    Hello fellow Scandinavians.

Has anybody been through the Medical Office in Copenhagen to do their medical examination?

I tried to call them today to ask what the "Esta triggered visa application" exactly is, and the lady had no idea, even though it's on their own website.

Does anybody know what this document is?

And am i only able to schedule my medical when i get an interview date?

    (Currently at the NVC stage)

You're doing CR1 right? ESTA has to do with the VWP program.  I'm assuming it is for someone who is not eligible for the visa waiver program and has to apply for a visitor visa. Not applicable for you if you're doing CR1.

You should be able to schedule your medical as soon as you get the embassy case number by calling NVC or when the embassy sends out your checklist whichever you prefer. Calling NVC will give you the case number faster but I have heard it can be a hassle.

Still using the pronoun "they" to describe two entities.  You do understand that most of the CFA outlets are franchisees, do you know the personal beliefs of each independent owner?  Also, everyone has the power of their own spending, if there are folks out there that don't like CFA et. al., don't spend money there.

So you don't support the airport's decision, but you seem to infer that CFA should have been discriminated against up front?  How is that discrimination any different.

As full disclosure, I personally have only eaten at CFA twice, both times at an airport, their food is so-so in my opinion, but it seemed better than some of the other options.  Apart from that, I do not go out of my way looking for one.

Maybe because I don't really care much about this subject? I'm just saying it's not news that the company is anti lgbtq. It's a well known fact. If individual owners are not, that's great. Doesn't make much difference when the company as a whole are.

I've eaten there a couple of times. I definitely prefer other options less high in sodium.

So should Airports ban Muslim prayer rooms? You are probably aware of the issues at schools in the UK.

If CFA as a whole is so bad, then why do folks eat there?  Do they discriminate who can patronize their business?  Based on the link I posted, the Democrat leadership apparently has no issues with this business.

Did I say I supported the airports decision? No. Did I say let's ban them? No. I said I was surprised they were even considered if this is an issue for the airport as it has been known for a while that they donate money to anti LGBTQ.

How come? Do you have to be unmarried to be an au pair?

You can probably be married to someone in your home country (doubtful as people are usually 18-19 years old). You're just not supposed to sign any contracts (getting married is somehow included in that rule) while you're an Au Pair, at least not with the programs I've heard of or been involved with.

She did.  They have a really good relationship and have been understanding the whole way through.  She only had about three months left with them anyways.

Usually then it's up to the Au Pairs to tell their company (if not told by the host family) of their marriage to a US Cit (in our case, my wife was told by the host family that it was up to her to tell her local coordinator).  Mostly because the companies do not want to be legally "responsible" for the Au Pair anymore.  I guess it varies from Au Pair company-to-company, but some continue to finish out their contract.  One of my wife's friends who also had a good relationship with her family was suddenly kicked out of the home after telling her host mom she got engaged...she did a complete 180.

With Au Pair Care and Cultural care, you are out of the program as soon as they find out if you get married. At least when I was an Au Pair a few years ago. Good for your wife that they don't seem to have that rule with her company.

    Hi all,

I got a question about being "out-of-status" for a VERY short time and submitting a AOS Packet (I-485,I-130,I-130A, etc.) around the same time.

My wife (we got married in April, I'm the US Citizen and sponsor) is on a J1 Au Pair Exchange Status until this September 2019.  This is her second year as an Au Pair and she's obviously tired and burnt out and wants to leave the program at the end of the month (May 31st, next week).  I know it's common for a lot of married Au Pairs to end up leaving their programs with no issues.  However, I have been wanting to receive the I-797 NOA Notice of an Accepted Application BEFORE she formally terminates her J1 program as her company is pretty quick on ceasing the status.

Unfortunately (and knowing this has been a touchy subject to me), she went ahead and already spoke with her host family and company and they will be ending her time on May 31st.  I wanted her to stay a little longer to wait until we had safely secured the NOA.  I have our complete AOS Packet ready to send tomorrow but I'm a little concerned that with the holiday coming up and such that USCIS might be delayed in processing and her company will cease her J1 status before we receive the I-797/NOA of the Accepted Application.

My question is: Would her being "Out-of-Status" by a few days, maybe a week-or-so cause any issues with our AOS application?  Or should we wait to receive the I-797/NOA of the Accepted Application before she formally terminates her employment?

    Thank you.

So she didn't even tell her host family that she was going to get married? Well, she did the right thing eventually as getting married during your Au Pair Program is a sure way of losing your status.

Yeah. So in a nutshell USCIS prefers Asylum seekers working sooner than the K-1 filers, which are being forced to work under the table, just because USCIS prefers Asylum seekers..

It's weird preference system that they have. USCIS desperately needs some kind of overhaul of the procedures and preferences. K-1's now are the most screwed up filers in the whole system because of the extended processing times, which makes absolutely no sense. We're 5 months in EAD/AP processing with no end in sight. It's just nuts.. I appreciate the possibility of moving my loved one to US as it's a privilege, but.. i mean.. come on..

The other week my friends and i had a laugh that it's easier to jump the fence and get paperwork, rather than going through K-1. Shouldn't it be the other way around? I literally unfollowed everyone on IG who said "help the asylum seekers". Those Californian celebrities? Yeah, them.. Reading just the headlines and "yeah we gotta help them, screw the people who are actually following the law"..

I loved the words, i'm not sure who said it, and whether it's exact quote but it went something like "Democracy is gonna eat itself" or "democracy is gonna outlaw itself". You get the gist.

I would have no problems with Asylum seekers, if they just DID something and were processed separately. Mandatory english courses, Community services, something to "pay back" for the help they are getting. 40hrs of community service. Help people who help you. Now they're being basically everything given for no apparent reason..

Is a K1 applicant in danger? No. A legit asylum seeker? Yes. A K1 applicant should, if they've done their research, know they need to wait until they can work and if the USC can't deal with that financially they should opt to get married and file spousal visa

My wife just got a call that her mom and sister were got by a car while on the scooter. From the initial report her mom has a broken leg, the sister is dizzy and wants to vomit. I've already filled for AOS, EAP,AP and have received the noa1, no RFE, and have the bio appointment in two weeks. On read on USCIS that you can apply in person at your local office, but my local office( San Bernardino CA) doesn't accept walk in or making appointments, something like that. Can I just do a walk-in into the next nearest office to me or do I need to call USCIS customer service and ask to have it expedited at the current office or are both possible but which is faster ?

I had to get an emergency advance parole when my dad passed away. You do not need to call USCIS. You just go to your local office with your case number, 2 passport photos and evidence (in this case note from their doctor) of why you need to go.

She started a movement?  The world is dying?  I think some folks on the left say we have less than 10 years.  Personally, I think the earth is a lot more resilient than some people give it credit for, but if we do only have 10 years left, and the grand scale of the supposed issue, I don't think much will happen unless we start getting rid of CO2 emitters (i.e. animals).

Btw, how do we know any money she receives is donated?  Also, are they donating the money from her mother's book?

It's not a left or right thing. It's our children and grandchildrens future. Earth will still be around but we and the animals won't.

Based on what was posted in the link, she appears to be production meant to make money for her parents and others.

Any money she gets is donated to charity. And I doubt there is much money to make on a dying world. She started a movement, people all around the world are finally speaking up about the fact that life on earth is dying.  Both the UK and Ireland has declared a climate emergency. Maybe we can save ourselves before it is too late.

When you transition and leave your old gender inappropriate name behind. Hope the schools are keeping up with this.

Swedish girl withe pigtails on climate strike, she looked a bot odd and I came across an article detailing her issues. Parents seem to be using her.

Her name is Greta Thunberg and she is not mentally ill, she has Aspergers. Her parents are not using her.
