  1. For anyone who said they received text/e-mail when their status changed to approvals/interview ready... did you guys sign up on the USCIS website to receive them, or are these still updates being received via text/e-mail because of the form sent with your AOS packet? Because I filled out that form and did get all the initial texts/e-mails and was wondering if checking the USCIS website was even worth it if I'm going to be notified when it changes anyways.

I signed up on the USCIS website and I have been getting updates from there. You can sign up to get notifications or just check using your case number.

  2. Great news! I thought it was an April Fools joke, but I just got an email that my wife's cases were updated. The status for EAD says "Case Terminated Benefit Received by Other Means". Her AOS status says "New Card is Being Produced".

I can only assume her AOS has been approved without an interview!!! (and much much faster than we thought)

No way!!! That is so great!!! Congrats.

  3. I had my biometrics appointment of March 23rd in Philadelphia. Today I got an email for Application Type: I765, APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION. It states that my case has been transferred

to another office for processing and sent you a transfer notice. The notice explains why we transferred your case.

    I wonder what it means!

First I heard of in the February fillers. Let us know more when you get the letter.

  4. I just ignored the joint sponsor part and re-sent the correctly filled I-864.

I assumed that because I had left part 4 blank, it generated the joint sponsor part.

They already received my response, so I'll let you know what they say.

By the way I really did leave a part blank, it was at the bottom of the page where they ask for the name. I don't understand why they would send it when you filled it out correctly.

  5. MASH, how did biometrics go? We tried to go to the DMV today to get a permit, but apparently, they didn't accept the I797 NOA1 as evidence, even though it says on the website that they do! The majority of my interactions with people that work for the state show that they're incompetent and lazy. We have to go back AGAIN to do this. So frustrating.

They only accept the approved I797, so I think it's the NOA2. They should accept the EAD though.

  6. Hey everybody

I am February filer like most of you. I had done my biomectric on the March 9, 2016 and the USCIS online status change to "case ready to schedule for interview" on the March 19, 2016. Earlier this morning i just saw that the status change again to 'Interview is scheduled :dancing::dancing::dancing: . My interview is schedule on the May 2, 2016. Anyway we are applying AOS for K1 visa. I pray everyone of you will got a good news too.

Great!! Our time is coming. Best of luck and let us know about your interview.

  7. We don't have one either and it would be difficult to get one honestly. He already asked his mother and his stepfather but they seem to be hesitant for some reasons.. ugh

And I don't feel like we need to obtain a joint-sponsor when we are way above the poverty guideline.

I will resent the same paperwork that we already did with everything that we possible can:

    form i864

IRS tax transcript for 2014 tax year (filing jointly)

my W-2s for last 5 years from working for State of Texas.

Extension form filed with IRS stating that our paperwork is not done yet and we asked IRS for an extension to file 2015 tax return (automatic extension for 6 months)

Self-employment loss and profit statement form Quickbooks (need to be done by me, ugh) for 2015 ans beginning of 2016

Husband's Bank statement (deposits only- has been sent already) for last 12 months

My bank statement for last 12 months

My pay-stubs for last 6 months

assets: (even though we don't need them but still)

Car titles (7 in my husband's name, 1 mine, 2 co-owned) in my husband's and my name.

    KBB value of the cars

possible 1099-misc for 2016 from his employer (sub contractor)

employment letter from his employer for 2016 (current income)

If that's not enough, I don't know what could possibly be needed then... :ranting::ranting::ranting:

They didn't even say we need one they said that I had indicated I have a joint sponsor which I do not (talk about confusing).

Seems to me you sent more than enough, I'm sorry you're going through this.

Now I'm afraid I'll get another one.

    Please keep us posted.

  8. well just received our RFE in the mail and there is nothing specific in it as usual... ;(

But our income meets all the requirements, the only thing is that I forgot to include my W-2 from lawful source but my husband meets the poverty guideline with his own income and it shouldn't be a big deal at all.

Mine was also asking for the joint sponsor's documents, but we don't have one.

I just re-filled the form and sent it.

These rfe's don't make much sense. I'll let you know what happens.

  9. I feel like the speed depends on what type of visa you came in on. It seems the people who's timelines say "other visa" rather than a K1 for instance, get priority. Which is not to take away from Simon because that's amazing news, more so for myself to not get too excited haha. I seriously hope I'm wrong though.

I have noticed that too, however I believe that only k1's can get their card without doing an interview.
  10. Hi everyone, just an update on my AOS timeline. NOA for I-485, I-765 and I-131 were all on Feb 10th. Biometrics letter on Feb 20th and I did my biometrics on appointment date Mar 8th.

On the USCIS website my I-485 case has been updated (as of Mar 16th) to say "Case is ready to be scheduled for a interview" but no update on EAD/AP yet. Also no letter yet with interview date.

It's good that my case is being worked on I guess, but it could still be some time before I receive any cards or even have the interview.

That's great!!! Let us know when you get the interview letter.
