Yayy. What is our field office?
Los Angeles downtown.

I randomly checked my account this morning and there was nothing new. About an hour later I got an email saying that my interview was scheduled!!! It will be on June 4th, so pretty close to the original estimate of May. I cannot wait to be done with the interview!!

How many of you haven’t even gotten the biometric reuse letter? I haven’t but I see most of you did
Nothing here either.

Biometrics reuse letter sent on 2/1.
Filed 9/8 online, Los Angeles CA local office.
Great! Which office (downtown or Chatsworth)?

Well, after I nagged them for a biometrics appointment via the inbox on my online account, things started happening real fast.
I sent them a message mid-december asking for a biometrics appointment. 2-3 weeks later they scheduled me for biometrics. The actual appointment was on January 27, and already today, on February 1st, they scheduled my interview.
That's great!! Congrats!

Saw two people who are Los Angeles filers (not sure if it's LA or LAC) on Facebook who filed in July 2020 who got their interview letters now in the end on January, for March appointments. And one who filed in February 2020.
Must be a massive mess at the field offices since they're scheduling people who filed mid 2020 while there are tons of people from early in 2020 (and even late 2019) who are still waiting, many who haven't even received a biometrics appintment.
I have given up trying to understand the order they process the cases 😄

Los Angeles County field office here, estimated completion time has been February 2021 since I filed in May 2020, always knew this was not accurate whatsoever and didn't expect to receive an interview before July 2021 AT LEAST.
Yesterday after receiving my "biometrics appointment has been scheduled" status the case completion date changed to September 2021, which sounds a lot more accurate. Seems like my case is back on track.
I applied in September and since the receipt notice, nothing. My completion date was March 2021, it then changed to June, and then to July. I see you applied in May and are now just getting a biometrics letter, so I don't have much hope of getting mine soon. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Any luck for California filers?
No. Still no biometrics letter or anything else except for the receipt.
-
My date also changed to July 2021! No biometrics letter either.

Nothing here either (except for the receipt notice).
I just noticed that my estimated case completion date has now increased to June 2021 (it was May at the beginning).

wow,, that is good,
is weird, coz i didn't see any estimated time, idk why
I don't know why you can't see it either. My account got locked, so now I also cannot see it either, and I'm waiting for USCIS to finally call me. That's what it said at the time I filled. We'll see if it really is done by May.

I just filed back in September. The estimated completion date is May 2021. We'll see!

D last time I had a biometrics with uscis was 2015. I got a letter stating it will be reused.
Good to know! Mine was in 2016, I was sure they would have me re-do them.

I applied online on September 25, and I'm getting my NOA today (Oct. 3rd).
-
I also got the :
Estimated wait time:
We are taking longer than expected to process your case. You do not need to do anything at this time.
It used to say 2 days.

Oh wow, that's quick! when did you apply? also yay!
I applied on September 25th, now I'm thinking it's a mistake?? I will update when/if I get my biometrics letter.
-
Does anyone know what that estimated wait time box is on the my.uscis.gov website?
Mine says 1 day, so I'm assuming it's for the biometrics, but I'm not sure.

Quick question for my fellow online filers: immediately after submitting the application we were emailed a payment receipt with a case number. This isn't the NOA, correct? And will the NOA be emailed or sent in the mail?
I'm also wondering about biometrics. My husband had his biometrics taken in October of last year for ROC. I know a lot of ROC cases got their biometrics waived in light of COVID but I'm not sure if it will be the same for N-400.
I don't know about the biometrics, but they have been waiving them for a while. I didn't have to go back for my ROC and that was much before Covid (2018). I can't image they would re-use mine since they are from 2016, but we'll see.

I will be applying soon as I also want to apply before the fees go up. I have been eligible to apply for a while, I just never got around to it. It seems it's going to be a long wait, 12 to 21 months at the Los Angeles field office 😲
Good luck everyone.

california here and given biometrics in may 2019 and no reply since then.
extension letter till sep 2019 so like 2 months more.
applied naturalization july first week and got bio metrics appointment in two weeks.
are you sure that we are still in legal status even if extension letter expires ?
Yes you still have legal status. It does not change until USCIS makes a decision. If you're worried, get the I551 stamp in your passport.
Good luck to all who are still waiting! Hope things speed up very soon for you.
