  1. Hi

My wife is a green card holder and she got reentry permit. She gave a birth to our child so she came to me for a temporary visit. My wife is living with me in my country. We decided to to back to USA after getting my U.S.immigration visa. My priority date is approacing now. I have a DS-260 form. I am confuse what address should i provide in the petioner mailing address while she is not living in U.S since last 6 months. She will reestablish her domicile in August as she got a job offer from an organisztion in WASHINGTON.Does her absence from U.S impact on my case or my form DS 260.

What address should i provided in my DS -260 from in Petioner Addess column amd the phone number. And does all this impact on my Domilcile issue.

    Please help.

    Kind Regards

Hi, you should put the address where you guys plan to live once you move back. This could be a new lease on an apartment, house or if there are living arrangements with a family member or friends. You should provide proof of that, a copy of the lease, etc!

In addition, I am not sure if the situation is the same for every embassy, we were applying from Canada. I think there are portals for every country/embassy if you'd like to be more certain!

  2. Hello VJs members, maybe someone with similar situation can answer my question. Now that I have received my Green Card, I am not sure how to respond to the question Officials ask you when cross back into the US; What is your citizenship? (by the way, I am naturalized Canadian born in Honduras).

I read only that officers at the border do not appreciate answers such as: DUAL CITIZENSHIP. I have a few options that i have thought of:

    Considering these facts first:

I don't have a current Honduran passport, only a expired one.

In my Green Card, is no where written that I am Canadian. :(

    Possible answers(?):

    a) Canadian

    b) Honduran born, Canadian citizen

    c) Canadian Citizen, Honduran born

    d) Maybe I am overthinking it and I can say all of the above?

    e) none of the above?

    Thank you in advance! ;)

  3. Hi NLR, I am so glad I found this thread! I am in the same situation, I wrote a little about my experience over at waiting for passport from Montreal thread, about my POE experience and all.

I tried to go to my POE and they told me, they don't do that there. I am wondering if I can try going to the department of revenue here in Michigan, and if I do, do I just walk in and explain? and, now I am wondering whether I pay for my immigration fee, since my GC will have the same issue? Thank you in advance! :)

  4. Hey Everyone, congratulations to those who got Issued!!!

Just wanted to update you, I went and picked up my passport in London yesterday, (which by the way, it got there in one day!) and activated my visa yesterday evening!!!! :) :) :)

One thing I forgot to do, was to pay the immigration fee before crossing, and now I am wondering, whether I wait for them to bill me, in 45 days, or if I should pay the fee online. If anyone can share some thoughts on this that would be helpful.

The border crossing took 4 hours (ouch!) Got questioned at the gate (mini interview, a bit intense; but the officer was nice about it) and most of the waiting inside, was because people where coming to watch a game.

Today, I went and applied for a SSN: and the officer told me that, my first name, has both of my names; First and Middle (?!) He added, "this is very common, and I can printed this way, and you can fix it later."

I asked, whether this would be a problem in the future. He said not really but, that it would matter for applying for citizenship. Has anyone heard of this type of issue? I still have to get my license, should I fill in the boxes normally, like first name, and middle name separate? Also, what about future applications, credit cards, bank accounts, etc?

The person at the SSN told me to go to the border and try to fix it with them, and so I did today.

And, oh boy... they did not like that one bit! They sent me on my way, and told me that if I needed to change any names on my papers I had to go to the consulate in Montreal??? I felt lost, and didn't want to keep asking them in different ways, I got a little intimidated; they had large guns.

Anyways, that's my report. Montreal Visa system was emailing me all the way through, from the moment my package was picked up from the embassy, to when I, myself went and picked it up.

It looks like is going to be a good week after all here in the forum! Wish everyone else waiting a rapid result, and really thanks a million to those who helped me; NLR, CristinaG, CanAm!!! (F) (L) :star:

  5. Finally VISA in hand!!!!!!! :) BEYOND happy.

Congrats again CanAm! So cool! :)

You should receive your email from Loomis today. They probably didn't pick up on Friday and we're closed yesterday but it can't hurt to call. :-)

And, you were right! tracking my passport as we speak!!!

  6. Check on CEAC first to see if the verbiage has changed to say " Your visa is in final processing. If you have not received it in more than five (5) working days, please go to http://usvisa-info.com/en-CA/selfservice/us_courrier_informationto track your courier waybill.

The link will take you to your Loomis Applicant Summry page.. If it has been picked up you should see the Wwaybill # and be able to track it. For us we got the email from Loomis first and then about and hour or so later were able to track it on line. Hang in there you're almost at the finish line :) j

ya, it all switched on the same day for us, from ISSUED... admin process to ISSUED Your visa is in final processing. I was just wondering if they mailed it on the Friday, and it would be at the Loomis location today or something like that...

  7. Just heard from Loomis and also tracked online. Hubby on his way to pick up passport & packet.. Leaving for S.Florida on Friday.. Finally!!! :)

    Cool! Congrats!!!

I wonder if I should call Loomis, although I still have not received the email, I know they just got back from a holiday weekend... but would they know if my passport is on their manifest for the day?

7/31 We got email from Loomis with waybill # Our account on Loomis site updated with waybill number.

We should have Visa in hand tomorrow. (Today Loomis is closed/Civic Holiday

Ok, great! So about 2 business days then.

  9. Congratulations "duvalin"!!! So happy for you. OK so maybe just maybe MTL has a fire going that will keep going. Fingers crossed for everyone else especially those in the May/June interview group.

Thanks CanAm! I am just waiting for email from Loomies. Did you get yours already? Just wondering how long it takes..

  10. OMG! I can't stop crying! As I was finishing typing the previous post to IN&S, I thought; maybe I should check right now the CEAC, but it is kind of early, hmmm... and I did..... wait for it, wait for it... ISSUED!!!

I can't believe it. On the Friday of the Blue Moon!

  11. Sorry to hear I&NS!

When were done our interview, the CO, told us he was still waiting biometrics to come back from USCIS, which it will only take two hours, to be precise. I wonder if they were still having issues with finger prints then? But nonetheless, is very frustrating.

In other news, our status update changed to todays date. But we received not email from them.
