I am a US citizen and had applied for CR-1 visa (3 months back) for my wife (currently She is in India) and our application will get processed by Texas Services center. It looks like it will take forever, atleast 1-1.5 years until she can get the visa so I am looking for options to stay together.

That isn't quite how long the wait is. CR1 is approx 12 mos if there are no RFEs.. and docs are in order.

I want them to come. My husband can sponser his mother but its about whole family like his brother and sister. My husbasnd is on GC

Doesn't matter what you want unfortunately, but rather if the intending applicant is interested. Once your hubby is a USC, he can petition his mother in Pakistan. His siblings have a decades-long wait.

    Hello FarrahIdir :

My Wife Family hide her original  DOB from  Her all national ID,Passport,Birth certificate,Marriage certificate .

Her School Certificate is Original DOB . Due to Bangladesh Marriage age limit - her parent hide her DOB in the Marriage.

How can she admit that her parent misleading the DOB in her Marriage  to us embassy  and all her document ? - Please advice

Well she lied about her age (when signing the ds260), and the USemb caught her lie.  That's material misrep.

So my question is can I sponsor him with my H1B visa?  Do we have to get married outside the country? My employer has filed I-140 petition. Hopefully, I will get PR soon. Is this enough to bring your fiance to the US.

    What category i140; eb1, eb2, or eb3?  And what's the PD?

You can petition him for an H4 only if married, not as a boyfriend.

I appreciate the response, Transborderwife, but how about this... Let's redefine the term "Social Media Manager" to "Content Creator" or "Visual Artist"

Changing labels would not change visa requirements. If a visa category does not exist, it doesn't exist, not matter the label.

Thanks for pointing this out because I am not aware that all tourist visa applicants are tagged as such.

All b2 applicants are perceived to have immigrant intent.. up to each applicant to prove otherwise to be approved.

The embassy already tagged all Filipino tourist visa applicants as "intending immigrants" and it's up to you to prove that you're not.

That's the law (under which all COs adjudicate b1\b2).  Not specific to Phils.

I really want to go to US to see my aunt whose brother (my father) died a year ago and wasnt able to see him (my father) on his last days on Earth. And also, my aunt is financing my round trip ticket and most of my expenses in US, if ever. (Though I know this would lead to a 50-50 decision.

Any suggestions on how can i show my ties to my country? I have a land title which was named after me and my aunt, and all my relatices including my mom and sibs are here in the Philippines, all are working. We also have a small business in the province but is named under my parents'. I need suggestions please thanks

A lot of Filipinas want to come to the US, but unfortunately a good number of them end up overstaying; as you probably know. If you want to know one good reason you were denied, it's those previous 'visitors' from your country who decided not to return, oftentimes leaving young kids behind.

Its been almost 200 days (PD Oct 4, 2016) and we are still waiting for approval. Here is the response which we got from Senator when they contacted USCIS

""USCIS records confirms that the case is in pending background check clearance. USCIS is committed to adjudicating these cases in a timely manner while also ensuring public safety and national security. A small percentage of cases have unresolved background check issues that temporarily delay adjudication. Although USCIS makes every effort to resolve such cases promptly, USCIS is unable to speculate when the background check will be completed""

I read somehwere in VJ that it can take upto several months just to complete this background check. We are totally devastated to hear this news after waiting already for such a long time. If anybody has gone through similar experience, How long does it took to clear such background check? please share. It would be really helpful!!!

    beneficiary in Germany or India?
