It was crowded at the Dallas Field Office today. I felt quite honored when my name was called to speak to an immigration officer. It was a tight and hostile environment, rarely any seating with everyone waiting to be called.

All of us K1 filers at TSC are so lucky! Think of all the free time we have that would otherwise have been spent with our significant others. We can use all of this free time while we are apart to better ourselves! Here are some suggestions:
    - pick up a new hobby! How about glass-blowing or macramé? If I was in the US right now I could hang out with my future wife and build our new life together, but then I wouldn't have time to make these sweet plant holders or this beautiful glassware bong. I am so thankful.
    - learn a new language! There are roughly 6,500 spoken languages in the world today. By the time the TSC gets to your petition, you could learn at least half of those.
    - go back to school! By the time your approval comes along, you could earn a PhD! Maybe figure out the cure to cancer.
    - take up meditation! After several hundred days waiting for your NOA2, you'll be so %$@?! zen that you'll make the Dalai Lama look high strung!
Truly we are fortunate for this interminable wait.

Attention all TSC K1 filers. You need to get your N-400, citizenship documentation together ASAP. This process moves faster than you think. Prepare yourself for the citizenship interview as well. There just isn't enough time.

why are you so upset? there is a rewards program with USCIS that gives you points based on the amount of time it takes for your visa to process. The longer you wait, the better it is.
10 days = USCIS Bumper Sticker
60 days = $10 off your next application fee
200 days = Special code to avoid wait times to speak to Tier 2 officers
365 days = Electronic or Telephone RFE correction
720 days = Meet and greet with Tier 2 officers and Consular officals
1000 days = Tour of the Texas Service Center, Radioactive suit included
6000 days = Upon death, your application is automatically approved, and you will be considered a citizen of the United States!
So yeah, I would rather be in your position Brett! Be patient!

I just want to let everyone know how happy I am that I haven't been approved yet in the TSC! Things are moving so quickly! What should I be preparing for the NVC stage because I am just so excited just waiting for my approval which will probably come some time in 2019. The other day I received some strong words of encouragement from a neighbor whose wife is from the Phillipines. He told me to hang on and be patient. He petioned for a K1 visa for his wife on July 1, 2014. He later invited me to their wedding in NY on July 2, 2014. It was incredible. I was like: "that was fast! I need to relax!"
So yeah, here I am, typing on VJ. I have been on hold for about a week waiting to speak to a Tier 2 officer. Trying to dream and wait for someone to answer the phone is pretty tricky!
Good luck VJer's. I am just loving life here in the TSC!

Texas Service Center on Time and no Backlog
Our Reporter investigate the reproach from Visa Journey Member about long processing times.
Mr. Slow told us in an Interview, there is no Backlog. The TSC work accurate and on time.
To proof this he showed the petition what they work on at the moment.

The fact that things are taking so long means USCIS really values my application and are doing their utmost to ensure everything goes smoothly. If my petition were to fly by in 9 days, for example, I would actually be more worried about my fiance coming here. I mean, I know her well, but not enough, so it helps that some non-descript, backoffice clerk is really scrutinizing my fiance. It is sort of like insurance in case my fiance turns out to be someone that really doesn't belong in the United States let alone with me!

I know, that is why I said "we understand"... the TSC is so fast that it makes us all dizzy, even me and sometimes I say things I shouldn't...
It's a side-effect of getting issued with a Visa so quickly
