Hi Duvalin, it's not necessary true sometimes they reply. If your status update change and you not getting a reply its a good sign they working on your case.

Hi akazmi! But, my update date didn't change after I sent my email this past Friday! Just did once by itself, 3 days after the interview, two weeks ago.

5 weeks today, been checking all day and nothing. I checked again just now and our date actually updated to today's date, first time that's happened for us without us sending an email. Hopefully that's a good sign!

We didn't received a response from the consulate, would anyone suggest we contact them again, maybe this Friday? It doesn't seem like they got the email or something. It usually the update date changes every time you inquire about your file, correct?

Hello, I think you should of contacted the embassy pass the 5 day mark after ISSUED. If I am not wrong, there is a message on the CEAC status, that clearly says, to contact them if you haven't received your visa within 5 business days after being ISSUED.

I would contact them again if I were you.

Nothing for us yet. We wrote them on Friday and have not heard from them, nor our dates or update has changed. Didn't everyone got a response within the hour or so?

It's normally not an issue for Canadians to import cars as long as they have a compliance letter and no liens on the car. You have a year to import a car and no duty should be paid.

Your visa case is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. This processing can take several weeks, or longer. As explained on the day of your interview, if further information is needed, you will be contacted. If your visa application is approved when administrative processing is finished, you will receive notification to collect the passport with the visa from the Loomis branch you selected when you booked your appointment.

CR1=marriage less than 2 years

I have seen generally k-1 visa are issued much faster than IR1/CR1.

K1 and CR1 are processed differently. It doesn't make sense to me but the K1's through all of this the last month have been issued way faster. You'd think it would be done the same since both parties are entering the country...

I just noticed another member who interviewed on the 17th, got issued yesterday. I am starting to worry, because we were told our visa will be printed on the same day of our interview. We have been waiting for this moment for so many years too.

Hey, so I just read in a different forum someone said that CEAC updates on Tuesdays and Fridays, at 3pm ET... Could that be true??

I think* date creation changes only for fiancé K-1 visas akazmi. For IR-1/CR-1 visas stays the same during the whole process. But this is only what I've gather from reading the forum.

congratulations!!!!.... aaaaand we were ISSUED TOOOOOOOO!!!!!! On Saturday as well!! We were absolutely shocked and couldnt believe our eyes this morning!!!! You just can never figure these people out! on a saturday!? Anyway hope this brings hope to everyone who is waiting!!! Seems they are starting to at least process some of the really old cases! The wait is agonizing so i'm sending good vibes to those waiting weeks (over a month) like we were.

FYI for those still waiting.... I don't know if this was any kind of sign but our status update date had not budged for quite a while unless we inquired but it updated on its own on thursday (was still one READY) and i was hoping it would be a sign that something was added to our file and would issue soon.

Hopefully the passports ship soon!

So cool, congrats! our appointment was last Monday (13th) and our status update changed to the 17th(on the Friday) on its own... the consular said I get my passport back within a week at the interview, but now I am just wondering if sending an email today (a week later) is a good idea.. I try to keep busy, but really, I feel like a zombie pretending not to think about CEAC.

ISSUED!!! At long last! I wasn't even going to check my status until Monday because I figured there would be no activity over the weekend. But checking CEAC has become an hourly ritual for the past 5 weeks that I clicked the bookmark by reflex and could not believe my eyes! Hallelujah!

I checked my CEAC, and I noticed that yesterday our app showed Status Updated Date July 17th. My interview was only 4 days ago on (July 13). I can't help it, but be hopeful that this means is a good sign? Maybe other members can share, if they have noticed any changes too.

I just checked my CEAC, and it looks a little tiny different; the date in which was last updated, switched from July 13, to today's date, July 17th...??

i email the consulate today regarding about my visa issue they said my file is with consular officer for review as soon we get the update we will notify you. My interview was last week July 9 and i got approved they give me a welcome letter but CEAC status still show READY.
