  1. happy for you iPod!!!!!!!!

I hope everything with my "expired medical" works out... I wish i just did a new medical and sent it to them rather than follow the instructions of the officer i talked to and mail a letter saying it can't be expired.. I'm hoping to intercept the package so we will see.. The tracking hasn't updated since yesterday but it is estimated to be delivered tomorrow. Whether that is to my address or uscis I do not know.

Anyway, all the best for the interview :) :)

    Thank you so much!

I hope it works out for you.

Just to let you know, once I sent it the reply to the last RFIE, it took them only 2.5 weeks to send me the interview notice. Hopefully it goes as fast for you. Trust me, I know how stressful and doubtful RFIE's can be. I kept thinking that maybe I forgot something or didn't send them what they wanted.

I will keep an eye out for you to see how your progress goes.

    That is great news!!!

I wish nothing but good vibes at the day of ur interview ;)

Thanks so much Mash. I hope yours goes great as well, but I know you guys will be fine. :)

  2. Shoobi

Pretty sure that's an error on their part, call abd get it cleared up.

Just had a look st your timeline and see the reason for the RFE... I was caught out for the exact same reason! If only they would warn you in the I-864 instruction manual !

Wasted 2 weeks already from the time they stopped working on my case. No guarantees in when they will pick it up again and when I might get indication they received it.

Your new issue should jud be a matter of time to sort.

I also got the same RFIE and I also wish they warned us.

It looks like when I sent back RFIE's (I got 2), they started working on it pretty fast because for the first one I got a second one about a week later, and for the second one, I got my AP approval a week later.

I got an update on my case 2 days after they got the reply, so it should be coming soon for you. :)

  3. OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!!!

just checked the mail and i got my approval for EAD/AP

this is so amazing , visajourney was right lol

its weird that the site is not updating properlly as the letter i got said i was approved for both on may 4th so i recommend to people who has not got the letter yet to just wait for it to come in the mail :)

Great!!! You can get a job and move out. I hope you find a job really soon.

My online status also never changed. Supposedly my case has not been touched since February 16, but I got the approval letter for my I-131 last week.

  4. Yay congrats!!! :star::star:

I think that after their system update or maitenance nobody has been receiving notifications from uscis, I can't access my account now, they apparently blocked it because I had attempted too many times to access it with the incorrect information?? which I never did since I know my password and user name very well, and only my husband and I live in the house and he spends the whole day at work so nobody has access to my laptop except for me. Is there anyone else having the same issue??

The same thing happened to me. It's not the first time either. Just reset your password and it will work again.

  5. Well, I finally got some good news. :dancing:

I just got a physical NOA for my AP !!!

I was sure I was going to get another RFE for it since I did not include the passport pictures, but I guess they'll use the one from biometrics.

The USCIS case status was never updated, so this came as a surprise. The letter is dated April 28, so they have not updated their website in a while.

Since the case status was never updated, maybe I'll get a surprise interview letter too (hoping for soon).

  6. okay i am home now...

    short review:

our appointment was scheduled for 12:15 pm - as some people told us we should arrive early (as security check might take a while) we took an uber and have been out there at 10:45.

as we arrived at the room the lady asked when our appointment was and we told her - she said "oh you guys are early, let me check his schedule so I can see if I should send you to lunch first"

she came back and said all good, you will be next.

took around 30 minutes as he called my name. The guy was mid 40s no uniform or so.

he first swore us in and then got over our papers.

our case was a little complicated as we had an approved i-129f from 2013 (long story short we broke up and got back together last year).

he asked for the reasons and why we got back together. I had a feel he kinda liked our story and i got less nervous. he then asked if all details are correct, if we live at the same place..

then asked if we have any more proof that we want to submit - i took out our folder and he was amazed how prepared we were.

i had some invoices from our cats vet with me (in both names) and he asked some questions about her.

in the end he took out a paper which confirmed the approval and said you guys are good :)

all in all i kinda liked it :)

Thanks for sharing and congratulation again!!!

  7. Nope. Nada. I'm in a more specific situation than the rest of you guys I think. This EAD approving process is taking longer than I expected this time around. I already have a EAD card from my OPT via F1 visa and it only took 75ish days.

EDIT: Actually now that you got me wondering, does a RFIE/RFE notice show up in your online myUSCIS account? Under "Case History". I'm seriously hoping I didn't miss a RFIE mail.

Yes you will get an online notice if you get a RFIE/RFE.

  8. Sweet hallelujah!!!! I just got texts/emails from USCIS that my EAD and AP have been approved. Got the EAD text/email then an hour later the AP. This means I can attend my bachlorette in Toronto and I don't need to have it moved to Buffalo.

MOST OF ALL I can attend my wedding ceremony in July stress free! This makes up for all the stress of having to miss the ceremony. I am just so happy. When I got our RFIE I was so upset and today I am just relieved. Thanks for all the good vibes and moral support on VJ - I don't know what I would have done.

I also just had recruiter submit my resume for a job! Super excited. Just to happy and sending all my good vibes to you all!

I guess the RFIE didn't delay your application too much.

  9. IPod - sad to hear that you got another RFIE. I guess it's good that they're working on your file. I hope they get your approvals quickly.

I sent in my information to USCIS and now I am waiting. I really need that AP card by June 8th or my stag is going to be moved to Buffalo...LOL.

    Adjustment of Status Timeline

    Feb 11th, 2016 - Mailed

    Feb 16th 2016: NOA1 text/email

    Feb 22nd, 2016: NOA1 hard copies

    March. 3rd 2016: Biometrics letter

    March 17 2016: Biometrics done

Mar. 29th, 2016: RFIE text/email (For I-864, we filled in household size incorrectly and they wanted a 1040 from 2014 or 2015)

April 4th 2016: RFIE hard copy

April 6th 2016: RFIE response sent

April 8th 2016: Response to RFIE was received text/email sent

That must mean that as soon as they got the document, they started working on it. I hope the same for you (and no more RFE!!!).
