It took us 31 days. I called on the 31 day and got all the information over the phone then a few days later I got the offical letter. Don't call everyday day. Wait and do it like they say ( start calling on the 30 day) and there will be a little less stress in your life. Nothing is done fast with this government.

You are insane. What happens if this child gets sick or needs emergency room care. You are not the guardian. Take her to her father NOW !!! or have her father come and get her NOW!!!. You are opening yourself up to all kinds of trouble. She is not a dog or toy you can just keep because you like her. You should be having second thoughts about your fiance. How dare he put you in such a situation. Oh my Gawg!!!!!! Oh and good luck with this one.

It looks like you were looking for a man but found a man that is still a boy. Don't walk but run to the airport to buy him a ticket back home then run to a divorce attorney. DO NOT ADJUST STATUS... I am so sorry...Good Luck.

Paul and Svetlana reacted to j&ana in Fiance visa or marriage visa
If your only concern is getting to the U.S the fastest way, then the K-1 visa is probably the best for you. However there are pros and cons for each visa. You will have to pay more fees later for the K-1 visa making it more costly then the IR-1/CR-1 visa. You will also have to send in more paperwork later as you will do AOS in the states for the K-1 visa, With the IR-1/CR-1 visa that is done at the NVC stage of the process. It will take time for you to be a residence with the K-1 visa, with the IR-1/CR-1, you are a resident as soon as you are in the USA. Here is a link that compares the type of visas. It also shows the K-3 visa but that visa is really a waste of time, but you can compare the k-1 fiancée visa with the IR-1/CR-1 visa and see the pro and con for each.

Another thing to consider is the USCIS is processing petitions, faster from the Philippines now. Will your be process fast? I do not know, but it could be.
Also if you do decide to get married, there are certain requirements you will need. your fiancée will need to make an appointment with the embassy there, to get the Affidavit in Lieu of a Certificate of Legal Capacity to Contract Marriage, He will also need any divorce papers, if he had ever been married.
You will need your NSO birth certificate, your cenomar an Id. there might be some other documents that I left out that you might need. After you apply for license, There is a 10 day waiting period and the license is good for anywhere in the Philippines. You will also want to ask them to expedite the Marriage certificate to the NSO as the Nebraska service center is asking for the NSO copy of the Marriage certificate with the I-130 petition.
There are lots of reasons why one person will choose one visa over the other. My wife and I decided to get married in the Philippines as it was more important to us that her family was able to be at her wedding even though it was a small wedding, that was more important then her being over here faster.

Paul and Svetlana reacted to Cheezees in Roc after fraud charges and divorce
Within 2 months of arriving your husband divorced you due to infidelity, you have little evidence to show your marriage was entered into in good faith, your husband has evidence to show the marriage was a fraud, you did not file for removal of conditions, you have new man with whom you want to get married before the expiration of your GC for reasons of maintaining the GC only (your words), you have not kept abreast of immigration laws, you think your husband's sponsorship is going to extend to this 2nd marriage which would supposedly take place "just in the nick of time", and you believe you are not out-of-status.
I think you and your new man will have a better start by the both of you moving to Thailand. No GC needed there!

Paul and Svetlana reacted to Yenita in APPROVED- After re-submitting more evidence!
    HAPPY DAY!

Finally got my husbands conditions removed and we are super excited! Getting his new green card in 30 days!

The first time submitting our documents to prove our marriage is bonafide wasn't good enough and I could see why. We thought we sent good documents but after looking it wasn't really good at all. But, when they sent the Horrifying letter saying they needed more evidence to prove our marriage was real, it broke our hearts. We didn't give up and we spent time looking everywhere online, asking around and going through stacks of papers that showed anything of us being together with in the 2 years since he came, we had come up at the end with a ton of papers. Thanks to everyone for sharing any information and I too will share what I had submitted and in hopes this will help others who are struggling as much as my husband and I did.

I pasted the letter that I submitted and a list of what went with it at the very bottom of this message, I did Highlight our names and addresses on everything that had it, I printed out things from websites that I couldn't get a letter from any company that didn't show both names on the letter, but on their website would have both names so I printed that out by doing a "Screen Shot" here's a link on how to do that: http://www.wikihow.com/Take-a-Screenshot-in-Microsoft-Windows.

Got bank statements from the bank with no charge which is awesome, but I think other banks would charge for printing out monthly statements for you. Submitted every month, I know some people say every 2 months is good too. But, I didn't want to risk it.
IRS Transcripts of past Tax Returns, Thanks to a wonderful person on this site who provided information on this, here's a link for that: http://www.irs.gov/Individuals/Get-Transcript
And Pictures of us together, I had photoshop program (You can use "Publisher" "Word" or any other program to do this) to put 3-4 pictures on each page and wen't to Office Max to get them printed out, color copies are about $0.59 ea. but if you have a USB/Thumb Drive you can use the "Self serve" copy machine for less. But if you want better quality better to ask the Clerk working there.

That's all I can think of, But here's that letter, It's best to use your OWN words to make it more genuine when making this letter . I hope this helps anyone who needs the help ()

Paul and Svetlana reacted to TBoneTX in Any tips for adjusting incoming fiance to American life?
Along the lines of a social network:
Mrs. T-B. had been to the U.S. before, but she became exceptionally homesick once she was here "permanently." One early thing that I did really paid off. On Mrs. T-B.'s very second Sunday here, I dropped her at a Spanish-language church service and waited to pick her up when it was due to let out. She emerged quite late, bubbling with happiness, and introduced me to some people whom she'd met. I took her back there a couple more times until she'd developed a nice network of acquaintances.

Of note, none of those direct contacts endured, but she made connections through those people, and it kept her from feeling alone.

You know up-front that the church attendees will not be shady people. Mrs. T-B. isn't religious, and your fiancee might not be, either; the social aspect is the chief thing, and for us it was a highly successful venture.

I am the beneficiary who will soon be moving, however I will chip in anyway haha. The thing I am most anxious about is making new friends. Maybe research clubs/societies in your local area that may interest her, therefore she will meet lots of new people
