    It doesn't have to be terribly formal. Here is a suggestion...
    To Whom It May Concern:
    I am <name>, and I am the sponsor for <LJSant and spouse>. I am <describe the relationship...family? good friend?> to the couple who are in the process of moving to the United States from <foreign country>. Since the couple will be re-establishing residency, and that may take a few weeks, I am welcoming them in my home at <address> for the short term. While they are here, they will be looking for a place to live and finding employment.
    In order for them to save money during this time, I am not charging them rent.
    I am looking forward to their arrival, as soon as <name's> visa is issued!
    Sincerely,
    <Name of Sponsor>
    Hope this is helpful!

    Doesn't have to be anything formal just a Who they are the address if they want to say you paying rent great not needed. I have seen some go to the office supply store and get a lease document and just fill that in.

    LOL. Too funny. Someone said once at their interview in Lagos they said "Dwheels76 said I am approved". The CO laughed and said "We know dwheels76 and we agree". Like I have rep. haha

    Lol isn't the 3 n/a's one of the most exciting steps in the process? lol my wife and I felt like we had won the lottery lollll!Someone above asked about emails...we got the confirmed CC (via 3 n/a's + confirmation through NVC via phone the day after) on Dec 29 and received the confirmation email of CC on Jan 5. Still no paper letter for CC nor any email for interview scheduled date.

    Hi there! Well, i'm the type of person that goes by the quote "better to be safe, than sorry". So, at the interview I had all the documents that I have previously sent to NVC, including ALL the financial documents, with i-864 in original and not a copy.
    In my case though, they didn't ask for any financial document. Nothing at all! I'm not sure though how it is for your embassy but my advice would be to have at least an i-864 in original and the latest IRS Transcripts. Just in case. It's up to you I guess, but as I said at the beginning it's better to be safe than sorry. In the end it'll all be worth it, cause you'll get to be with your other half. So a lil bit of fuss might go a long way
    Good luck!

    To everyone who fills out the forms (first thank you) but if you are having errors or issues please let me know here or PM me. Seems someone jacked up the form real bad and had to call out the cavalry (Saylin) to help me fix the mess.
    Last day of the year. Everyone have a blessed, safe Happy New Year. 2016 is the year of reunions and finally being together. YAY.

    They'll send it to the embassy about two weeks before your interview. About a week before your interview, you'll get a letter from the embassy with what kind of things they want you to bring to the interview.

    OMG! OMG! I'm so happy right now!!! I didn't think it would be possible, but guess I got really lucky!!!
    Yesterday, I sent an email to the embassy, requesting a reschedule of my interview to an earlier date! I just told them that this distance between my husband and I has been taking its toll on us and that I really miss him. Also, that I'm eager to start a normal life, as husband and wife!
    They called me today!!! They re-scheduled my interview for the 28th of December!!! The lady was so nice She asked me why I want to do my interview earlier, do I have already my flight tickets or something? And I told her it's not that, i wouldn't risk paying thousands of euros before having my visa in hand. The only reason is that I really miss my husband and I want to be with him as soon as possible. And she giggled and told me okay, we'll reschedule you for December 28th, at 1 PM.
    I'm so happy!!! I can't wait for hubby to wake up so I can give him the news! (He doesn't know about the email that I sent).

    I thank God for all he has done. Grateful that all the visa journey is finally over. Compliment of the season to everyone. Had my interview today and it was awesome. The consular was friendly and we conversed and laughed like this was so unbelievable. She didn't go through any documents I brought and that was the most thrilling part. My questions were like a conversation than a question. All thanks to God. I was asked the ffg;
    So your husband is calling u?
    How did u met?
    For how long have you known him?
    When did you become romantically involved?
    So was it the first time he visited you got married?
    Where does he live? So when I said Michigan she asked me what my husband told me abt Michigan with a smile? And I said he said it was very cold she yes. That her parents lives in Michigan that I should get enough winter wears for this season and I laughed that my husband had bought many for me. We bought laughed.
    Finally she asked me what I do? And I told her a physical therapist but am presently not working because my dad passed away recently so she sounded sympathetic she was sorry to hear that. And she said oh, we need a physical therapist in the US cuz it high skilled and she told me she had a friend who is a physical therapist and I smiled.
    She smiled and said ok your Visa has been APPROVED and gave me two papers where to pick my visa and how to pay for the green card. So glad God saw us to the end. I pray everyone here is approved like I was. No1 deserves to be apart from their spouses. Season greeting ya all.

    Helloo...
    I don't understand why some people here are so eager to find out if their case file has reached the consulate from NVC and go to extreme lengths to find out if its shipped out and keep a track on DHL shipments. Well i dont think anyone needs to be nervous about that its the job of the NVC and there's nothing you can really do in this. Once you are given an interview date its their headache to get hold of your file. Almost every file reaches the Embassy or consulate once you are scheduled. So folks just relax. Best of luck to everyone who have intrrviews coming up.
    Cheers ?

    Yes probably on the case complete email that comes 7 days after case complete (some get it some don't). No way to know if you will get February Interview. But you are now in the queue so its a waiting game. Hopefully not a long wait once scheduling starts up in a few weeks.

    Hey himanshu, I have a somewhat similar case to yours, in that my wife's the petitioner, I'm the applicant, and she lives with me abroad, and so her uncle (no joke) will be financially sponsoring me.
    As far as AOS is concerned you need to file two I-864 forms, one by your wife and the other by your wife's uncle. The both need to put themselves down as Joint Sponsors; hers will have little or no income, while his will be a full-fledged version of that.
    That's as much as I know, so I hope it did shed some light for you.
