Also, do you have a rental lease together or could you have family and hospital staff write a letter about you two as a couple? Do you have car insurance together or life insurance with each other as the beneficiaries?

I want to say this a nicely as possible ..... CALL THE USCIS until they get tired of you!!!! You have you case# that is all you need. The Department of Homeland Security works for YOU!!!!! You paid them to do a job within a reasonable amount of time. You expect results, they are a business like any other and have customer service requirements like any other. You can be demanding in a polite and respectful manner. The phone number is 1-800-375-5283

Just keep redialing until you get through took me about 15 or 17 redials but I was finally able to get through.
Also June filers each of you are in my prayers. Allah works in the best of ways. Please stay strong and stay encouraged. I know that we are with out better halves but we do have each other...Send hugs and love to everyone...

Definitely no giving up!! And I feel the exact same way as you, my husband and our life together is worth everyday of this long process. I just hate feeling like our lives are literally on hold because of paperwork. Wishing the powers above hear us and speed up this journey, anything would help!

As remember you are in my prayers may Allah(God) bless, strengthen, and keep each of you until you in the arms of your missing loves again or for the first time.
I have a really nice note to share this is the email that my husband sent me today along with all the documents we need to complete out Packets, well I just want to spread the Love.......

The birth certificate is really only needed from the US Citizen. It's used to show that you're actually a citizen. That's why the alternative to it is a US passport or a naturalization certificate.
Your evidence is also on point. You have the boarding passes and passport stamps, and along with your secondary evidence you should be good to go. I'd argue you don't need the letter, but I guess with evidence the more the better.
It looks like you have everything you need. Just making sure, are your passport photos 2x2?

I am happy to see the 5 months back on the processing.
I have friends who file around same time as me some even after but lucky them they got that California place and already approved at NVC with case#'s. Just crazy.
Hey at least not at Texas or Vermont.

Okay, so I was not going to call NVC multiple times every week but I was bored at work today. Decided to call, I figured I had nothing to lose. I was right, I didn't. . . I gained . . . .my case and IIN numbers!!!

Happy Saturday June filers I have been pretty quiet as of late. However I wanted to take time out and share something with you.
The two hardest tests on the spiritual road are the patience to wait for the right moment and the courage not to be disappointed with what we encounter.

Timeline update....NVC received our notice on July 28 I haven't made any calls since then but figure based on others I still have about 2 weeks wait.

I thought I'd share because other people's timelines are helpful. NVC recieved our case July 22nd and we got our case number today August 7th (roughly 17days).
I think of you those of you waiting for those approvals daily. I pray the wait is much shorter than expected, especially for those of you who are not with your spouse.

Yes do update us on every detail throughout your journey for it helps us know how you're doing with your case and it also helps you as you share your ideas with other VJ members here (I did say".... to update your Visa Journey here" when I started this thread.. )Also thank you so much for your consideration.. I for one am without my husband and it just doesn't feel normal to be separated like this. IT hurts greatly BUT I know being patient, loving with my husband and believing that one day all this will be over is the key to holding on in this journey.

I'm realizing the value of calling the NVC to get your case number. I received the case numbers in the mail today in the NVC welcome letter. I received my case numbers when I called NVC on July 30. I filled out the DS-261 on July 31 and was invoiced for AOS on August 4. Calling definitely benefits you.
