  • Our Story
Hello, I am writing to share my experiences. My husband is the one applying for a green card.Interview date: 04/16/2015Location: St Louis, MOWe arrived there a little bit early, however, we only needed to wait for 10 mins before the interview called my last name. She's old (late 50s) and mean. She took us to her room, requested us to show my husband passport and my ID, and ask us swearing to tell the truth and only truth. Because of getting flu so she asked us to sit far close to the wall (about 3 feets from her desk). Then, she asked some kinds of basic questions:1. How did you meet?2. After the 1st meet, then what did you do next?3. Do you see your wife's parent often?4. What's your address now?5. How did you get marriage?6. Did you travel a lot? That is all, then, she use her "stamp-box" to stamp on the yellow paper (which she used to write down everything we said) and also the I-864 form, I-485 form. Next, she explained to us about the GC condition and how important to renew it before it expires. She asked us to signed on the paper which confirmed we had heard and understand the GC condition. Then she stamped on that paper. Then, she asked my husband YES/NO question on I-485 form. After that, she asked us about the evidences. We gave her:1. Joint bank accounts (2 different bank)2. Auto insurance3. Air tickets, hotel reservation, movie ticket, shows ticket.4. Pictures. She laughed when she saw the picture that I look funny when I drew a bunny on my husband's face when he slept. She took random picture and ask us where was that. That's it. She quickly glanced to other evidences and she said everything look OK now. We asked if our case was approved. She said: "I did not say anything about the approve but you will receive my decision and the status update in two weeks." And then she escorted us to the waiting room with a big smile and call other people. The interview took only 15 mins, relaxed and painless. Note: My husband I-94 is electronic so he just printed it out from the CPB site but she kept the copy of it. Besides that, she did not give us any letter or paper state that our case is being held and under review liked other people. We believe that the interview was really well because all the answers were cleared and she looked satisfied with our answer, she even made a joke on some of them.
