Hi Everyone,
Just to share our update. Hubby and I went to interview yesterday. Thank God we got a super friendly lady. She made jokes with us and all. Only question she asked was How did you guys meet. And she asked if we had any other proofs like documents or pictures. We brought 2 picture albums with us, we gave them to her, she took the time to look at all pictures in both albums, then she started typing and said " I am ordering your new card" She then told us about ROC and said to gather all docs and proofs. She did not look at anything I prepared in our binder that I put together. Also, she did NOT take my hubby EAD/AP card nor did she asked to see it. Only thing she asked to see was his license and Passport, she did take his I-94 and that was it. She said we should get the card within 8-10 business days
Now, i kept checking our status online and it still says "Interview schedules" it has not changed yet. Is that normal, how long does it usually take, for those who have been to interviews?? and how long did it take to get the actual card in the mail?? Is it normal also that hubby still has his EAD/AP card??

As an update, finally got hubby's EAD/AP combo card today from the new tenants of our old address, thank God!!

It clearly states on their website that if you don't have a response within 75 days you should submit a Service request. It's all right here: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/tip-sheet-employment-authorization-applications-pending-more-75-days
So to answer your question, yes the reason my husband and I submit the request is to have an approval and many approvals have come the very next day, it doesn't cost anything to try so we definitely will if that will bring attention to the case so it gets approved. Plus as many people here stated, it did not take 90 days for most to be approved. My husband wants to work and we definitely need the financial support so inquiring about our case because we have not heard anything in 78 days is certainly understandable.

Thanks TBone, I actually saw a previous post of yours stating as such and we started doing just that, like utility bills and bank letters, plane tickets and else, put them all in a folder and we'll keep it growing . That will save us a lot of headache for then

Finally mailed our paperwork for AOS,EAD,AP today the waiting begins again. Good luck everyone

I understand what you went thru and even it is not easy.Sometimes it is so hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel I've asked that question a lot of places but many people just ignore it and does not even bother. I appreciate the support you provide on this thread and trust many people, like me, feel much better reading posts like yours.

OMG, we are FINALLY out of AP! after 25 days!! and cdneh, Thank you so much again for your kind words, I plan on staying here as well to help someone else just like you help me In the meantime, off to the next headache which is to get packet 3 from the embassy. I am praying for the day where we will finally get or approval, I am sure it will be worth it at the end.

this process brings a roller coaster of emotions. It's been 4 weeks for me now, exactly 25 days today and crying doesn't help either Good luck to us
