Come over to the FEB 2016 NVC thread. You will learn a lot on what you need to do next. Plus go and read the NVC Process, that is a big help.

You will not get anything else from USCIS. The should send you a notification that your case has been sent to the Dept of State.

I need a new Ghana Passport after I got married in USA.

Looking at the Ghana Embassy, Washington, website, there's a notice that due to technical difficulties they're no longer issuing passports at that location since December 2015.

The notice is still on the front page as I type now.

But when I called the embassy and spoke with an operator, who sounded clueless, she said they're still taking applications for passport.

Does anybody know anything about Ghana embassy not issuing passports anymore or anything to that effect?

My current passport still has my old name before marriage and I need a new passport with my new name since I'm traveling in 2 months. Thanks.

If they are taking applications according to what you were told by the embassy. I would go ahead and apply for a new one. It can take weeks to get the new one back so I wouldn't waste much time since you will be leaving in two months.

how ever is the bank letter needed also as proof? and what should it say, ( do they also want to see what you have in savings) ???

You don't need a bank letter for your AOS packet.

I got checklist for document missing hobbit , they said we missing the police certificate from Armenia , I said but I send it ( the original one), then the rep. said I will put you on superviser review and it could take up to 42 days to find the document you send us. :ranting: Then I said if you cant find that document can my parent provide it to the embassy of Armenia she said we need a copy of that . so waiting again

A lady confirmed, that the case got completed today February 4!.

I am very happy! BTW my scan date was December 28.

omg i just talked to nvc and my case is completed.. wow i started crying. i sent everything thru the mail. no electronic filing.. wow... i am in shocked... I'm calling my wife to give her the amazing news!!!!!!

For those that have CC already.....if/when you completed your I-864EZ, when you printed for signature and date, did you go back and write in "N/A" for anything that was left blank? Or with the new form, is it safe to leave it blank without fear of getting a checklist?

Called NVC and was informed we got a case complete on 2/1. Scan date 1/4. HOORAY!!! Now just waiting for the Montreal consulate to schedule the interview.

Yeah, looking back at my records I used the form dated 2013, a new one was issued July 2nd 2015. I was ahead of myself filling in forms, my husband had some work problems so we were late submitting our AOS packages. I never thought to look at the validity dates on the forms. Ya live and learn... Although I have cracked open a bottle of wine to soothe the aching heart.

Cheers to you...yes just relax and everything will be ok. Even IF you did get the notice to send in the new form... just have the new one ready to mail.

Should we mail the AOS and IV document package right now or wait until we are done submitting the DS260 - Which is still not available for my case yet?

Mail them now if you have everything done. Don't wait....Once NVC gets your packets that is your scan date!

Just paid aos fee(just before my flight). Iv fee will be available soon. And going to india. Can't wait to see my love. Most parts are online now. Package is almost ready as well!!!

Nope! I'm 19 days in since petition approved and still waiting on NVC to say they received it. I called Friday afternoon and still nothing. I'll call them again tonight. Hopefully, this time they will say they have it. With my luck, it will be another 3 weeks for them to assign a case number and IIN for me. on the positive side.....at least it's not NSC!

Now you can be happy that today they did receive your case.....not much longer now for case number!!
