He needs to go to the passport office and get a new passport. He will need a passport for his interview. I would have him go to the passport office and find out what he needs to do. Time is not on his side. I heard it can take between 2-8 months to get a passport.

Totally agree with this one! .... We have a big age different (18 years) nothing that bothers us at all and we have no issues in our relationship with that.

Find it a funny thing to judge others for that. A relationsship with big age different can be just as good as someone with the same age.

How long does it take for the Ghanaian embassy to schedule your interview? Im wondering because I need to give my job at least a two month notice because of the way our work schedule is made?

For the CR-1 expect a 4 month wait once you have case complete at NVC. It's a long wait for Ghana. Also you will not be allowed in the Embassy for the interview but you can wait across the street. They do no allow spouses to enter the embassy anymore on the interview day.

YAY!!! Called NVC and I have an interview scheduled on July 19th at 8.30am. I don´t know if it´s due to the expedite plea that the senator did on our behalf or not but I´m really happy that I got it. I just want to be with my husband and make sure he recovers.

Only got 4 questions!

1.how did I meet my husband?

2.do we plan to stay in Texas in a long term?

3.how many siblings does my husband have?

4.how old are my husband's children?

Our case was approved in December 2015 we just now got an interview date for July. It take a while for the process to be completed. Good luck on your Journey.

Me and hubby made it to colorado yesterday. With no problem everything was smooth sailing. We went through customs and waited 1 hour to me call there was like 20 people ahead of us but once called it was welcome to the United States. God is good, thanks to everyone on here cause without you guys I wouldn't know what to do. All my knowledge regarding immagration I got it from here. I give this forum and website 100% for being so good and awesome and right on target this forum had me over prepared and I loved it. Thank you and God bless you all on your journey.

They asked me the tax transcript for 2014 & 2015. We submitted 2014 but up-to now IRS hasn't started issuing 2015. Anyway we emailed the 2014. And received the automated reply and another 'human' email day before yesterday. Waiting.. praying to God. What did they mentioned in their 'human' email? Pls pm me.

You can get your 2015 tax transcripts. I requested mine and received it within a week.

Whooohooo! My husband got his passport back today with visa! But the American embassy in Ghana didn't contact him, he just had to go check.

Did it show his visa was issued. Then he went to DHL and checked?

I picked up my visa and immigrant packet yesterday. Paid the Elis fee as well, POE will be Sunday in Houston. I can't believe it's all worked out for the best. Thanks for the support and good luck to everyone with this whole process!

I can't believe how fast time is flying by since we got our interview date and time. It feels like just yesterday that I was saying 39 days....now we're talking about 16! I mean seriously...2.5 weeks away!

My husband booked his flight to Mumbai for the interview and it's starting to become more real for him so he's getting a bit nervous. Up until now, I've been taking care of everything and stressed about the process. I spoke with him last night and now he's putting more stress on himself knowing that it's up to him to wrap up this process and there's nothing more for me to do but pray that everything goes smooth. poor guy. we've had a few bumps in this long process road and I'm praying everything is on cruise control now.

2 weeks, 2 days, 11 hours, 44 minutes and 30 seconds!

I know time is short for you!!! Ours is 47 days 9 hours 12 mins and 15 sec!!! hahahahah
