they wouldn't have it ready in time. I am actually leaving for Ottawa on Friday this week and going to stay at my uncles house - then go to Montreal from there on Tuesday and my husband is giving me a "mock" interview tonight LOL!

Hi Folks i was just wondering if i don't get an email notification by next week from NVC so i have to cancel my medical which is June 11 and rescheduled once i get the email notification because the doctor like to see the interview letter from NVC.

you should get it before then...when did you call? It will probably be with you early next week. Maybe try calling NVC early on Monday and just double check.

I just want to say Im very impressed that NVC called to make sure that I did my medical and that I have all my papers ready for the interview.. wow things are really improving..

Yeh know right?! that was really nice...I got worried when i Saw that it said from new hampshire i thought it was going to be something bad like something was missing but thank god they were just calling to double check i was attending!

just got a pleasant call from Rose at NVC to confirm my appointment and time, have i done my medical and have I registered for Loomis.

so nice. Wow time is so near!!! I am freaking out.

I am awaiting for an interview date, even though my CC is May 12. Can you let me know what your "priority date" is? Mine is Feb 23 and I am curious if that is why I haven't gotten an interview yet despite having the same CC.

I don't think IR1 and CR1 have priority dates because all those visas are available and given priority. Maybe dwheels can shed light?? Just keep on NVC and keep calling....everytime i did..things progressed with my case file a few days later.

HI GUYS JUST CURIOUS HOW LONG IT TAKES TO GET A CONFIRMATION EMAIL FROM NVC ABOUT THE INTERVIEW. I CALLED NVC THIS MORNING THEY SAID IT TAKES FEW DAYS SO I AM JUST WONDERING HOW MANY DAYS IT TAKE. I SCHEDULE MY MEDICAL NEXT WEEK JUNE 11 SO I AM HOPING TO GET IT BEFORE THAT.

I got the email confirmation a few days after. So maybe by the end of the week...they usually send it in the morning around 8am is.

Zirq do you know the likelihood of getting an earlier interview date once you register your interview?

I have no idea sorry! ...I just stuck to the date they gave me. I think Christina mentioned that once your register the interview online you can contact the consulate directly to request date change..I guess that would depend if anyone before you has cancelled. dwheels has a sample email on the first post of this thread that you can use.

Just have a question when you register your appointment online they ask your passport number, case number and ds 260 number. What is ds 260 number is it a invoice number.

the DS-260 confirmation that you filled out and printed and need for the interview (go to CEAC and print it if you haven't already)- it has two barcodes one is your case number (left) and the other barcode on the right is your DS260 confirmation number. Put that in. Then all your details for your interview will come up.

$15 for the bloodwork

$50 for the X-ray

And results issued 10 working days. You should be able to book online for the interview once you get confirmation via email with your interview letter. I did it a couple of days after I received it.

Hi Canadiangirl, just curious, about to schedule my medicals too. Do you know if the medicals are ready within a few days? I kind of would like to pick them up while I am in Toronto. I don't live there, so i will probably take the train or drive. Thank you!

FYI I had my medical with Dr Randal Tell 27th May - they told me that it would take 10 working days for results to come back - best to call the other two places and check with them.

I know that Montreal one is ready within 3 - 4 days so if you want you can call them and maybe go montreal a little early? its near the consulate as well.

that's what I'm thinking too.... I'll call all three Toronto doc's first thing in the morning and see who I can get to first......

The NVC to Embassy trek the paperwork is about to take.... if they just gave us the verbal confirmation today, what kind of time frame before they send them out? I've been watching the DHL shipping and there is a package going to MTL daily! LOL Is this where we start checking CEAC for "in transit".....

it shouldn't take long a day or so i registered on the US Montreal site about 2 days after I received the interview letter and from there you can change your interview and register for Loomis as well.

I got my interview date on the phone July 9, 2015 they will send me the email in few days.

Congrats thats awesome news. Make sure you book your medical in time. I went to Dr Randall T Lee - they take about 10 days for the reports to come back from the bloodwork and the X-ray. Only thing is you have to go to his office for physical exam, somewhere else for the blood work and then another place for the X-ray - mission for me coz i don't have a car but if you do then its all good. He was really nice.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I joined this forum because i felt I could use the support...has anyone found this process to be emotionally draining? I am finding myself crying weekly because i just want to be with my husband and start life with him and start a family with him. Why does this process have to drag on so ridiculously long? It's defeating. But on the positive side, we're onto the last step and sure hope we get an interview date this week.

Hey Chanteuse - i feel ya. I am in the same boat except i was lucky to make a June interview - that time away from the hubby and emotions rising high. Its a horrible feeling because you are in limbo and feel you can't really move on with your life because of this one thing. Praying you get an interview soon. You have gotten this far...its just the final stretch...all the headache will be worth it when they say APPROVED!!

I've been keeping an eye on various threads... looks like there are about 6 of us (self included) with CC's in the later half of May waiting..... still hoping to hear soon

My youngest is turning 7 on Wednesday.... I've kinda been thinking/hoping it'd be a nice bday present from nvc to give us an interview date either tuesday or wednesday.... everything on my end is on hold pending the unknown....

Though we're keeping busy with packing and purging.... I'm out of my rental the end of this month and we'll be staying with my dad between July 1 and POE ((he's excited to get to spend that extra time with his grand babies, and me "the granddaughters personal taxi driver" LOL))

aww the not knowing...is the hardest. But hoping the move goes smoothly. am just hoping my medical results come back before I leave on 12th...Im staying with family in ottawa for a few days...and am hoping they approve me swiftly as its my bday on 15th June and it would be a nice bday present to receive on the 17th!!!

I got my CC same day as you. The interview letter i received on 20th May by email but its dated 15th May. Hope you get yours soon! I would ring up NVC and maybe ask them. Call regularly. Best time is 7AM in the morning try get in there first.

Medical completed today with Dr Randall T Lee - really nice doc...he was like....im glad all your vaccinations are up to date less work for me! I made sure I was up to date at the beginning of the year.

So now wait 10 days to pick up results and off to Montreal I go....wow it all seems so surreal.

so every time i read a consulate review for montreal my paranoia decides to kick in before my interview...

- I have some pictures from when my husband visited me he basically comes every 4-6 weeks

- our india trip together for his younger brothers wedding- and the boarding passes included for that

-a whole 90 page Skype log call we speak pretty much everyday

- And an old navy receipt of when I bought him a t-shirt as a gift

- a receipt for when he bought me some relationship coupons and a customised mug.

is this enough evidence to show the legitimacy of our relationship?

**sigh** just got off the phone with NVC.... no interview date (yet)
