Hey fellow journeyers,
Our co sponsor is married but makes above 125% of the poverty line with her own income. Does she still need to have her husband fill a I864 too?
Also does she includes her kids and husband as dependents in the form? (Kids are really young and husband is employed)
We are all a bit confused now, sorry if those are rookie questions

As per the GOP website:
The family is the bedrock of our nation. When American families flourish, so too does our country.
Not sure cheating on your spouse makes your family flourish but what do I know.
I think the story is a bit inflated, if he cheated on his wife it's him and Melania's issue. Cheating is douchey but doesn't make him an unfit president (plenty of past examples).
As a new comer to American politics it's funny in a twisted way to see conservatives (self proclaimed family values guys) get embroiled in cheating affairs like Trump or Greitens.
Trump will sail smoothly out of that soon (if his staff can contain a potential tweet out burst haha)
-
It would be interesting for the GOP to learn why voters switched sides after about a year of presidency.

Number 1 is an opinion piece, not a factual report...
As the NYT says on its own website:
The list is off to a good start.
I'm surprised Fox News didn't get a spot for its Seth Rich fiasco.

Is there anything in Justice or Immigration that is either quick or immediate?
I'm just saying the title of the article is misleading, nothing more.

Not sure anyone is expecting instant justice, but at least a step in the right direction.
The thread title is much more dramatic than the actual situation, so maybe people are expecting a quick justice.

Pretty close.
About time they were held accountable.
Not really, there's quite a few steps between considering charges and charging someone.
You probably won't see convictions for a good while.

The title of the article is misleading.
The first paragraph says :
"Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen confirmed Tuesday that her department has asked federal prosecutors to see if they can lodge criminal charges against sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with federal deportation efforts"
Not quite the same thing as preparing to arrest/ charging people.

No need to worry. it is a courtesy email. However, please be aware that there is a mandatory 1 year requirement that you will need to get in touch with NVC via phone or email in order to keep your case active. otherwise, it will be considered that you abundant the case and it will be closed and you will have to do the process all over again. Also, you can submit the payments as needed and submit documents whenever you are ready.
Thanks for your answer!

Hello all,
We received an email from NVC with that title asking us to pay fees submit documents etc... We haven't submitted our documents yet so we are a little surprised. Should we be worried?
We had an issue with the cosponsor (we live abroad) so we are figuring that out. I thought we had about a year since petition approval to send the docs to NVC ?

Not anymore foolish than the mainstream left wing media looks like on a daily basis, but what else is new.
That's not the point of the article. Wether you like it or not WaPo displayed good journalism and PV took a loosy short cut. It is now a documented fact.
Does that mean left wing media is never to be blamed? Hell no.
Like anything you've go good left wing media outlets and bad ones. Same apply to the conservative media outlets.
America is so far down in partisanship everyone has to make it about their "tribe".
Good journalism? Lets be offended anyways because they can't be good, they're liberal/conservative.
Sad!

I think you missed the point of the exercise. They were trying to sting WaPo, not Moore.
You misunderstood what I said.
IDWAF said something about the left ruining a man's career, I didn't see how that was relevant to the WaPo exposing project veritas little stunt. I don't know how it can be blamed on the left. Poor plan, poor execution, now they look like fools. They put themselves in that hole alone. No big deal they'll recover.

Will the left stop at nothing to try and ruin a man’s career?
What do you mean? (Right wing) Project veritas played a stupid game and are getting ousted now. Can't blame the left.

They aren't pushing for a "common vision for defense matters", they are pushing to create an EU army, which is exactly what you said would be the first step in process of removing sovereignty.
You said any country could "freely leave", but that isn't the reality of the EU, and the Britain situation clearly demonstrates it.
The Franco-German brigade has existed for years, France and Germany are still independent.
I said freely leave in the sense that any country can decide to leave the Union on their own accord without being forced by Brussels to stay. I didn't say it was simple. When joining the EU the UK agreed to mingle some of its institutions with the EU, now they have to unmingle those. Can't act surprised here that was to be expected.
If you understood freely as in it doesn't cost money, the UK was entitled to subsidies that they will now loose. So it will cost money but they knew that when starting Brexit, can't paint that as a low blow by the EU either .

Looks like they have already started doing just that -

As far as any EU country "freely leaving the Union", it sure doesn't sound like the EU is letting Britain leave "freely" -

A common vision for defense matters is entirely different from stripping countries from their sovereignty. (See NATO)
You wouldn't expect the EU to keep paying subsidies for the UK do you? For example the British farmers greatly enjoyed Brussels subsidies (common agricultural policies). Now that the UK is leaving that money is gone. It's part of the bill but they chosed that path, can't complain about that now.

They already have separate Schengen and non-Schengen countries in the EU and those zones do dictate travel requirements differently. For example, as an American, you can stay I believe 90 days or thereabouts in any combination of the Schengen countries during a 6 month period. So, you couldn't let's say, spend 90 days in Denmark and then move on to Germany and spend more time. But, you might have different time limits if you then decided to travel to the UK, a non-Schengen country.
I'd hardly call EU governments sovereign at this point since they have limited abilities to enforce their own laws and borders, a critical part of being sovereign.
I think they pay attention to that at the border now. Spending 90 days in the Schengen space then going to the UK for a few days doesn't reset the timer.
Do you have something to back up your lack of sovereignty claim?
Any EU country can freely leave the Union (cue the UK ) if the EU govs weren't sovereign they wouldn't be able to do that.
Every Euro country has still its own military (that is procured according to individual countries needs) , if the EU was so hard bent in stripping us from our sovereignty they'd have started with that surely.
The members of the Union joined freely it's not like there was a military take over...

like trump's twitter, i'd say a big chunk of The_Donald sub reddit subscribers are bots. https://www.reddit.com/r/EnoughTrumpSpam/comments/56808h/an_estimated_92_of_the_donald_subscribers_are/
also, those lads are most certainly enthralled with trump's cult of personality. they're just too young and lacking in real life experience to realize it.
Yeah, that sub is the place to be edgy without taking any risks.

If you go the The_Donald sub reddit he's referred to as God emperor Trump. Those lads are not your average trump supporters I would say but they still count as supporters.
Edit: that sub reddit has over 500,000 subscribers

Hello all,
Is it ok to send a copy of the cosponsor I864 for the NVC? (We plan to have the original for the interview)
Thanks for your help!

Hey guys,
Our application was received by the NVC and in the checklist they ask for a photocopy of the passport. I'm gonna renew my passport in the coming weeks, can I still send the copy of the soon to be old one? (It will still be valid) and just go for the interview with the new one? Or it's better to do it all with the same passport?
Thanks for your answers

Can't wait for Trump tweet response. Too bad it's too early for popcorn.
