I was thinking the same thing ChicagoSarah, I just want to get fiance here first then worry about everything else then.
All while preparing for the next stage.

Which process was more difficult- the initial k1 application process or AOS? Just want to know what to expect for the future. Maybe they were both difficult. What was the most difficult part for you? Thanks.

When my fiance eventually arrives from the Philippines, (still haven't gotten NOA2- just asking for future reference), I was thinking about our honeymoon being a cruise to the Caribbean. With a k1, can she travel out of the country? We may not go right away because of the schedule as a teacher. I would probably book for next summer. Just curious. Thanks.

But why do the responses have to be in a negative tone? I agree honesty is important but it could be presented in a more positive way. That's just my opinion.

Welcome to the board Socialwork4god. The responses to your topic are par for the course. Supposed to be supportive and for the most part it is, but as you can see, there are many people who are anything but. Good luck on your journey. Everything will work itself out. Don't let the naysayers get you down.

Sorry folks, I see the light. My fiance will not fly directly from Manila to New Orleans. Her POE will be whatever US city she arrives in first. i think this is the answer.

After looking at others' timelines, I am wondering about something. I noticed a person from North Carolina had his fiance enter in the state of New York at JFK. I was assuming that since I live not far from New Orleans, that would be my fiance's eventual entry point. Sorry if this a dumb question, I just want to make sure I know these things when the eventual date occurs. Thanks.

I sent in the forms before i registered on this site. Read my post again if you need clarification.

Hope you guys gets your NOA2's soon. I filed on March 10, and if I wouldve waited two more weeks, I would be at CSC. But I believe God has a plan for all of us. I just can't wait for the day I can pick up Jane at the airport. I will be going to the Philippines in July to see her again. Hopefully, I and you guys as well, will hear great news. We're all in this together. In the end, it will be worth it.

I love this site. Someone poses an idea and then gets pounced on. I really thought the point of this site was to be supportive to each other as we go through this road together. But, again I guess I was wrong. For example, when I first registered on this site after I sent off my i129f, I had a simple question which was related to wait times for nOA2 if both my fiance and I had no children, criminal records, etc. I had no clue about the process at that point, and immediately i received responses like, "it will have no effect", or "just get in line with rest of us", or "prepare for 11 months and be happy with 6." I was not trying to cut in front of anyone, just asking what to expect. That's why I rarely post anything because I may get flamed like the OP is. Geez.

That's good to know. It does seem like TSC has been putting out more approvals lately, so hopefully all those backlogged cases can get moving. It's ashamed for those who have been waiting since September / October.

Every time I try to find out information about my case through the USCIS website I get the following message:
At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NCSC 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information.
I tried to call the automated system today and basically got the same message. I've filed my case in March and know I have several months more to wait for NOA2, but do you guys think I should be concerned about this? I do know they cashed my check. Hopefully they did not lose my file.

@tigerflower- all kinds. I put all the required forms as well as receipts from my trip to the Philippines in February. I included photos of me and my fiance. I also included various emails, facebook chat logs, skype logs, photocopies of my boarding passes, my email confirmation of my flight itinerary, passport stamps entering and leaving the phil. my engagement ring receipt. It took awhile to put together, but now i have to wait to see if it is approved. That part is still at least 4-5 months away, being I am at TSC.

Do they do this only on weekdays or at anytime. Just curious for when the time comes to schedule her flight.

Just trying to get a handle on the process. I was assuming that when the fiance gets off the plane, she reports to customs and they ask a few questions and that's it. From what I am reading this is not the procedure. What is the actual process? Thanks in advance. For the record, my fiance's poe will be New Orleans.

Wow, amazing stories. I can't wait to experience that moment. When it happens, I will try to call Jane, and knowing the Philippines, the connection will be bad.
-
Just curious for some of your stories about when you found out you were approved and your reaction. I have a long wait ahead for my nOA2, but I imagine I will be teaching my fifth graders when i receive my text message. I will probably faint in front of my class. lol. I am curious from you who have been through this, your reaction to your notification. Thanks.

Thanks. That makes sense.

When it comes time to send my fiance my financial data, how do I show that I have two separate jobs. My income tax returns is the two combined incomes, but on the affidavit of support, there is only room to report one occupation. Have any of you ever faced this before, and if so, how should it be handled? Thanks.

Of course I want to see her, but where I live (Louisiana) there may be a hurricane that could derail my plans or maybe a medical emergency. i am not planning on these things happening but wanted to know if I would be safe with only one visit in case.

Currently I am waiting for NOA2 at TSC. I went to visit my fiance in the Philippines in February of this year. I do have another visit planned for this July. My question is if something occurs where I can't make it, is one visit for 8 days long enough for her to get her visa, assuming I have enough documentation (in the I-129 f application) or will they desire for me to spend more time visiting her? Thanks.

Why does my timeline say Armenia consulate instead of Manila? I've noticed this on other timelines as well.

Just wondering about how much longer after the i129f is approved til the fiance can enter, assuming there are no problems with the subsequent steps? Curious to hear from those who went through the process. I also know each person's case is different, but i wonder about the overall average time. thanks.
Vaccines
in K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures
Posted
I have a question. We are still waiting for NOA2, but i would like some advice. My fiance does not know where (if one exists) her record for vaccinations is. She told me she has taken some vaccines but not sure of which ones. I am wondering is there any way of getting up to date with these for medical eval, which will hopefully take place in the next few years (sarcasm) at St. Lukes. Thanks for the advice.
